Spring Break

Loved the condo…exactly like the pictures in the listing! Kitchen was well stocked, location was very convenient to many amenities, and property was very well cared for. I did have an issue with the door code upon arrival but V Trips fixed right away. The master en suite was missing bath towels but fortunately there were two in the second bath. The cleaning fee was quite high though…

Enjoyable Stay

Was very comfortable and had a fully stocked kitchen. We prepared many meals with ease. Close to the pool and cook out area.

Condo needs improvement

We enjoyed the condo but the furniture needs a serious upgrade. The couch is too old and smelly a d the beds too small for only have 2 beds in the condo. Also I had to contact the management company few times to get all the detailed checking information, codes, addresses etc.

Comfortable stay!

We loved this place! Beds were comfy, there was plenty of seating, and the kitchen was well stocked! They even have Tupperware, which most rentals do not. We loved walking to the beach and my daughter loved the heated pool. We appreciated the boogie board, beach chairs and beach umbrella! It was approx 20 minute drive (with traffic) to historic St. Augustine. The only suggestion I have is more hooks or places to dry towels and/or bathing suits.

Peaceful Community

The condo was located in a quiet community about 10 minutes away from "downtown" St. Augustine, which we appreciated. We were only a short drive from everything we wanted to see. The condo was well equipped and clean. Our only complaint would be that the sectional sofa seemed worn and a little broken down and not very comfy. We really enjoyed our stay!

First Vacation to Saint Augustine Area

We enjoyed staying at this property for our vacation. The unit was nicely arranged and included all the amenities needed for a family of 4. The walk to the beach was not too far, but would suggest bringing a wagon along to tote supplies. The app was nice for check in/out information as well as suggestions for dining and attractions. We loved that the area was not overly commercialized with high rises and tshirt shops. We would recommend the unit/complex to future travelers.

Very nice condo close to beach

This condo was very comfortable and we really liked that it was just a few minute walk to the beach. Though the information for the condo stated no beach chairs etc., there were two beach chairs and a cooler, no beach umbrella however. I'm guessing these items may have been left from previous people staying at the condo. There are few things that needed some attention. First, there was a bowl of black beans left in the microwave. I would think if the cleaners were cleaning the microwave they would have noticed this. Next there were only two dishwasher pods left for us to use. We were there a week and one of the main reasons we do VRBO's is so we can cook and not eat out so much. There was no way two pods was going to get us thru the week. Also there was no dish soap left for us to use either. There were only two coffee cups in the cabinets. I'm not sure what a person would do if there were more than two people staying and who wanted to drink coffee in the morning. I did call the management company and they did provide us more dishwasher pods, dish soap and two more coffee cups. A few recommendations are to update the large sectional. It is a bit dated and worn but was still comfortable. Also, some shelving in the second bathroom to set your things on would be nice. Both bathrooms could use more towel bars or hooks. There isn't anyplace to hang more than one towel/wash cloth. Otherwise this was a nice condo in a nice safe location. Check in and check out was super easy!

Great spot

Location was great! Condo layout was perfect for our family. The pools and private boardwalk access to beach was great as well. The only issue we had was the microwave went out on us on the last night of our trip. :( But besides that, all was well.

Great place for the money

Wish we could have been on the beach but for the price I couldn’t turn it down. The walk to the beach took about 7 minutes, which wasn’t bad at all. Room was clean, comfortable and met our needs.

Cheerful and Comfortable

We really enjoyed our stay at this condominium. The owners’ love of the color red gave the interior design personality and flair! We were very comfortable and would definitely stay here again. Two nice bedrooms and a very comfortable, huge sectional couch. Beautiful dunes and beach a short walk away.

DO NOT RENT

The only reason this review is even getting two stars is because we enjoyed the Ocean Village Club as a whole. It was peaceful, quiet, pools were great, boardwalk to beach was beautiful. We would stay here again but absolutely not with these owners. This condo itself gets 1 star, and if I could go lower I would. We arrived on Saturday with our 4 children, and immediately threw a load of clothes into the wash as it took us a couple days to get down to FL. We pulled them out and they smelt like a wet dog. We proceeded to put them in the dryer, and went to bed. The next morning they were still soaked, still smelt atrocious, and we realized there were black grease spots all over the entire load of clothes. Immediately we called maintenance, and were told they wouldn't be able to do anything until Monday (business days). We totally understood this, and were patient. They never called Monday until my husband called THEM around lunchtime. They then went on to say no one could get out until around 3pm. To make a long story short, this continued the ENTIRE week. "Oh the replacement W/D will be in tomorrow... oh Thursday... Oh I'm sorry not until Saturday." Never did they offer to put us up in a different unit when they learned it would be several days before we got a new W/D in (we asked!). They offered to compensate dry cleaning. Great. Dry cleaning... So now, on our vacation (a time to relax and spend down time with our family) we had to run back and forth dealing with dry cleaning. We spent the whole week with dirty beach towels and unwashed bathing suits because we couldn't take those to dry cleaning, due to the fact that we needed them every day! After the entire week with an unresolved issue, my husband went on to file a formal complaint with Vacation Rental Pros (who this condo rents through). We were offered $100 to compensate for the inconvenience. My husband called, and was told it would be $100 + the dry cleaning fees. When he emailed the receipts, they went back on their word and said $100 was the max they could compensate. Ok, $100 does not even begin to cover the dry cleaning we paid plus the ruined clothes, let alone the hassle this was on what was supposed to be our relaxing vacation. This whole debauchel is still unresolved. We were going to wait to see how it all turned out before writing this review. But they way we've been strung along for weeks now is absolutely ridiculous and unacceptable. Take my advice and keep searching.

We truly enjoyed our stay...private beach access, pool and especially the condo

We enjoyed our week in St. Augustine. Ease of registering, getting keys and finding property were great. The condo was clean and had plenty of towels, dishes, blankets for everyone. We loved the private access to the beach. The heated pool was very nice. Only suggestion would be to clean carpets in bedrooms. We will definitely be back!!

Beautiful Condo!

This condo was absolutely wonderful! Very clean, master bedroom and bath were exquisite , both clean and comfortable. The modern decor was a refreshing change from the typical beach decor, decorating in the rest of the unit was very well done and we enjoyed the beach and scenery as well! We will definitely rent this unit again in the near future!

The condo was absolutely beautiful!!

This is the 2nd time staying here!! Both times we have been completely satisfied!! The only complaint I have is the swimming pool water was too hot!! When we stay again we will probably stay closer to the beach!!

Ocean Village Club is a great location. The condo was well laid out and a good size however the general condition of the doors, windows, blinds and furniture was barely okay. Would not rent this unit again, especially at the price charged.

Thanksgiving getaway.

Very enjoyable. Wish it was warmer but that's Mother Nature. We didn't let her ruin our stay. Would I stay there again,, yes! They only thing i found was missing in the unit was a cookie sheet.

All the comforts of home

We loved the condo! The beds were comfortable, I loved the lanai and how close we were to the heated pool. Everything is so close! The beach was amazing and I enjoyed the walk from the condo, not far at all. We chose to drive on beach most of our stay simply because my husband loves to drive on the beach. Perfect vacation and very affordable!
