Unique Oceanfront Home in Enclosed Area

Kona Onenalo is a ONE-OF-A-KIND property on the beautiful Kona Coast. There are 12 identical and individual homes in this quiet, gated community. The complex sits on a point of land adjoining La Aloa Bay, and is just a 3 minute walk to Magic Sands Beach. You'll love the sunsets!

The House is two stories, with two bedrooms upstairs, complete with king-size beds and private baths. The master bedroom has spectacular ocean views with only the sound of the waves to lull you to sleep. The living room features huge sliding doors which open to the covered lanai to create true island living. While sitting on the lanai, be sure to keep an eye open for spinner dolphins, and, in the winter, humpback whales!

The pool, spa and grounds are expertly maintained. Within minutes of your arrival, you will feel like you have your own piece of paradise.

A taste of paradise

A beautiful well furnished house in a great location . We enjoyed relaxing on the deck while watching our children and grandchildren play in the pool. Sunsets were amazing. A short walk to White Sands Beach and snorkeling.

Wow!

This property was absolutely amazing in every way from even before our first arriving to our last second. We had all the information needed before we arrived, beautiful accommodations with thought and care behind everything inside for whatever we cared to do during our stay. The owner contact was caring and very responsive to any questions or concerns presented. Would definitely look to stay here again!

Wonderful place to vacation

This was the best home we have rented so far. Very well appointed. You have it all the pool, ocean, snorkeling. Everything you need in the kitchen. Towels nice bedding close to store. Would definitely stay here again.

We were more than happy with our rental for this property! The property owner could not have been more helpful and more communicative and the house itself was fabulously stocked with necessities and their location was incredible! If only we could have stayed a lot longer!

exceptionally well-equipped ocean-front home

This is a comfortable and unusually well-equipped home (including children's books, beach chairs, boogie board, snorkeling gear, food staples, even spare toothbrushes). It was very comfortable for a group of two grandparents, two parents, and a five year old. Views of the ocean are particularly good from the master bedroom lanai. Peaceful and quiet, can hear sounds of the waves. Walking distance to outstanding snorkeling. Communication with owner very good.

Great location

We enjoyed our stay and found this house to be a great location. The beach within walking distance was so convenient to just hang out at, and the popular snorkeling spot nearby was a real bonus. The house was comfortable and also had many helpful items (beach chairs, ice chest, snorkeling gear and body boards). The host Brenda was always responsive and easy to communicate with. Sunsets totally lived up to the hype!

Beautiful beachfront sunsets and excellent snorkeling location!

Beautiful beachfront sunsets from the porch, outstanding snorkeling along the shoreline of Kona Onenalo, a quiet pool, 2 parking spots, and so much more! Really appreciated the availability of beach chairs, towels and umbrella, as well as coolers and snorkel fins during our stay. We’ll stocked with shampoo, laundry detergent, and paper products. The two upstairs bedrooms stayed comfortably cool in the evenings with window air conditioning units. Would highly recommend this 3 bedroom 2.75 bath home!!!

Amazing/wonderful Family trip

I felt like we were staying at a family/friends house. The owner made sure that our stay was perfect, with suggestions for beaches and restaurants. We spent all of our time on the lanai looking out at the ocean, talking, eating and hanging out together (it had been months since our family was together). The pool was clean and well maintained, used it everyday. The house location was close (driving) to bars and restaurants, but far enough away to be peaceful and quiet. Best part of the trip was the snorkeling from the property. One caveat is that this area is natural and untouched, with sharp rocks and long spines sea urchins, so entry and exit can be tricky. But what an amazing experience, something that I will never forget. Only negative part of our trip, is I wish we would spent more time at the property, a week was not sufficient. Thank you for an amazing vacation and life long memories!

Spring Break Hawaii Holiday

Absolutely the best location for a family get away ! Had a previous reservation at a resort community that we canceled immediately after discovering this gorgeous tropical home in a great location. The location is quiet and provides the best view of Pacific sunsets we have ever enjoyed! The unit location provided easy view of the pool of our young grandchildren. One of the best features of the Kona Onenalo condominium is the 5 min walk with your buggy boards to Magic Sands Beach and Kona "Longboards & Big-Wave's". As we left for the airport, everyone shouted , "Same Time Next Year"!

Wonderful Vacation Condo!

We stayed in this gorgeous condo for 9 nights in October. From the moment we entered the front door and opened the sliding doors onto the lanai, we knew our decision to stay here was the right one! We felt as though we were staying in a home, rather than a vacation property. The furnishings are top end; the art is amazing; the kitchen is well-stocked with everything we needed to prepare meals at home and enjoy dining on the lanai. The tiki bar lends an especially festive atmosphere to sunset happy hour! The linens are high quality and the mattresses were extremely comfortable. A few afternoons had high temperatures and it was a bit warm in the living room or upstairs bedrooms, but there are several fans in each room which help cool the space fairly quickly. We swam and snorkeled twice a day so having the use of plush beach towels (provided) and a place to hang our wet gear outside was very helpful. The condo includes a washer and dryer so we were able to wash laundry a few times during our stay. We found it very difficult to leave at the end our our vacation. Our family will definitely return to this wonderful vacation home in paradise. Thank you, Brenda, for all your help and communication. Mostly, mahalo for welcoming us into your lovely Kona home!

