Long weekend stay at Cradle Point

We cooked all our meals using both kitchens and had plenty of room and supplies to do so. Absolutely loved the grill and outdoor seating arrangements. We had plenty of room for everyone and the home matched exactly as advertised.

The location was great, nine bedrooms was great, seven bathrooms. The house is very clean when we arrived, having the second kitchen in the guest house was really excellent. Two full-size refrigerators in the main house was also a really good bonus. The host was very attentive to our needs.

Awesome Place on the Water

We were in town for a wedding and the house was perfect to accommodate our whole group. It was a great location close to the wedding venue. We loved sitting outside on the deck drinking coffee and morning cocktails. Would definitely recommend!

Excellent Peaceful Location

The Cradle Point Estate is absolutely amazing. Family-Friendly and great location for a retreat. Peace and Serenity The hosts are phenomenal. Will rent again in the very near future In The Spirit Of Community

Fabulous property !

We had a wonderful time staying at this home. We were a group of 12 ladies getting away for a girls weekend. This place was perfect, we did not leave for 3 days! Pickleball, paddle boarding, hot tub, and the arcade kept us busy. We were also able to go on long walks in the area. Plenty of room for everyone and a nice large kitchen to cook meals in and just hang out!

Peaceful Getaway

The property was as pictured/described with a nice, open layout for the common areas that felt very inviting. No issues at all with our very large family having enough space. Everyone loved kayaking and tubing off the docks. We were able to rent a boat nearby and explore the bay more as well. We made frequent use of the pickleball court and appreciated all the space for the kids to play. Indoors, the walkout basement had an excellent game room and theater room. The kitchen was also well stocked, which I appreciated. It is somewhat "off the beaten path" so heading out for trips or other activities took a bit longer. The only issues we ran into were not having enough hand towels/wash clothes and just a couple small maintenance items that the host happily took note of. There was a small ant problem but it was largely being managed with traps and we tried to be good about not keeping food out. The star of our stay though was the beautiful and peaceful views from the back porch. We saw gorgeous sunsets, a variety of birds, and Osprey diving for fish. The area was whisper quite at night. A great location for anyone looking for rest and relaxation.

Not As Advertised And Not Worth the Price

As a disclaimer, we are not new to VRBO and have never given or received anything less than a 5-star review. The location, the view, and the home layout are excellent and would normally be conducive to a relaxing gathering/vacation. Unfortunately, we arrived to the house to find (not a complete list): portions of the exterior deck boarded off which required going outside and around; numerous windows/doors without screens; wasp nests in deck furniture; construction/repair materials left in public areas; closet doors hanging off their tracks; dilapidated and legitimately unsafe deck bar and stools; poorly installed bedroom/bathroom cabinets that basically rendered them unusable; and unsupported decking that a family member stepped through. We did not approach the host about these things during the visit as we didn't want work being done while we were there. However, to be fair, she was very responsive to other things that came up during the visit. Afterwards, we did provide feedback directly to her regarding the issues and let her know that we were extremely disappointed in the premium price charged versus the misleading listing and the overall condition of the house. She thanked us for the feedback, indicating that it would help them to improve and that they had already begun addressing some of the issues. No refund was offered and we left feeling somewhat cheated.

Wonderful house and property; spacious, clean, well-equipped. Internet connection was flawless. Home theater was a nice touch. Excellent refrigerator and freezer space with two in kitchen area. Guest house was very helpful. Property well maintained and welcoming atmosphere. One of the best things in our experience was the availability of the host who responded to our concerns an inquiries super quick and was always helpful. Would stay there again and recommend to others.
