CarriageLoft - Full Kitchen & Pool Access

Relax in Auburn's Gold Country at CarriageLoft, a private retreat with its own entrance, full kitchen, and countryside views. A queen bed and sleeper sofa accommodate up to four guests. Enjoy access to the pool, spa, and backyard, with restaurants and coffee shops a short drive away. Outdoor amenities are accessible to guests of CarriageLoft and CottagePoolHouse and occupants of the Main House.

SLEEPING & LIVING
CarriageLoft is a separate accommodation on our country property, alongside the main house and separately rented Cottage Pool House. Large windows overlook the pastures, gardens, and pool area. A queen bed and sleeper sofa accommodate up to four guests, making the loft a comfortable choice for a couple or small family.

FULL KITCHEN
Prepare meals with a sink, dishwasher, gas cooktop range, electric oven, microwave, and full-size refrigerator.

PRIVATE SPACE & AMENITY ACCESS
You have private use of CarriageLoft and its separate entrance. The backyard, pool, spa, barbecue area, fire pit, volleyball court, ping-pong, and outdoor recreation areas are accessible to guests of CarriageLoft and CottagePoolHouse and occupants of the Main House. The hosts may use the backyard, but rarely do. Please be considerate of others enjoying the grounds.

POOL & SPA
The pool is not heated. The spa takes about one hour to warm up and may be used once per day; please coordinate with us.

PETS & HOUSE RULES
One pet is allowed with prior approval. Additional small dogs may be considered with prior approval. No smoking, parties, or events. Visitors require permission. Maximum occupancy is four guests. Check-in is after 4:00 p.m.; checkout is before 11:00 a.m.

EV CHARGING & SEASONAL EXTRAS
A Tesla charger and electrical outlets are available. Please ask about compatibility and charging arrangements before arrival. When available, we enjoy sharing fresh eggs and summer or fall produce from the garden; availability varies.

HOLIDAY STAYS
Thanksgiving and Christmas 2026 stays have a five-night minimum. Check the calendar for current availability.

We had such a wonderful stay in Auburn! The property was beautiful, peaceful, and such a relaxing place for our family to spend a couple of days together. We especially loved the pool, hot tub, the swing, volleyball court, and beautiful garden. There were so many great outdoor spaces to enjoy, and it really felt like a little getaway without having to travel too far from home.We appreciated all the thoughtful touches from the owners as well which included a nice bottle of red wine left for us in our loft, and fresh chicken eggs in the fridge. It was a lovely place to relax, spend quality time together, and make some great memories. We really enjoyed our stay and would happily return!

I came with co workers (ladies) and we had the best time it’s beautiful here and I definitely will make plans to return next summer. Hosts are so nice. We ate at El Tapatio and Monkey Cat both were delicious. Wanted to try Burgers and cream but didn’t make it there.

This place is amazing and I hope we can come back with more friends and maybe stay in the other vrbo on the same property which is even closer to the pool with waterfalls and the spa that is next to a kiddie pool. You get to stay very close to town and there is so much beautiful nature nearby. Chicken eggs fresh from the homestead when available!

The apartment on top of the 3 car garage was lovely and quiet. The full kitchen made breakfasts and dinners at home easy. Bob and Jean were super helpful and responded immediately when we had questions. The property has a large pool, a hot tub, facilities to cook outside and a volley ball court. Would definitely book again!

It is a quiet, peaceful place to truly be able to unplug and reconnect. The hosts allowed us to pick fresh lemons for lemonade and enjoy their beautiful yard! Truly a place to enjoy

Beautiful, well maintained home and property equipped with everything you need and more. Gorgeous gardens, fresh eggs await in the fridge, BBQ options galore and beautiful pool to swim in and relax by. A hidden gem in the quiet, county setting. Highly recommended should you find yourself in the Auburn area.

Auburn getaway!

This house was amazing. Beautiful yard, amazing views, and located just far enough from town to have everything you need nearby and still feel a bit secluded. Bob had something cooking in the smoker which filled the yard with something delicious! Both he and Jean were a pleasure to meet and chat with a bit. All in all a great trip and awesome property!

Amazing!

We had so much fun here. The property is absolutely stunning. We had fun spending one of our days at the pool and multiple nights in the spa. We were greated with farm fresh eggs and a bottle of wine. We fell asleep to the sounds of chirping frogs. We have stayed at a handful of VRBO’s and this one was well stocked with everything we could need or didn’t have. My kids loved our stay and are wondering when we can go back.?

