Escape-101 @ The 101, which sleeps up to 8 ppl, is a multi-faceted destination location with a curriculum designed to deliver the essence of fun and or relaxation.
3+ miles of designated trails for YEAR-ROUND mountain biking trails (when possible), XC skiing, horseback riding, snowshoeing, fishing, hiking, swimming, sledding, and other activities catering to the desires of serious outdoor enthusiasts who want to play hard... or relax harder, lost in dreams, whilst gazing up at Mt Kearsarge and Winslow St Park... BONFIRES!!!!!!

House...
The house, which sleeps 8, consists of two main bedrooms with queen beds, the Master having a private bathroom. The Guest Room with Queen, & Bunk Room (with two Full beds can accommodate up to four others), share the second Full Bath.
A large open main entertaining area is made up of the Lounge and Billiards area.
The kitchen, BUILT FOR THOSE WHO COOK, is separated from the Billiards room by an ample Dining area.
A large patio looks over the Hollywood Bowl, newly renovated spring fed MicroLake, the Bowl Trails, and gives you about the most spectacular view of Mt Kearsarge POSSIBLE... it's tough to leave it.

The outside is a WHOLE 'nother deal!!!
The 101 is a 101 acre farm located directly across the street from Winslow State Park, N Sutton NH. 10 minutes from New London, 10 Min from the N access trail to Mt Kearsarge, 20 Min from Lake Sunapee, 30 min to Mt Sunapee, and Ragged Mtn, 30 Min from White Water rafting / kayaking / surfing in Franklin, and mere minutes from enough fly fishing (& spinner) to shake dozens of sticks at, OR access to snowmobile trails that can send you to Vancouver (seriously)... the possibilities are endless. There are also a half-dozen or so local town trails within a 5 min drive that are great for exploration... & KIDS!

Guest access...
The ENTIRE property is yours for exploration on foot or wheel... rules for safety MUST be agreed to upon check-in.
The Paaaty Baaan (shared machinery barn), is available for bike repairs and indoor Bocce when the weather is not cooperative.

A full-size Equestrian ring is also available, with stables in future plans, and a large enough paddock to accommodate up to 4 horses. Guests are welcome to board horses in their vans in the meantime.

Other barns are available for guest vehicle and machine storage, or OFF LIMITS without permission please.

Escape 101 is a multi-activity, all inclusive rental. We welcome and encourage you to come explore and have as much fun as you possibly can, within reason, and with respect, for The 101 and our neighbors.
If you want to do other activities, JUST ASK!!!

I MAY also be available for a full concierge service that can include... cooking meals, extra cleaning, shopping, transportation, tours... you ask, and I'll try my best to make it happen.

The ENTIRE property is available for use. However, ALL structures other than the Paaaaty Barn and equestrian area are OFF LIMITS for insurance reasons

ALL guest will be required to sign an Insurance Release due to the nature of the activities offered. We want fun to be safe... NO SIGN, NO STAY!!!

Lovely Winter Weekend

Charming 3-bedroom house near Sunapee and Ragged Mtns. Well-equipped kitchen, wonderful views, very comfortable stay. Owner was very kind and communicative. We would definitely return. The 101 would be even better with snow, so we’ll have to come back!

Your own hidden playground in the Mountains

When booking a vacation and wanting to have a true family togetherness experience, with all the privacy you could wish for, and views to just completely ease your mind, body and soul, then The 101 is a place like no other! Beginning with the clear, friendly and expert communication from Alessandro, of everything that we needed to know about our stay, amenities offered and ease of process. The house is absolutely beautiful, with a totally open concept, perfect for family time and togetherness! Open kitchen for family style meals, pool table and extremely comfortable lounge living area with wood burning fireplace and views across the mountains right from the back windows, you will enjoy the ambiance in any season. The surrounding land is like your own playground of anything you wish to do (with respect to the property of course) . From trail riding (mtb, atv, sxs) to walks in the woods, the outdoors definitely has it all. Along with the “Paaaty Baaahn” for indoor bocce, big screen tv and just hangin out doin garage stuff. With the proximity to all the Sunapee region has to offer and Alessandro’s continued vision for the property, The 101 should be on everyone’s list for places to say in the Sunapee area! We will MOST DEFINITELY be back!!!

The 101

We stayed at this property for our annual fishing trip with a group of around 8 guys and had an amazing time. We have been coming up to NH on Columbus Day Weekend for over 20 years now, and everyone on the trip this year said that this was their favorite property we have ever stayed at. The scenery is beautiful and there is a ton to do right on the 100 acre farm. We brought up 2 quads and 2 dirt bikes. The owner met with us upon arrival to show us around the property and introduce us to the trail system he has created. Alessandro,the host, takes great pride in his land and works hard to maintain and up keep. He has created several miles of cleared trails throughout the property. He has done a nice job to keep them cleared/mowed as well has marked with orange stakes. The house is beautiful and shows just like the pictures represent. The master bedroom/bath is on the left side of the house while the other 2 bedrooms are on the right side with the kitchen/living room in the middle. The kitchen is well stocked and has everything you would need. The billiards table was an awesome bonus as we got a good amount of use out of it at night or on a rainy day. The half mile woods trail was probably our favorite path. The property is within walking distance of a golf course and has fishing near by as well. This listing is a great value and is hard to beat! Book now before the secret gets out!

Having spent my entire life, on and off in New England, I like to think that I've come home, with the purchase of The 101. Growing up in Virginia and the Italian Veneto, I have Tavel in my blood and now have the opportunity to share with others what makes me happy.
I've been a part of the restaurant industry since I was 14 , owned restaurants, and worked in a few hotels, so the hospitality industry is very familiar to me. Besides being a guest at every type of establishment conceivable, my love of travel and knowledge of the environment, has given me a VERY clear understanding of what makes people happy... fun and relaxation... THE ESCAPE!
I want you to enjoy The 101 as I do, and for you to see and feel like I do when here. Experience the formula.

Located smack in the middle of NH, The 101 was a former cattle farm that was ideal for my vision. An hour and a half from Boston, 2 hr from Providence, 2.5 from Hartford, and 4.5 from NYC, makes this location an ideal getaway.

There is nothing quite like The 101, at least in this area. Many houses on lakes for astronomical prices and run-of-the-mill suburban residences with neighbors on top of you, are plenty available locally, but NONE give you a FULL 101 acres on which to lose yourself from the daily grind, with virtually limitless activities and the ability to simply do nothing whilst lounging on the Lanai or soaking your feet in the Spring-fed MicroLake.
