Come and enjoy 'Jake's Joint'. Our year-round Shore House is only one block from the beach - just a few minutes walking distance to the sand, Jenkinson's Boardwalk, charter fishing boats and numerous restaurants and cafes.

Our newly remodeled home offers natural hardwood floors, custom cabinetry, granite countertops, vaulted ceilings, central air, washer/dryer, three bedrooms, (2 - double beds, 1 queen bed), one full bath, fully equipped eat-in kitchen, game table & chairs, large family room/sun porch, thick cushioned window seat for naps and reading, ceiling fans and an outside private shower, large paved patio with patio furniture, gas grill and private off-street parking.

You're invited to come and enjoy summertime fun down-the-shore, as well as quiet weekends with family and friends; surf fishing and boardwalk strolling in the cooler months.

Girls weekend at the beach!

Enjoyed our second annual girl's weekend this past April. Excellent location, great > home with a brand new kitchen, very comfortable and spotless! Perfect location for walks on the > boardwalk, just a block away from the beach and we always hit the shops downtown. Hope to stay there again next April!

great space, very close to beach

All I wanted was a peaceful week down the shore, staying as close to the beach as possible with enough amenities to be comfortable. This house absolutely delivered! The patio space under the house is great for a group, the designated parking is super clutch for PPB, and it was incredibly walkable (it's really quick to the beach but the beach was quite wide when I was there so a bit more of a walk to the shoreline). Communication with host was easy, I'd be glad to book this house again.

Beautiful home! Everything was fantastic. Very well done remodel and I could not have asked for anything better. Close to Ocean Avenue and the boardwalk. I would highly recommend this home to anyone thinking about renting in Point Pleasant Beach. The owners are awesome - thanks for a great week!

Thanks so much for your review. Everyone seems to enjoy the new large kitchen as well as the game table in the living room. The new layout helps to accommodate more activities. We still think the best thing is being so close to the beach and boardwalk without being right in the middle of the hustle bustle! Literally, only a few blocks from everything going on down the shore. Thanks again, hope you will come back soon.

Family bonding

Amazing house. Could not ask for more. Never needed car, except for groceries. Walked to boardwalk, deep sea fishing, parasailing, ice cream and restaurants. I can't tell you how PERFECT this house is. Underneath the house was our favorite for game night. All loved outdoor shower. Clean and"homey".we are returning next year. A score of 10!😁

Excellent Stay

My wife and I stayed at this property for a week in July and were very pleased with both the layout of the unit and the location relative to the beach and other attractions. The unit itself has 4 bedrooms (3 full beds and 1 bunk bed), which provides ample lodging for two couples and any kids. There are plenty of cooking utensils, cutlery, spices, etc. for making breakfast or the occasional dinner. There's also a washer/dryer in one of the bedrooms should you need to do any laundry. In the back of the house there are two parking spaces for you and your family and the host also provides permits for overnight parking, if needed. Four beach badges are also provided (kids get on the beach free). Beneath the house there is a collection of furniture setup for lounging. Between this area and the front porch there are several nice areas to enjoy outdoor lounging for times you want to be outdoors, but take a break from the beach. The location of the house is perfect. Only 2-3 blocks from Jenkinson's Inlet and most importantly the side of the beach it's near is sparsely populated and never overcrowded. Further down the beach toward's Jenkinson's/Tiki Bar you'll find much larger crowds. Those attractions are within walking distance if you'd like to visit them, but nice not to have to compete with others for beach space. The property is also adjacent to many of the best restaurants in Point Pleasant (Red's Lobster Pot, Shrimp Box, Jack's Patio Bar, etc.) and in my view couldn't be better situated. We would certainly consider coming back and would highly recommend this property to anyone planning their next summer vacation.

Beautiful!

We loved Jon's place! It was just as the photos show. We loved the open concept and it included everything we needed. We especially loved the underneath outdoor area. It's a great place to hang out in the shade or if it rains.

Great place close to everything

The owners are very nice and comforting people, Their rental was very modern and clean. 4 bedrooms all lined up in a row, 2 tables to eat on, large kitchen and large living room area with sectional couch. 2 entrances, hugh backyard and hugh under the home living area with beautiful outdoor furniture and ceiling lighting. We enjoyed ourselves immensely. One block to boardwalk and beach. Very good possibility we will be back.

Jakes joint

We travelled from ohio to visit family in NJ. Jakes joint was the perfect place to stay being close to the beach, boardwalk, fishing and shops. The patio underneath the house was our favorite place to entertain family and friends who came to visit. The home comes with all the necessary things making you feel like home. The outside shower came in handy and the home is very clean. We will definitwly stay here again when we come back to visit.

great beach vacation

great house...extremely clean and has everything you would need. Lots of outdoor space including a large covered area. great outdoor shower. great location on a quiet street close to a quieter part of the beach for swimming but also close enough to walk to the boardwalk activities plus you can see the weekly fireworks right from the back deck!

