Very central to all things fun at Folly. Hardwoods were lovely and clean, nice decor. Hard to find front door, but the view of the ocean is exceptional and balcony is spacious. Easy beach access and nice to have parking off of Ashley. 3 bedrooms with 3 full baths were nice.

So glad the location, ocean views, and spacious balcony delivered! Good note on the front door and we will look into better signage to make it easier to find. The hardwoods, three full baths, and parking off Ashley are definitely some of our favorite features. Hope y'all make it back to Folly soon!

I loved the property and would stay again if in the area. Walking distance to the shops and restaurants therefore never made a meal. Just steps to the beach and once on the beach then you can see the pier. Sunrise on the beach with the pier was spectacular! Make sure you hit Burts for provisions. Loggerheads put our basketball game on and is two blocks away. Great spot to stay and great communication with the property managers.

We’ve stayed in this building several times. This was the first time we stayed in this unit. It isn’t as nice as the others we stayed in. It’s a bit dated. Toilet seats are worn and need replaced, Baseboards need painted. Curtain rod in living room came apart and not put back together correctly. Light fixture over dining table looks like a hall light. It’s not the right kind of lighting for over a table. Deck furniture is not in the best shape. Put more hooks in the bathrooms for towels, bathing suits, etc. The cleaners missed cleaning one of the showers altogether. Pictures are just randomly hung on walls. A little bit of effort and updating would step this unit up and compete with the others. Location is great.

Great stay!

We enjoyed our time at this location. Perfect location and great access to beach and to pier. Accommodations were just what we needed. I would not hesitate to book this property again.

Excellent Location and Clean!

We loved our stay and the location on the beach is perfect! An easy walk to the main strip, and incredible beach access. The balcony was perfect for family games and meals, and you cannot beat the view.

Location was fantastic, decor and furnishings were great, building is a little dated.. it’s with in walking distance to shops, restaurants and the pier.. it over all it was a great find and had a great vacation.

Great views of the dunes and beach, and a quick walk to the beach as well. Quick and easy to walk back to the condo from the beach to grab snacks, bathroom breaks, etc. while the rest of the gang stayed at the beach - could even see them on the beach from the condo! Condo itself was a great fit for our family, and the elevator was handy with hauling our luggage. We’d happily stay here again.

Starting in the garage, the parking spaces were hard to maneuver/open car doors. The patio was unusable because the chairs were broken and the table/deck area was filthy. The main picture of the unit featured this deck/chairs/table overlooking the beach, so not being able to access this was a disappointment. There was no toilet paper rod in one of the bathrooms. No plunger for the drains in two of the bathrooms. There was mold on the shower curtain in the queen bed bathroom. The blinds in the bunk bed room was broken. The curtain rod in the living room was broken. There was no cover for the dishwasher dispenser. The floor seemed to have not been mopped in a long time. They were filthy/leaving bottom of socks/feet black. The couch and chairs in the living room had seen better days. No support and when sitting down, you sink. Overall, the unit needs some care, attention and upkeep.

Perfect location

This condo is a perfect spot on Folly—park your car and then just walk every where! The beach is right across the street. It’s clean and comfortable and for us, it was perfect. Highly recommend!

Great time at Folly

Great location to restaurants - we could see the beach out the back deck, but could also walk to all of our favorite spots! The unit was pretty clean. There were some loud nightly parties while we were there which made it less than desirable for sleeping one evening. Other than that, no complaints.

Check in was easy. Sitting on the porch was lovely. VIew to the beach was wonderful. Access to the beach very easy and short. The things that were not great could be easily fixed by owner: The kitchen was not well equipped - knives were dull, not a full set of measuring cups, no salt or pepper, no washcloths were provided with linens. Not friendly to people flying in and can't bring their own stuff.

The condo was wonderful - spacious comfortable living and dining rooms, kitchen with many amenities, large primary bedroom with comfy bed, and two smaller bedrooms, 3 bathrooms. The deck was roomy, with a table and 4 chairs and a smaller high table with 2 chairs. The view looking forward and to the right was beautiful, and we enjoyed watching the ocean and beach. The view to the left was obstructed by a large condo building, since we were on the first floor. Parking was under the building, providing cover for the car. The location was within walking distance of restaurants and the grocery store. We certainly enjoyed our stay and would love to return sometime.

Perfection

Check in instructions were very easy and communicated to us in multiple ways (email and text). The property manager actually gave us the option of checking in at noon on the day of our arrival for an addition 50 which gave us an extra afternoon at the beach! Very convenient beach access and incredible view of the beach from the porch. The condo was very clean and well stocked. Property managers were readily available and quickly responded to our questions. Could not recommend this place enough!

Folly beachfront condo stat

Very nice property and a great value based on location. The property could certainly use a coat of paint. The biggest issue was the doors to the deck did not lock properly. Otherwise it was a great stay and would definitely recommend.

Great location and view, but cleanliness was a little below par. The coffee machine basket was full of coffee grounds from a previous guest.

Thank you for the review! This villa recently transitioned from another management group and this was the last cleaning from the previous company. We feel terrible that the cleaning group left coffee grounds in the coffee maker. Most importantly, we hope everyone had a great time on Folly Beach! We hope to host a future visit soon

Nice location though needs updating

Upon our arrival, there were some very upsetting things that were found in closets and some cleanliness issues. The property management company addressed those issues for us in a quick fashion, though. The art work throughout the house need some serious updating, and it would be nice if there were also some basic things Provided in the kitchen like salt and pepper, coffee filters, perhaps some Ziploc bags.

Lovely Fall Getaway

The property highlight is certainly the beach views and sounds. Lovely covered outside areas. The elevator and stairs were convenient. Wonderful access to everything great about Folly. Everything in the rental operated smoothly aside from the keyless entry. The mattresses were comfortable, but poorly fitted with surprisingly low quality sheets. The parking spots for this particular rental are tricky. As mentioned, they stock only the bare minimum - like 1 garbage bag for 6 nights. Overall a lovely getaway spot and we would use to again.

It was okay

I was a little disappointed with the construction going on right across where our access to the beach was. At one point our access was closed off. Our lights were flickering inside and smoke alarms were not in working condition. Seemed electrical Issue. On fridge license showed expired in april. Floors had not been cleaned. Light fixtures and windows extremely dirty. We did love the 3 bedroom 3 baths. Door handles and slider was broken.

Thank you for taking the time to review Larks Beach. We are sorry to hear that you were impacted by the beach renourishment. This project was difficult to pin point where closures would be at any given time. The beach work has since been completed, providing beautiful new sand that was needed. The patio door handles have also been addressed and cleaning issues were discussed with our housekeeping team. We hope that despite these disruptions that everyone was able to enjoy Folly Beach. Excellent location!

We loved the location and proximity to beach (across the street) and down town area (within walking distance)! The property management company was great to work with and quick to respond. We were surprised that there were no pot holders, kitchen towels and knives were very dull. These little things should be attended to with each stay. The owner needs to make some improvements and should be more aware of updates needed ... bathroom sick and shower issues, no signage on the awkward light switch issues, broken lamp. As an owner of properties myself I feel that the owner should be on top of these small things as they were disruptive to the over all experience. We would use the property management company again but would choose to stay in a different condo. This is our experience and yours may be better so don't let the little things get in the way of this great location!!
