The weather outside was colder but the place was cozy and spacious enough for my family of four. The hot tub and outdoor fire place was a nice touch to enjoy the outside comfortably too.

Everything about this place is wonderful! Needed a peaceful getaway and that's exactly what I found here! Great view from the hot tub! Beautiful decor inside and out. Saving this to my favorites for a future visit!

This house is a hidden gem. Very quiet, cozy and peaceful. This is a great place to relax. The home is very clean, has great character and is obviously well cared for. We hope to visit again! Justin and Kendyl were excellent hosts.

Salt & Pine is a hidden gem! The host was communicative, quick to answer questions before our stay and made sure we had all the necessary information. The cottage is so well appointed - cute cozy coastal vibe and everything you need. The picture window has a gorgeous sunrise view and the hot tub is tucked in a spot with a bay view. We slept like babies all week on the comfortable beds. 100% recommend!

Awesome quiet spot with great deck to sit outside and enjoy the views and breeze off the water. The hosts communicated incredibly well and made sure that everything went well during our stay. Highly recommend!

Lovely place away from the nonsense

We had a great time. It was about 40 minutes to the Williamsburg area, but the peace and quiet at the location more than made up for it. The sunrise's and sunset's were beautiful.

We absolutely loved our stay at this cottage! It was exactly as pictured — cozy, spotless, and perfectly set on the river/bay with beautiful views in every direction. The hot tub was amazing, and the large deck with super comfy furniture made it easy to spend all day outside just relaxing. At night, the sky was incredible — completely clear and full of stars — and so peaceful and quiet. The bed was super comfortable, and the kitchen had everything we needed and more. Communication with the owners was great — very friendly and detailed. We can’t wait to come back!

My husband and I stayed at Salt & Pine Cottage for 3 days and left totally relaxed and de-stressed. There were water views out of almost every window! We are birdwatchers and enjoyed seeing migrating waterfowl, including Canada geese, Buffleheads, and a Common Loon, as well as lots of songbirds. Sitting on the deck by the fire pit was nice, but the hot tub was heavenly. The hosts have provided so many thoughtful touches, it’s an easy and comfortable place to stay. We want to go back soon. And we plan to take our son and 2 granddaughters for a visit in the spring or summer.

Amazing views and a perfect stay!

Beautiful views of the water 360 degrees around. Turtles can be found right in the driveway, along with a tiniest crabs you'll ever see. Perfect for kayaking and paddleboarding, which both are provided. The inside is extremely comfortable in every place you sit. The hot tub was the icing on the cake! Wish we'd stayed longer.

What a wonderful stay, from beginning to end. The hosts were extremely communicative and always available to answer questions. And the house is fantastic. You can tell that they put a LOT of effort into making it welcoming. Beautifully decorated, impeccably clean, and well stocked with everything you would need (e.g. pots, pans, silverware, glasses). And the view out the living room window is beautiful. Deck, fireplace, porch furniture were fantastic. We never had a chance to use the hot tub, but just ran out of time. There are some really interesting places to visit nearby, such as Gloucester Courthouse or New Point Comfort Natural Area. All in all, we highly recommend the home and hope to return. Thanks to the owners for being such welcoming hosts.

Absolutely stunning views with beautiful sunrises and sunsets, especially sunsets in the hot tub! House was very clean, decorated so nice. Provided essentials you may have forgotten to bring. Plenty of things to do both inside or outside. Water access with a community dock. So bring your boats! We enjoyed our time by relaxing, sightseeing, shopping, eating, and enjoying all the local attractions, and history. Definitely a 5 star stay. Justin and Kendyl are great host! You’ll see turtles, birds, and definitely crabs. Definitely a place we’d stay at again!

Kendyl & Justin are wonderful! Super responsive, informative and sweet.Salt & Pine is one of the most breathtaking cottages we've had the pleasure of staying at. I could go on and on about the amenities, decor & views! We went scouting/sightseeing for future adventures. And stopped for a wonderful lunch at The Seafood Shack. We were super excited when we were on the dock watching the sunset and saw a dolphin! And then the next morning saw a pod of dolphins! They swam back and forth for quite some time and it was such a treat to watch. Can't wait for another visit! We wish we would've booked a longer stay.......until next time.......which we hope is very soon!

This little crab kept following us on the dock and would just stop and stare while all the others would scurry away and hide.
Watched a pod of dolphins from the deck. Not an up-close but sure was so much fun to just hang out on the deck and watch.

We had the most relaxing and fun family vacation! I have never stayed at a VRBO that was so through through, from the super comfy beds, luxurious towels, and provision and everything you need from sunscreen to beach chairs. The kids had a blast all day swimming and catching crabs. The provision of the paddle board and kayaks really made the stay fantastic. They provided lots of games and we had so much fun connecting in such a serene and quiet place. The hot tub was well maintained and the patio furniture was comfortable. The property is located down a mile long dirt / gravel road which works well for bicycling should you bring bikes. We stopped into Matthews and ate at Richardsons, the milkshakes were awesome. Highly recommend this quiet get away to detox from the hustle bustle of life. It’s the first VRBO that we are anxious to return to.

The house was well stocked, clean, and neat. The location was beautiful with views of the water all around. The wrap around porch was a great place to sit and enjoy the views. The hosts were very responsive to any messages we sent.

Awesome place for a quick getaway Enjoyed the water at the neighborhood beach was some grass there but we had are water shoesHot tub was just right just used are umbrella so the sun wasn’t on us during afternoon Would stay there again beautiful placeThere is a dirt road so no need to clean your vehicle before you get there but the people are considerate on the road
