Welcome to The Friday Escape!
Enjoy open acres including ponds and a nature path through the woods, sprawling with wildlife and some of the elk herds’ favorite grazing fields. A perfect retreat in the heart of Benezette.
You will find local attractions within a few miles. Spend the day exploring or relaxing by the fire pit. The house comes with all of the amenities for cooking, but if a sunset glass of wine or a heated game of shuffleboard sounds good, this is the place for you!
Addition of a spacious patio added in January 2024 with access from sliding doors in the living room. Recent addition of 6 person hot tub. Summer additions to patio will include a 20 x 25 ft area under roof, grilling and dining area, cornhole and lounging furniture.

Main lookout on Winslow Hill - 1.5 miles away

The home was as nice as it looks in the listing. The hot tub was great and the patio area was amazing. We hiked the trails on the property, and enjoyed the hot tub in the evening. Communication with the hosts was great. We hope to come back for a stay in the future.

We loved being at this cabin with all of its comforts and amenities. The hosts were very helpful and made sure our stay was special. It is in a wild and beautiful part of the state where exploring kept our interest for a week. We often came home early just to enjoy the patio with its firepit and hot tub. This is the way a VRBO is supposed to be.

This is definitely glamping. So nice and cozy. Hot tub and outdoor seating was enjoyed. We seen lots of wildlife during our stay. The owners were great at answering questions. Only thing we didn’t have any WiFi the whole stay. But figured we’re in mountains we would enjoy that.

What a lovely place to stay! This place is immaculate! When we ran into a little problem, Jeff and Brooke solved it very quickly. We actually saw a bull Elk right in our front lawn, which was a highlight! There were wild turkeys in the back yard! The back patio is very nice including the fire pit and hot tub! If we ever come back to this area we'll definitely check in here! Lots of good memories! Thanks Jeff and Brooke

A true home away from home, this house had it all. Clean, decor was on point and the rear patio was something out of a magazine! Hosts were eager to please and the view/acreage was awesome. Cant wait to come back.

Parents 60th Anniversary Trip

We wanted to celebrate our parents 60th anniversary by getting away from distractions. When we arrived the place was perfect! We had beautiful weather so we were able to enjoy the outdoor space. The layout of the home was perfect for 3 couples and the kitchen was well stocked so that we could prepare meals there. If wildlife is something you want to see - you will not be disappointed. There were deer and elk out front every day. The owners were in contact letting us know that they were close by if we needed anything at all. They were wonderful to work with. We will be back and have friends that are eager to check this property out. You cant go wrong staying here ! Thanks Jeffrey & Brooke for the opportunity to make these wonderful memories with our parents!

Perfect winter getaway

Cabin was absolutely perfect for 6 of us. The outdoor area was amazing even in the winter. Definitely enjoyed the hot tub and even got to see some elk. The cabin was spotless and had all the amenities. The host was very attentive and answered all our questions. Would definitely book again.

Friends enjoying a winter break in Benezette

We are 3 couples who are lifelong friends enjoying a a short winter vacation in beautiful Elk Country. The house was comfortable and met all our needs. The slow 6" snowfall added to the beauty of the area, and seeing 2 bulls in our front yard was the icing on the cake. Wouldn't change a thing, highly recommend this property.

Amazing stay in a serene location

My family of 5 stayed for a weekend at the cabin. We appreciated the complementary wine. Each bedroom had a place to store clothes and had very comfortable beds. The kitchen had all of the tools we needed to cook several of our meals (we can't eat out much due to a food allergy). The living room was welcoming and we enjoyed the Christmas' decorations. The back patio is amazing! If it wasn't for the sleet and freezing conditions, we would have spent a lot of time in the outside sitting area. One night, our host came over to make sure the walkway had salt down for the ice. We were able to enjoy the hot tub and gaze at the stars. A huge bonus was the hiking trail across the woods. It was a great way for us to safely burn off some energy. When we come back to view the Elk, this will be the first place we look to rent.
