Beware!! Now that I have your attention…the cabin is gorgeous. Clean, cozy, and comfortable. We enjoyed walking down to the pond. Convenient to downtown Hendersonville too. Great value and we would definitely stay here again!

We are indeed close to the interstate, only 2 and 1/2 miles making us easy to find and so convenient. We have such wonderful renters and so easy to please which we try hard to do.

The weather this fall has been perfect for nice getaways, beautiful colored leaves, reds, orange and yellows with our evergreen trees splashing their shades of green. We want our Cabin to be a relaxing stay and work hard to make it just that.

Wonderfully cosy cabin, exactly as described! Martha was there to welcome us when we arrived and kindly left us some goodies, including delicious homemade jelly. We had a fabulous stay, and the cabin was warm despite some very chilly weather!

The cabin was so comfortable and quiet. Being near the pond made mornings and evenings such a relaxing site. What really made it nice was the fact that there are 3 outstanding vineyards within 2 to 15 minutes. A huge grocery store 4 minutes down the road and still the cabin was peaceful. Check in was super easy and the folks running it are so very nice.

We are 2 and 1/2 miles from the interstate and are very easy to find and having wonderful renters to rent our Cabin is so easy to rent to. We love pleasing our renters and enjoy making their stay as comfortable as we can.

November Vacation

Cabin was very cozy,clean and peaceful, being right on the lake was great,the bed was comfortable, the views were great,the check in was easy,the proximity to everything was great,the only complaint we have is the internet didn't work for most of our stay so we couldn't even watch tv most times,aside from that everything was perfect.

Thanks Chris for letting us know about the issues you were having and so sorry. We were out of town during some of the time you were here with us and we found out later our Internet provider was having some issues in our community. Not sure what the issue was with the TV. Our TV comes from satellite and is not connected with the internet. I have since checked the TV and it is working. Hopefully next time everything will be working for you. Welcome to our hobby farm!

We have lived and worked on these 6 acres since 1992 and are quite a busy couple. Both of us have a farming background with a love of the soil and wood. Our hands can become quite dirty and messy as we raise a variety of fruits and vegetables for our own eating enjoyment. We work hard, eat healthy and sometimes forget to relax and play well. At time our baskets of produce are overflowing with plenty – enough to share.

Martha spends her time with cleaning and adding personal touches to the cabins, keeping the books for our different ventures and spending time with our grandchildren. We help each other with the maintenance of the cabins, our farm and the grounds. We are also involved with our local Mennonite church.

Clair and his sons have built upscale homes and have specialized in framing with exposed beam systems. Clair can cut the beams on his own sawmill located on the farm. That expertise was used in designing and building our cabins. We’ve used different species of wood for the floors, walls and ceilings. Most of the wood used in building the cabins have been cut on our sawmill. We are both lovers of wood and that love in reflected in our hand-built cabins.

We believe you’ll enjoy coming home to the warmth and beauty of our cabins. While you are here please feel free to explore our grounds. Who knows, you may find us knee deep in some unfinished work.

We are open year-round, and our cabins are available for nightly, weekly, monthly, or short-term. We hope to see you soon.

We personally built this Cabin of our dreams with wood and timbers cut on Clair's sawmill. We are within easy driving distance of a number of area attractions which include Chimney Rock, Lake Lure, The Biltmore House, Pisgah Forest, Dupont Forest, Flat Rock Playhouse and The Carl Sandburg Home. These are all within 30 minutes from Our Cabin. Than we have downtown Hendersonville which has many shops including antique shops and a Mast General Store to visit and lots of eating places which are only a 10 - 15 minute drive. We have ski slopes in the winter and hiking, waterfalls, and horseback riding in the summer. Whatever your interest in the mountains, you're sure to find it here in Hendersonville.
