Welcome to Sweet Water, 2 bed 2 bath log cabin 10 minutes from Glacier Park!

Located just 12 miles from West Glacier! Featuring breathtaking views of the MIddle Fork of the Flathead River, this adorable 1000 sq. ft. log cabin with 2 bedrooms and 2 full bathrooms will surely be the place you want to call home when visiting Glacier National Park or other top destinations in the Flathead Valley. The cabin was built by the Amish just a few years ago and is very well stocked and clean. You will enjoy the views and quiet ambience from the covered front porch and yard complete with a fire pit and picnic table.

The driveway to the home is fairly steep and windy, you will want a car with FWD or AWD during the summer and 4WD required November - April. There is a steep bank down to the river so views are amazing but no direct access to get to the water from here, several public access parking and beaches are located within a mile. Please be mindful of the steep bank if traveling with children. Please no fires in the inside fireplace, there is a mini split heating unit that provides both heat and air conditioning. You are welcome to use the outdoor fire pit as long as there are no fire restrictions in place, see details in the guidebook.

We called this lovely cabin our home base! It’s a wonderful place to relax after a long day of exploring the beautiful Glacier area. The stream, mountain views, eagles flying along the river, cool mornings were some of our favorite things. The cabin was comfortable and had all we needed for a comfortable stay.

Beautiful Cabin in Stunning Location

We loved everything about our experience. There was helpful and friendly support, a good arrival & departure process, and a terrific view of the river. The porch was fantastic, rain or shine. It's a good idea to have a car with all wheel drive. Check out the Btash Family Rodeo on Thura

Close to West Glacier

GREAT LOCATION

Our stay was wonderful! A few improvements such as a tankless hot water heater (we ran out of hot water for showers every night),an a/c upstairs (it was warm) and a better mattress for the downstairs bedroom, would have made a wonderful stay even better. Despite my high maintenance request, I recommend this lovely cabin. GREAT LOCATION!

Beautiful cabin with stunning view

Well kept and very clean! the cabin was beautiful and cozy, the hostess did a wonderful job at keeping the place well stocked with useful kitchen utensils and basic household items, Our family really enjoyed there stay and would definitely stay here again!

Home away from Home

The cabin was spotless. It had every thing we needed to make ourselves very comfortable. The location was great. The views and sound of the river from the front porch was very calming. Although it was secluded it was very close to the entrance of Glacier National Park which we visited ever day. I highly this cabin

One of the Best VRBO’s we’ve stayed in

Wonderful house and location. Great view of the river. At night only hear the river and occasional train. Clean with comfortable beds and furniture. Only things missing would be a teapot for boiling water and one or two comfortable chairs in living room.

Great place near Glacier NP!

This property was a great stay outside of Glacier! The only thing that would’ve made out stay better was receiving the welcome link earlier instead of our check in date. It would’ve been nice to go over this information prior to visiting, but we made it work! The cabin was well equipped and had everything we needed for our stay, it was a great place to unwind after visiting the park! Our kids loved it!

Hi Laura, thanks for staying and for leaving a review! The welcome guidebook gets emailed to you the day you book and again the day before arrival. I checked the system to make sure your email was sent to you (because sometimes there's a tech glitch) and it was. Sometimes it gets lost in a spam filter but I'm trying to touch base with every guest to make sure they have received it prior to arrival. Family fun

WOW!! This place is amazing. Clean, beautiful, comfortable home with a million dollar view. This get away more than met our expectations. I would come back here over and over again.

Did not appear as big as the pictures showed however the place was very adequate. Thalia did not have adequate lighting for reading since we did not have much tv to look at. But cabin was in perfect location

Wonderful house and property. Overlooks the Middle Fork Flat Head river but the water is really not accessible as the owner states. Log cabin build is impressive and property well taken care, great communication. Really could not have asked for a better spot to stay while in the area. The driveway is an adventure in itself!

Perfect location

This is a true to form long cabin, situated in hungry horse, which is about halfway between the airport and the West entrance for glacier national. You are 15-20 min from park e trance. It’s not so far out there that it is impossible to get cell signal, or find groceries, but it’s isolated enough that you feel great peace, particularly with the river close by. The property is very well kept, everything worked as advertised. Seemed very new and well maintained. Great Vrbo. We brought an extra air mattress for our second kid to sleep upstairs, which there was enough room for a twin. Honestly, the perfect homebase for sleeping, cooking, and hanging out between days of hiking.Five stars. We will be back.