Wonderful and Relaxing

This was such a relaxing stay! The gardens and pool area are beautiful. The kitchen is well stocked with every type of utensil, small appliance, or dinnerware you could want. We arrived later in the evening and walked in to find a lovely bottle of wine and fresh flowers waiting for us! In addition, the dozen farm fresh eggs Jean left in the frig were a welcome treat! If we are ever back in the area, we will definitely stay again! Thanks for the enjoyable stay Jean and Bob!

Stay in the country & be mins from town

Terrific small apartment over a lovely country property. We particularly enjoyed the large hot tub. Our only challenge was finding the door. We communicated with the owner and quickly found the correct door. (They have more than one apartment for rent on either side of their lovely pool.) Comfortable bed! Definitely would stay here again. : )

The pool was fabulous!

We stayed in the Carriage Loft for 4 nights and had a wonderful time. The loft was clean and the bathroom had a great selection of hair products and body wash. The bed was very comfortable and my husband took advantage of the cozy robes for our use during our stay. The pool is fantastic and there is even a toddler pool which our 3 year old granddaughter loved. We barbequed and ate outside by the pool every night. The only drawback was the lack of non breakable serveware to use for food. We would definitely return for another visit!

Carriage Loft

We really enjoyed the location of the carriage loft! It was close to town and stores but felt serene and private. The loft itself was well appointed and clean. There were some repairs that could be made, but nothing that impacted our stay or would prevent us from returning- for sure! All provisions for a full kitchen were included and the linens/towels were plenty and nice. My only real complaint is that the hot tub was not heated, one of the main reasons that I wanted to stay there. On the other hand, I'm sure if we would have made that known, it could have been heated for our second night at least, but we didn't notice till then. The owners Jean and Bob were lovely and Bob let us tour the carriage house, which was even more charming than the carriage loft. Next time we will stay there for sure!

Met Our Needs

We rented this loft for two nights before New Years with our two Border Collies. It is a small but very nice setup that was perfect for us. It was clean with a well stocked kitchen and comfy bedroom. The grounds are gorgeous and would be great for a summer stay. The reason I did not give it 5 stars was the frustrating and irrational heating system. There are three units in the ceiling which gave adequate coverage but the remote controls were horrible. It was extremely difficult to set them unless you set a timer hidden under the sliding compartment on each remote control. Every time you wanted to make a change you had to reset the timer, the fan, and the mode. The owner has an app to control everything remotely and said we could contact her if we had problems. Rather than do that, we opted to struggle on our own. Also, when we arrived at check-in time, the units had not been turned on so it was feeezing cold and took hours for the unit to warm up all the space. Aside from the heating system everything else was great.

Not what it seems & unreasonable hosts.

The first night we were there we were awakened in the middle of the night by a strong smoke smell from nearby fires. The poor air quality was rising quickly. After it reached 300 we messaged our hosts for help with no response so called hotels to get out of the area. We struggled to breath easily. We left early in the morning after only being there a few hours. The air quality reached 500 a few hours later. We were grateful to have left. They responded hours later that the smoke will clear our soon, which was nebulous, unhelpful & not true. They said it was up to VRBO to give a refund. VRBO said it was up to the owner. The owner said they would not refund for fire/smoke issues. We had not used the place, put the sheets in the washer for them & did not return. We were charged for all 4 days. Finally they advertised the pool & hot tub but know that you have to pay a lot to have the pool heated and there are restrictions around the hot tub not to mention it is cold & you have to wait hours for it actually heat up. This place was not what it seemed from the description. The hosts were uncaring, unreasonable & unhelpful.

We strive to provide a wonderful experience for our guests and I’m disappointed that your stay wasn’t what you expected. As you know, during the dates of your stay the area experienced a wildfire. The Mosquito Fire went on to burn over 75,000 acres. Nearly 12,000 people were ordered to evacuate. While it was incredibly disappointing that the air quality was poor during your stay, as a host we cannot be held responsible for wildfires or unforeseen weather conditions. You also mentioned that we didn’t respond to your text but it was sent at 4:45 am and we were asleep. We responded to you as soon as we could that morning. We do clearly note that there is a cost to heat the pool and spa and that it does take some time to heat which is why we request advanced notice. Fortunately, the fire is now fully contained and the air in Auburn is once again clear. We would be happy to have you back again and give you the experience you were hoping for. Auburn is a beautiful place and wildfires of this magnitude are rare. Please reach out to us directly if you would like to arrange another visit. Kind regards, Jean
