A great getaway

A cozy but roomy place with just enough appliances to satisfy your needs on a short weekend getaway. The host was friendly and accommodating. I definitely would stay again .

Perfect place for a week

For a small group, you can’t beat the price for this location. It was a really nice Vrbo and the location was fine. The communication with the owner was very good as well. She was always checking in and making sure we need anything. Awesome stay.

Great place!!

Meka was great at responding to my messages.She was also very helpful with things to do and where to eat. We had a great time and would definitely come back if we are in the DC area.

Fantastic SE DC location!

This SE DC location was perfect! Close to everything! easily accessible from the major roads and highways! The property is beautiful and the Hosts were amazing! they were super accommodating and very helpful with suggesting and ideas about what to do around the city. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay!

Nice place with nice parking

Had to make a quick trip for business. I had a pickup truck and was worried about parking but really wanted to check out the cherry blossoms on the way this place worked out great. Host was very accommodating and helpful

unforgettable stay!

Me and my guests truly enjoyed this place. The house just fits so nice in the neighborhood. Walking to the house and getting in was quick and easy. Meka is amazing and was very attentive and we all just loved it. The decor is so cute and just thanks so much for accepting my booking definitely unforgettable moments happened<3

Wonderful Stay!

Meka is a perfect host and has a beautiful home! My husband and I truly enjoyed our stay. It is a one bedroom apartment with a kitchenette and the perfect size for the two of us. The couch can also turn into a bed if you need extra space. Meka and her husband were more than helpful with anything we needed. The decor is super cute and the home is in a nice neighborhood.

Convenient location for short stays

Jameka’s communication was super prompt. She was kind enough to allow for an early check in which was super helpful for us since we were traveling with 2 kids and a dog. The location is. 15-20 min ride to downtown, depending on traffic. Our stay was comfortable and hassle free

Perfect Hideaway

I truly enjoyed this apartment. Hostess communicated via email and checked to see if we were comfortable. Very hospitable and accommodating. Only suggestion is to put blackout shades in the bedroom to cut down on the sunlight to allow to sleep in and on theiving room and kitchen area for privacy. Thank you so very much for allowing my family to have a place to rest.

Great stay and experience

This apartment (basement converted to an apartment) was perfect for our weekend in DC. It's a kitchenette with an electric portable griddle - it worked for our short stay, but FYI if you're looking for a full kitchen. No exhaust either so just fyi on that - some of our cooking could have used an exhaust haha - You can hear everything from the house above so just fyi if you have kids/sound sleepers. Again, we had a great time. Our dog was restless with all the noise but he's just not used to it. Communication was so easy, stay was great, location was convenient (we mainly had to be at the national harbor - very easy quick commute) fridge was great for groceries. TVs are connected to WiFi so can stream content - overall great stay and great hosts!!!!!

Hi Chandni, Thank you for staying with us. We do make it a point to notify guests BEFORE they check-in that my husband and I live upstairs, this is our primary home. We also list a note in the check-in instructions that guest may hear footsteps. We encourage all guests to notify us of any issues they may have during their stay so we can accommodate them better. Overall stay

The owner of the property was friendly, easy to reach and communicated quickly. I was not completely happy with the kitchen and bathroom. Threre were some minor details that should have been seen prior to checking in but were missed. This was disappointing. However, I did communicate my concerns and they were handled, but unfortunately, I had already checked out and did not see the changes. Also, given the cost, I suggesred having some coffee available as this is something you'd expect to have in any overnight stay. I am a light sleeper and often heard the water running down the pipes due to the those living upstairs. The neighborhood was beautiful, it felt safe and there was easy access to public transportation, if needed. We asked for suggestions for dinner or take out in the evening and their suggestions were perfect.

Sylvia, Glad you enjoyed your stay. Please remember you are staying in someone’s basement apartment. This is not a hotel. We leave body wash and dish soap as a courtesy. The feedback you provided regarding the kitchen was the dish soap was not “entirely” full. The concern about the bathroom was again, the body wash was not “entirely” full to the top but there was plenty of product in there to utilize. The Coffee comment, our cleaner may have accidentally forgotten to restock the coffee. You never mentioned this to us DURING your stay while we were in full communication consistently every day. I would’ve gladly fixed this for you. As soon as you texted me your feedback, I personally went downstairs to address the things you listed. We hope you enjoyed DC and all the suggestions we were provided during your stay. - Hillcrest Hideaway
