Perfect Beach Location!

This was my second stay here and it was perfect. The kids love the pool and it is such a close walk down the boardwalk to the beach. Will book again!

Anniversary getaway.

The condo was clean and had wonderful access to the beach. The pool area was nice. The location was close (10 min or less) drive to touristy destinations. Parking was a plus. The condo was updated nicely in an older building. Our only issue was very uncomfortable beds. It was a great stay.

Thank you for the review! We hate we didn't receive a 5 star review because of uncomfortable mattresses, but we do understand that is a personal preference. As such, the king mattress in the primary bedroom was replaced less than a month ago. The queen mattress in the secondary bedroom is not that old to where it should be replaced, but we’ll certainly look into it. We are pleased you were happy with the accommodations otherwise. Thank you for allowing Sand Dollar Vacation Rentals to provide your accommodations on lovely Amelia Island. Come back soon!

Blown breaker.

I pushed start on the microwave and a breaker blew. The microwave, TVs, and various light stopped working.

I wish you had shared this information with us during your stay as we had no knowledge. The only reason we learned of this was the cleaning technician told us the microwave was no longer working. We have since replaced the microwave due for delivery tomorrow. We had no idea. Had we known when it happened, we would have immediately replaced the microwave.

On the first night of our four day stay, we had to wash quite a bit of dishes to be able to cook our dinner. Because it was around eleven o’clock at night, this was an inconvenience and completely unexpected after our drive from Georgia. The large and small frying pans, multiple glasses, and pieces of silverware had to be washed first. As a precaution, we washed all the dishes before we cooked or used any of them for the remainder of our stay. The master king size bed was very hard and uncomfortable. We were on the ground floor. Throughout the day, it sounded like the guests above us were stomping. This went on throughout most of our stay. The master shower was hot and relaxing. Our son enjoyed eating on the balcony in the morning and evening. We loved the short walk to and from the beach. This was the main attraction for our family. The pool was clean and private. The location was convenient. Even with the dirty dishes and the uncomfortable master bed, our family would stay here again, but we would reserve a room on the third floor to hopefully cut down on the noise level from the other guests. I would absolutely bring a mattress topper for the master bed.

The room I stayed in definitely needs some work done. When I first walked through the door the floor had a very weak area that felt like it could give way anytime. The dishes were not very clean. Any dish that I used I had to wash beforehand. In the master bath, mold was on the ceiling making its way down the wall. That was something I was concerned about sleeping next to honestly. And then in the second bedroom you heard everything outside of the window as well noises coming from the closet from the water heater I assume. So the first nights sleep was horrible. Luckily there was a fan in the closet we used to block out some of the noise. The beds were not very cozy or comfortable. The pictures listed definitely look better than the place actually is. The location is great though. I loved that it was on the beach. We spent a lot of our time on the beach so that to me compensated for the lack of luster of the room. The mold issue needs to be addressed though. For the money I spent on this room, I shouldn’t have had to deal with any of these issues. But like I said the location of the place compensated for the rooms lack of luster.
