Welcome to “Gem of the Ocean”! Martha’s Vineyard vacationers dream! This beautiful condo with private balcony and spectacular ocean views is within walking distance to everywhere in downtown Oak Bluffs and a front row seat to all the activity and attractions around Ocean Park: Inkwell Beach, Circuit Avenue, Linda Jeans, Flying Horses, Carousel, OB ferry and harbor, Campground Cottages, Tabernacle, Illumination, shops, restaurants and more! No car needed.

Beautiful second floor 2 BR/1 BA condo sleeps up to 4 guests. The master bedroom has a king bed. The second bedroom has full and twin beds, The bathroom has a tub and shower combo, new vanity and chair height toilet. Amazing location with spectacular views!

Located in an historical building, you’ll enjoy this bright and airy space, with views of the ocean and Ocean Park from the private master bedroom balcony. New 50” flatscreen smart TV where you can stream your favorite shows and movies. FREE Wi-Fi with 300 Mbps download speed and upload speeds from up to 5 Mbps to up to 10 Mbps. Ample capacity for streaming, gaming, or remote working.

The well-equipped kitchen is a great place to let your creative juices flow preparing meals with island fresh ingredients, or enjoy a plated meal of your favorite island take-out. Enjoy morning coffee on the balcony using your own K-cups or filter brewed coffee.

The dining area seats 4 for meals, yet is also perfect for games, and remote working. Beautiful outdoor space where you can relax and people watch or enjoy a picnic style meal.

Each room has state-of-the-art LG minisplit air conditioning and a ceiling fan with light, which keep the unit cool in the summer and warm in the winter. All linen and bath towels are provided. Enjoy quintessential island living in a peaceful setting!

Great stay

Everything about the property was great. Check in process, communication, and location is perfect.. The only criticism I have is the AC is insufficient for the unit.

Couldn’t ask for a better experience!

Hands down, the best experience we have had in Martha’s Vineyard in almost 20 years of being summer renters-from the amazing location to the beautiful apartment with every amenity imaginable to the responsive hosts. We would love the opportunity to repeat this experience!

Great location, originally booked for 2pp, ended up with 4pp, which was a little tight for the space. Minor issues with thermostat and broken towel rack. Would definitely rebook if i come back with 2pp.

Perfect stay!

Our one week stay at Laura's property was absolutely perfect! As the listing states, we didn't need a car to get to anything on Oak Bluffs and the property itself was exactly what we needed. We will definitely consider booking this property again next year when we return to Martha's Vineyard!

Perfect Location

Gem of the Ocean was a perfect place to enjoy our anniversary. Walkable to most everything, great luxurious towels, along with amazingly comfortable pillows and bed made this a wonderful getaway! Our host responded almost immediately to the few questions that came up. Would definitely recommend!

You can not beat this location. You wake each day to the most beautiful sunrises and can walk to everything. It's the perfect space for a small family or group of 4. The balconies were a lovely way to enjoy the views and excellent people watching. The host is gracious and responsive. Summer breeze made no AC not an issue on most days. All of the neighbors are friendly and while you don't need a car, parking is available if needed. We rented a car for a day to see the entire island and it was great to not have to worry about parking. A totally delightful first time experience.

Summer Renters…

My family and I travel to Martha’s Vineyard every summer, my husband and I were married at the Winnetu near South Beach. After many hotel, condo and house rentals year after year, by far this was the most convenient, most comfortable and most scenic stay we’ve ever had. This condo is perfect for a family or group of four. Spacious, clean, cool AC and comfortable beds and couch! The kitchen is well equipped and the washer/dryer were ideal! The views, balconies, in-town location and picturesque view of Ocean Park is more than worth the booking! The first morning, we awoke to the most stunning sunrise you’ve ever seen! Thank you so much for an incredible stay, we look forward to many more bookings with you!!

We had a fantastic stay at the Gem of the Ocean! You couldn’t ask for a better location: walkable to pretty much everything in OB, very close to the bus if visiting other towns, and amazing views. The unit itself is quite spacious, particularly the master. We were two adults and two teenagers and had enough space for a week. Kitchen are bathroom are fine, nothing fancy but no problems. We lucked out on weather so didn’t need a/c in the master. And while there are ample fans, I could see it being hot if the temperature got really high. All in all, count yourself lucky if you get to stay here. We hope to be back ourselves!

What a lovely gem of a place this unit was. From the moment you entered and to your right was the most picturesque view of the sea. The unit was light and not too much furniture. A lamp/reading light would be sufficient for evening reading. Although the King bed was spacious we found it on the squishy side. Perhaps a firmer mattress might suffice. The kitchen was a joy to cook in. Everything was there we needed for some delicious meals. Would definitely consider returning back to this unit.

Perfect location, but HOT in the Summer!

PROS: There's not a better location in Oak Bluffs. You can walk to everything, there's parking, and the views of the park are wonderful. The beds are really comfy, with great mattresses and soft sheets. The baclonies have good furniture and great views. The owner provides excellent and prompt communication and she genuinely carres about the quality of your stay. CONS: The air conditioning is simply not adequate for the unit. The condo is warmer than the outside temps. The lowest we could get the unit on a hot July day was 81 degrees in the main area and 83 degrees in the bedrooms. NOTE: The owner apologized for the AC and stated that she is trying to get central AC in the unit. In the meantime, however, there needs to be more portable floor units - one for each bedroom.

We always value guest feedback, especially when it follows positive communication during the stay. After the guest expressed concerns about temperature, we offered to move them to an alternate home with enhanced cooling, in a beautiful location on the island, which was declined. We also extended a gift certificate to a favorite local ice cream shop in Circuit Ave as a goodwill gesture in response to their concern, which was warmly received. The weather during that time was mild, and the A/C units have kept the home comfortable throughout the summer. Our guests consistently love the home’s comfort, location, and thoughtful touches—even during peak season. While individual experiences can vary, we remain committed to ongoing upgrades, including scheduled installation for central A/C this fall, and take pride in offering a welcoming, well-maintained stay in the heart of Oak Bluffs.
