Among the Aspen and Spruce Trees, this mountain 5 bedroom 4 bath, 30 day minimum rental, custom built home is the perfect Steamboat Springs getaway. Large windows afford breathtaking views of the ski slopes and surrounding mountain peaks. The deck has a spectacular overview of Mt. Werner and is perfect for after a hike, bike or ski to relax and enjoy the sights. High mountain luxury will provide guests with a visit they will remember for years to come.

Alpine Hideaway sleeps up to 10 and has the amenities to suit your needs. Brand new kitchen, double headed showers and flat screen TVs throughout. The remote controlled fireplace is perfect for sitting by the fire without the hassle of building one. Mountain hiking/biking trails are 2 minutes away. Alpine Hideaway is less than one mile from the base of Steamboat Ski Area, and is two miles from downtown. The cooks kitchen and outdoor grill is equipped with all the extras. We welcome your arrival.

A saltwater hot tub perched on the outside deck allows for relaxation while enjoying all the views of the ski mountain and surrounding landscape.

Alpine Hideaway partners with Best Cleaning Company to ensure our house is clean and ready to go. Here is their COVID-19 Cleaning Protocol:
The solutions we use are listed on the U.S. EPA list of registered solutions that have been tested/proven to kill Coronavirus.
We have confirmed with our supplier that the solution we use kills Coronavirus within 45 seconds of contact. In addition to the disinfectant spray that we utilize, we also have a commercial grade steamer that gets the steam to the appropriate temperature to destroy viruses such as this.
Both methods of the spray solution and the commercial steamer can be used on any surface, fabric, wall, floor etc.
We have implemented stringent training policies to ensure all of our employees are taking extra precaution and preventative measures.
We clean a few medical centers in town that require us to have the necessary training and expertise to ensure our cleans are held to a high standard and things are getting cleaned/disinfected right.

Outstanding House for skiing

The house was outstanding! Logistics to ski, shop and dine were very easy. We enjoyed the hot tub and the house was top notch! Comfortable beds, great kitchen, plenty of place to relax after a hard day skiing.I recommend this house for your next ski vacation. I am sure it would also be a great place in the spring, summer and fall.

Nice house!

Really large house, well furnished plenty of space. Nice kitchen and outdoor gas grill, great hot tub. Nice views of the ski area.

Winter oasis

Great location, views of ski resort were awesome. Clean, a lot of stairs to get to multiple levels. Odd to only have access to laundry though garage doors. Hot tub was great also. Overall would rent again.

Awesome home

This home provided the perfect Xmas get away for our family of 10. It was clean and well appointed.The bedrooms were large and the common areas well furnished. We never felt cramped even when we had a few extras for dinner. I can only imagine how amazing the deck is in the warmer months. The kitchen was well equipped with cookware and staples.The home is conveniently located. The base, shops, grocery and liquor stores are only minutes away.After a long day skiing we’d come home to a very clean hot tub. Beach towels are even provided. Then games and cocktails by the beautiful fireplace. Barry was a pleasure to work. He was quick to respond and very accommodating.We can’t wait to return!

Great house full of comforts

Stayed here with a group of 7 people in March 2018. The location is perfect - right across from the mountain. Quick drive both to the mountain and nearby shopping center. The living room has a great view of the entire mountain. Really enjoyed waking up and eating breakfast while overlooking the mountain. The house itself was quite comfortable. We could have fit more people if we had them. Hot tub was first class and piping hot. Didn't get to use the grill or outdoor porch much as we were buried with 17" inches of snow our first night. Highly recommended.

Magical Christmas ski vacation

My family and I spent a wonderful vacation at this lovely home over Christmas week. The home is well appointed and Barry was available to us for any needs or questions. Recommendations for dining were very helpful. The home is literally perfect for a big family. The neighborhood is beautiful and there is a lovely view of the slopes from the home. The hot tub is perfect and has a heated walkway. The home is stocked with board games and cards and throw blankets to use while you cozy up by the fire. It’s a quick 5 min drive to the lifts and plenty of shopping and grocery stores near the house. Such a perfect home and perfect location! We would definitely book it again!

Great Mountain Home for large group!

We had a group of 9 - 2 families that stayed early January. The house fit our group perfectly. The views of the mountain from the living room were incredible. The hot tub was a super nice perk after long day of skiing- also with awesome views. We had a little fox that came up to the porch daily. Only a few things I would note that people should know before they rent. 1. There are quite a few stairs so if you had older folks or really young kids it might not be ideal. 2. The washer dryer is in the garage and no entry into the house from garage. Not a huge deal, but less than ideal when doing laundry in the cold snowy weather. 3. I would make sure you have 4wd to stay in this neighborhood in the winter, and listen to the owners directions of NOT backing down the driveway. (Turn around and go out foward). Otherwise the owner Barry was very helpful and acommodating anytime we had questions and with lots of reccs!!