Fantastic place!

Our family had a perfect vacation thanks to this gem of a home. The location could not be any more convenient, especially with four kids in tow. We were able to enjoy the beach, boardwalk, and restaurants without ever having to get in the car. The house offers so many amenities that our family felt right at home from the moment we arrived. Great Place!

Just got back from "Jake's Joint" with my family and what a wonderful time! The place was SO clean when we arrived and has such a nice comforting home feeling. The owners provide a large folder full of information on Point Pleasant and local attractions, restaurants, menus, etc..that my family surely benefited from. The outside showers hose is detachable with a long hose which is good for rinsing and washing off the little ones after the beach. Plenty of room with the four bedrooms and place for storage such as closets and dressers in each rooms. Anything you could think of to need for the kitchen is there too! Dishwasher and washer/dryer is a major plus to to keep up on laundry if your taking children there. I would highly recommend this place for any family! Nice friendly neighbors and great area. Looking forward to coming back next year!

Clean, cozy, and conveniently located shore house

I don't normally write reviews following trips but had to make an exception this time around. When my family and I first walked into "Jake's Joint" we were amazed with just how nice the property was and immediately said "we need to come back here next year". Finding a rental online can certainly be hit or miss. Most places don't live up to the pictures thanks to some fancy camera work. However, this house is certainly an exception. Feel free to rent here with confidence knowing you are in a nice house within a 5 minute walk to the beach.

We love the location of our home because it is so close to the beach and boardwalk but yet it's in a quieter area so we feel that we have it all! It's great to walk to Broadway Bar & Grill for a draft of Long Trail IPA and a burger, or to walk to the co-op seafood store and restaurant for their calamari salad with romaine, pistachios, and a spicy lime miso vinaigrette, or so many other options. Like Spike"s Restaurant for a bowl of Half & Half; half red chowder, half white chowder with a side of their famous cole slaw. It's a meal! Thanks again for your kind words. We are so happy when our guests share in a review about our home.

Best Kept Secret....

We just returned from our vacation and had to write a review about our stay in "Jakes Joint." Our family has been going to the Jersey shore for quite a few years. We decided to try Point Pleasant this year not knowing what to expect after this past year. My sister and her family joined us this year and they had arrived at the house before us. I was on the phone with her when she arrived and her first words walking in the house was, "Oh my god, this place is gorgeous!" This house was perfect for us! Plenty of space (4 adults, 4 small children), perfect location, awesome neighbors, great parking, comfortable patio with everything you could need. Everything is in walking distance (except the grocery store), easy walk to beach and rides at the boardwalk if you have kids. This place was just great! Before we came I had read the reviews and I found that everything that everyone had written was exactly what it was. The owners are so so nice and easy to contact if needed. We dont have a negative thing to say about this place at all! Thank you so much for making our vacation great! We want to go back!!!!!!!

We are so thankful. Our renovation was larger than we had initially planned for but we could not be happier with the results. You and your family were our first guests to enjoy the "new" Jake's Joint! Thank you so much for taking such good care of it. We have been hearing that the new look is "very beachy" which is awesome to hear and they really like the color scheme. It's so calming and clean looking! We enjoyed the challenge and the whole experience showed how so many people are willing to help others in time of need. We hope you are able to come back again! Great Family Rental, very close to beach!

I would recommend this rental to anyone looking to stay in Point Pleasant with children. It is very close to the beach, some great restaurants, fun for the kids and some pretty walks around Lake Louise. It has a real community feel, with lovely neighbours, plus quiet at night (again, good for the kids!). The house itself is well maintained and has everything you need, we had a lovely relaxing trip and would definitely stay again!

Comfortable and Relaxing

The house was beautiful and clean. All of the rooms were very comfortable. We have two small children so it was a perfect house for them and it was a super easy walk to the beach and boardwalk. We loved the patio out back for eating dinner and our kids loved riding their tricycles on the patio. Right across the street is the marina so everyday we walked over to feed bread to the swans that came to visit. The owners are very sweet and nice to work with. The next door neighbors were very kind and helpful :-)

Summer House

This was our second year staying at this house. Everything is exactly as shown. Exceptionaly clean. Walk to the beach, then home for lunch if you want. close enough to the beach, but far enough from the noise of the boardwalk. 2 parking spots, so convenient. Fully equipped for a great beach vacation. This year we had 6 people stay at the house. Outside shower came in handy. I would highly recommend this property for your beach vacation! Already planning next year's vacation. Owners were great to work with.

Friendly and Fun

Just one block to the beach, fishing boats, Lake Louise and the inlet to the ocean this location worked out perfectly for us. All of the comforts of home and a wonderful outside shower, patio and parking. The home was neat as a pin! We hope to return in the future.
