Welcome to Jack's Lake Place, our family's mountain home 300 yards from Lake Granby and 10 minutes from downtown Grand Lake. A recently renovated 5-bedroom home across three levels, sleeping 15, with a new kitchen and bathrooms, a second full kitchen downstairs, a 450 sq ft deck, and two lake-view balconies. Parking for boats, trailers, and RVs, and Rocky Mountain National Park just up the road. Summer boating, fall aspens, winter snowmobiling: Grand Lake in every season.
The Space:
Main level: an open living room with a 65" TV, a dining area, the full kitchen, and a half bath, opening onto the deck.
Upper level: the Master bedroom with a Queen bed and private ensuite, a second Queen bedroom, a Twin bedroom with two twin beds, and a full bathroom.
Lower level: a ground-level Studio (an attached, converted garage with step-free access for guests of any age or mobility) with a Queen Murphy bed, a pullout couch, and its own full kitchen; a Bunk Room with two bunk beds and a double; a laundry room; and a full bathroom with a deep soaking tub and separate shower.
For little ones there's a high chair, a pack and play, room-darkening shades, and children's books and toys. Outside you'll find a Weber gas grill and a propane fire pit. Guests have the entire home.
The Location
A quiet neighborhood of year-round residents, peaceful and private but minutes from everything:
- Lake Granby beach by the house: about 300 yards
- Beacon Landing Marina (boat rentals, Lake Granby access): under 5 minutes
- Downtown Grand Lake and the town beach: about 10 minutes
- Rocky Mountain National Park, west entrance: about 12 minutes
- Granby: about 16 minutes
- Ski Granby Ranch: about 25 minutes
- Winter Park: about 45 minutes
- Denver International Airport: about 2 hours 10 minutes
Fall brings the elk rut and golden aspens. Winter makes Grand Lake the Snowmobile Capital of Colorado, with 130+ miles of trails and sledding from town. At 8,300 feet the evenings stay cool even in summer, so bring a few layers.
Getting Here
You'll need a vehicle, and the driveway entrance sits on a steep hill. In summer any vehicle is fine, but mud or heavy snow calls for 4WD, so we recommend a 4WD or AWD vehicle with good tires in the non-summer months. The road and driveways are plowed after large snowfalls.
Good to Know
This is a family neighborhood, not a party house. Please respect quiet hours and the 15-guest maximum. No pets, and no smoking anywhere on the property.