Problems

The house was not cleaned well. The pictures show an outside table and chairs and there were only two chairs. The house needs a lot of maintenance. Shower in the master is very low pressure. The outside deck had nails sticking up that we hammered down. Some of the ceilings fans were so noisy that you could not use them at night. We had to call to get the hot tub working. Some of the mattresses should be replaced. The house was for sale and right before we came (after paying) they told us there would be real estate showings. That might have been ok if we got notice and could schedule a convenient time but we did not get notice. On the bright side, the view from the main room is beautiful but we really needed outside furniture. And the house is spacious.

We were very surprised and disappointed to learn that this guest had an unpleasant visit with us. We do our best to make sure all of our guests have an excellent stay in our home. She did not communicate these issues to us during her stay, so unfortunately, we were not able to take action to address the problems. We have used the same cleaning and maintenance crews for years and we have never had a complaint. If we had known something was missed, we could have easily sent someone in to take care of it. This review is the first notice we received of these issues, which is very unfortunate. We have asked our crews to be certain to check things thoroughly in the future. The hot tub was just the breaker. A quick switch and all was well. This is the only issue she notified us about and we responded immediately. Finally as far as the real estate showings, we did have one problem with an agent bringing someone by without notifying us (so that we could have notified the guest). The situation certainly caught us off guard as well. We spoke to them to insure it would not happen again. This guest was able to send the agent away at the door without them ever coming inside. We are not looking to sell the home, we are only looking for an investor to share in the pleasure of having such a beautiful rental property to enjoy.

Lots of Space, Easy access to the slopes!

We are three families with kids that share the house which it accommodates with no problems. Plenty of space for everyone to spread out, yet a nice open Kitchen/Dining/Living room area to socialize. This is our 2nd time staying here and the owners are very responsive if you need anything. Without a doubt, we'd stay here again. I'd give it 4.5 stars if it would let me. Specific to the house, nice place with many updated parts but a few areas could use a little attention. The bottom bedroom off the front entrance is showing it's age along with the shower area. Hot tub is very clean and awesome to use after a full day on the slopes. Which brings us to getting to the slopes. Very easy as it's a straight after out of the neighborhood and just a few miles away to the free parking lot with bus shuttle. Very easy to get to and use. Only slight negative is the "winter maintenance" aspect. Hot tub area and deck (snow almost to the top of the handrails) had not been shoveled in quite some time. This was addressed promptly after the phone call. Also, the driveway was pretty packed down with snow which we'd recommend 4wd for sure in the winter. While the kind of storm you dream of happened the first 24 hours of our stay (24" of new snow!) and packed down already, we managed to get our 4wd's stuck a few times. Watch out for the extra space/parking area on the left of the driveway. With the slope of it, a Silverado 1500 met it's match! Eventually got it out, but took a bit. Last, the gas grill was not accessible in the event you planned to use it in the winter. Buried in snow next to the hot tub. Thanks for sharing your home with us Barry! -CO based families

A wonderful ski home for our extended family vacation!

We’ve come to Steamboat for decades and this property rates now as one of our favorite places. We love Tree Haus location. But a car is required. Important things note: Angela was wonderful to communicate with and extremely responsive. We had plenty of amazing snow and the driveway was cleared promptly to get out to the slopes! Definitely need the 4 wheel drive in winter. Nice layout for family and very well maintained! The views and the private hot tub overlooking the mountain priceless. Highly recommend!

Overall Opinion

Really good place and you could easily have multiple small families. The view of the mountain range is way better than it shows in the photos. Great neighborhood for walking as well. Close enough to downtown Steamboat without the noise. Just a perfect location.

Spectacular

I'm tempted to leave a negative review just so that the calendar doesn't fill up--we'll definitely be back. But the truth is that this home is spectacular. The views are magnificent. There is plenty of room for lounging inside and out, including a cozy hot tub with a killer view. Like I said, we plan to be repeat customers.

Awesome Ski Vacation

Our family had so much fun during our stay at this property. The house is great and is in an excellent and convenient location to town and the ski resort. The big windows in the living room give you a beautiful view of the ski resort too. We have so many pretty pictures. The hot tub was perfect after a day of skiing and they have a little heated pad walkway from the back door to the hot tub which is really nice. The bedrooms were all very nice and clean as well. The yard is sloped on the side which is perfect for kids to sled down. The owner was responsive and texted to make sure everything was going well for us. We really enjoyed our stay and will consider this property again for our next Steamboat vacation!

We stayed at this property between Christmas and New Years as a large family gathering. The property is wonderful! Waking up to the view of Steamboat never got old. We had plenty of space to gather for a meal together as a group of 9, but also had enough space to enjoy time away from the group. The owner was always available to answer questions, and provided good recommendations for local businesses. We prepared most meals in the house, as it was well equipped. The location is ideal for staying at Steamboat. My family has already asked about returning to this fantastic place!

Lovely Summer Setting

We enjoyed our 4 night Tree Haus stay! The patio was a favorite as well as the hot tub. Nature high point, we had a large moose travel through the yard one lazy afternoon. Angela, the manager, was attentive and responsive. We especially enjoyed the quiet of the neighborhood, tranquility reigns here!