Kona Onenalo #8

Four of us stayed at Kona Onenalo #8. It was a perfect stay......the location is great, short drive in to Kona town, short drive to Kahaluu Beach to snorkel and a wonderful ocean view. We saw spinner dolphins and watched the moon set in to the ocean (never in my life have I seen this). There is everything you need and more provided. The owner provides everything needed for your stay; shampoo/conditioner, soaps, t.p., kitchen is fully stocked. There are beach towels, chairs, boogie boards, snorkel equipment, coolers. I am probably forgetting some things, but my point is that it helps eliminate many things that you may normally have to pack and bring. The owners were very nice and were granted early check in and late check out; which was wonderful being able to stay until we had to leave for the airport. Thank you Brenda for sharing your home with us.

Great place to stay in a beautiful tropical paradise!

This rental had everything you need to have an awesome time in one of the best places on earth! The accommodations were more than adequate and there were little touches that made it exceptional. Our favorite parts were the table outside on the lanai and the small bar the we quickly put into service. It's not far from town and Magic Sands is an easy walk even for small kids and all the gear you need is right in the house. We saw a turtle in the water just outside the gate from the homes the first day there. Brenda was on call if we needed anything else which wasn't much. I've been to Kona three times this has been the best place yet! I highly reccomend to families or couples traveling together.

Awesome! Fantastic home away from home.

Brenda was great to work with and accommodated our schedule. Great family memories were made. The mornings were great watching the dolphins out front of the property from the lanai. The sunsets were breath taking. The location of the pool was great and refreshing. Waking to go snorkeling before breakfast, just down the road, was refreshing and convenient. The home had everything you need plus. My husband loves to cook and found utensils, pans and spices he needed. All you need to pack is your swimsuit and a few outfits as they have a washer and dryer too. So pack and come enjoy this paradise home. Price and Kaiser families

Can't beat this location in Kona

We are a family of four adults who have rented a number of vacation homes over the years. This is one of the best vacation homes we have stayed in and the owner is trustworthy and easy to deal with. It was absolutely wonderful arriving and feeling so welcomed and the location was perfect! Our son enjoyed playing in the waves at White Sands and the snorkeling at the nearby park was incredible. As well we did a lot of day hikes that were within a short drive. The home has privacy and enjoys a wonderful view of the ocean. The very first evening we saw whales from the deck! The kitchen is very well stocked so if you forget something at the store, it is likely somewhere on the shelves. Everything feels comfortable and for the evenings, there are an ample number of games to choose from. We highly recommend this home.

Wonderful rental!

Our family of three couples recently rented this home and found it to be beyond perfect! Brenda and Jeff are great to work with and have seen to every detail that would make your stay ideal. The home is stunning and the photos are just what you will get plus more. The bedrooms are very comfortable and the upstairs master bedroom has a lovely lanai with ocean view. The home and storage area are stocked with everything you could need and more. This is the best stocked kitchen we have ever rented. The grounds are gorgeous and it is very relaxing listening to the ocean at the pool and watching spinner dolphins play. This home is located in a great spot along Alii Drive with Magic Sands beach and Kahaluu Beach Park on either side. The snorkeling in the little cove attached to the property is very good when the tide is low. We all loved this home and would highly recommend it for your perfect stay in Kona!

Troical Heaven! You will love it!

My wife and I had a wonderful visit at Kona Onenalo number eight in early November. Our hosts, Brenda and Jeff, have outfitted their house with everything that you could possibly want for a Hawaii vacation. If we were going to the beach or going snorkeling or going hiking there was equipment and host-writtten books showing suggestions on where to go to have a thrilling adventure. There were beach chairs and loads of beach towels! And, the house itself has a marvelous view of the Pacific ocean. and we saw dolphins exercising and showing their acrobatic moves while we sat on the lanai enjoying our meals. The kitchen and the pantry were beautifully equipped. We made very few trips to the grocery store! The tropical grounds around the 2000 square-foot house are beautifully maintained by a gardner who loves his work. After a swim in the spacious pool we spent the sunset hour meeting and enjoying our few neighbors and comparing favorite snorkeling spots. The beds were terrific and we woke-up to the sights/sounds of the Pacific and the sounds of the tropical birds. The natural ventilation and the numerous fans kept the house at a comfortable temperature day and night. And, of course, everything worked -- TV, high-speed internet, etc. I would strongly recommend this house to one or two couples and families of up to six. You will love it!

Perfect Ironman Vacation Rental

Spent the week before Ironman getting ready to race in a great vacation rental. Best equipped VRBO rental we've ever been in. Pantry fully stocked with cooking needs, locker full of snorkeling equipment, beach towels, plenty of everything. Owners are very accessible and they keep the place in great condition. Location watching the ocean and sunsets is unbeatable. Short drive into town, and you can go up the hill if Ali'i Drive is slow. Quiet peaceful place to stay. Hope to return when I qualify again.
