Welcome to Gateway Cottage, an adorable home brought back to life and sitting pretty across from the water that leads out to Buzzards Bay. Semi-private beach area just steps away, with 3 kayaks for your stay. Enjoy your morning coffee or evening cocktails out on the large farmer’s porch facing the water.
Inside you will find a completely updated home with plenty of space for 6 guests.
The first level boasts a bedroom with king size bed, full bathroom with Bosch washer/dryer, pantry/storage area, and dry bar. The generous sized kitchen has been outfitted with new or newer appliances and sitting area. The spacious living and dining area has newly added dry bar with bevy fridge and all your bar necessities. Off the side door thru the kitchen you’ll fine outdoor dining with Weber grill and fire pit.
On the second floor you’ll find 2 more bedrooms, one with a queen bed and one with 2 twins, as well as a separate area and brand new bathroom. The play area has a foosball table, TV w/fire stick, puzzles and games.
Nice sized front and side yard with plenty of room for games. Must love dogs at this property because you will definitely be greeted by Lola, a spunky little Rat Terrier and her lovely human parents.
If you have a trailered boat under 25’, bring it along because Wareham Marina and boat ramp are right in the neighborhood! Yes, Buzzards Bay is accessible but with bridge restrictions, so message me with any questions.
Wareham is the “Gateway to the Cape” so there are lots of town and public beaches you’ll have access to! This home is centrally located, about a 7 minute drive to downtown Wareham and Wareham Crossing for shops and restaurants AND to quaint little Marion in the other direction. Plenty of walking trails, playgrounds, clam shacks and shopping close by. Or head to the Cape! You’ll be at the bridge in about 15-20 minutes. If historic Plymouth is more of an interest, that ride is about 20 minutes too.
You will love relaxing at this peaceful property, and if you have any specific needs, just ask! We will try our best to accommodate any requests.

Loved it!

It was a charming Cape-style home—perfect for our family of six, including four elders. They loved how clean and cozy everything was. Jen was responsive and helpful throughout our stay. I’d definitely stay here again if I get the chance!

The house was just as the pictures, cozy with the perfect hint of beachy vibes & the right amount of space. The porch was honestly my favorite and it’s perfect to start your morning with a cup of coffee and the sunrise. The neighbors were friendly and Jen was just absolutely amazing. Great family friendly cottage on the water

We had a great stay over the Thanksgiving holiday while visiting family in the area. The house was comfortable with plenty of amenities. The view was beautiful. Our kids loved all of the games and activities in the house. The owner was very responsive during our stay. Would definitely return.

Cute Rental Near Water

We enjoyed our stay for a wedding in the area. The house had everything we needed and provided a good place for our party to spend time. Our only complaint was that there were quite a few flies, which is not uncommon with the time of year and weather

Great House

Beautuiful home, great for family, girlfriends and small gathering. House is very clean, well lit and comfortable. Great location, close to beachese and activities. Would defintely stay here again and host (Jen) is wonderful, accommodating and very helpful to anything you need. Great experience.

Beautiful location and quiet friendly neighborhood

Right from the beginning Jen was extremely helpful and accommodating, upon arrival of the home the address was easy to locate, enter and was just a beautiful location and renovation. The neighbors were also so kind and polite as well. I look forward to making another trip and hope to book at this home again, it was just fantastic!

Perfect getaway

Our stay was absolutely perfect. This listing has everything in the description and more! Jen is an amazing host and truly made us feel at home. You can’t beat the location- minutes away from beaches and restaurants and to top it all off, the neighbors made us feel like a part of the neighborhood. We are already talking about booking again!

Excellence All Around!

This house was perfect for my family of four. We enjoyed staying in and playing upstairs, walking around the neighborhood and searching for tiny crabs on the small local beach area. Jen was super responsive and kind and set up the house perfectly for our stay. Highly recommend!

Cute cottage

The cottage was great. Guest passes for local town beaches were available. The owner was easy to reach. We love the way it was furnished and decorated. Did I mention a/c and washer/dryer set? Also sand toys, beach chairs and toddler legos for the kids!

Long Weekend Getaway

My friends and I took roadtrip up to Massachusetts for another friend’s wedding and we found this cute little house! Jennifer, the host, was very friendly and responsive to all messages. Check in was very easy and we found the house was very nice for the five of us. We loved sitting on the front porch rocking chairs to read and appreciated the extra stocking in the bathrooms in case we forgot something. The house is pretty much at the end of a road so it’s very quiet and you can see the water from the front porch. Thank you for a lovely stay! :)

Mom’s Birthday Vacation

We really enjoyed the Gateway Cottage! It was our Mom’s 91st birthday and we like to stay together. My mom lives nearby, great location, great restaurants. The property was neat, clean, great kitchen, a cute updated cottage very comfortable and welcoming. Sunrise on the porch, I think we spent most of our time out there, lots of coffee and catching up. Swans, heron,ducks-loved it. Very enjoyable few days. Thank you Jen! You made it all so easy.

AMAZING house on the Cape

This house was absolutely perfect. Completely remodeled and looks fantastic. Clean and spacious for any family or small group get together!! My family and I stayed for a family reunion in East Wareham and fell in love with this adorable home. Jen was quick to respond with any questions we had! Check in and out was easy. Gorgeous views of the water and only a short drive to town. Stayed in many rentals around the area and this was our favorite. Would recommend to anyone and looking forward to booking it next year!

Amazing!!!

We had such a lovely stay at Jen's Gateway Cottage. It was even better than the pics and her attention to detail was fantastic! There were snacks there waiting and plenty of extra things people may need, including beach/picnic gear! Great neighbors and even a sweet dog from next door popped over to say hi! We really felt right at home. Jen was easy to communicate with and check-in was so easy with the lock box. We can't wait to return!!!

I grew up in the next town over in Marion. I've always been interested in real estate and absolutely love where I'm from. So when this home presented itself, I jumped at the opportunity to renovate and bring it back to life. We love walking on the many local trails, kayaking in the waters or taking the boat out. When it's blueberry season, I love to go picking and make pies or muffins. Plymouth is also a favorite of ours in the summer with its great beaches and restaurants.
