Welcome to your Bowers Beach retreat! Our beautiful property is a stone's throw from the beach and just 10 min from DE Turf complex. Ideal for families, couples, friends, and teams, our home has all the comforts you need. Enjoy bay views from the front porch (outdoor dining and lounging) and walk across the street to our local bars and restaurants (ask us for recomendations!). Or, if you prefer a cozy night in, our oversized couch is the perfect spot for movie or game nights with the family. Book your stay now and experience the best of Delaware living!

The home has three large bedrooms and 2.5 bathrooms. All bedrooms have queen beds with upstairs rooms having an additional daybed/trundle (2 singles), futon (1 full), and pull-out chair bed (1 single). All amenities you need for your stay are included in the home, as well as additional amenities to include board games, beach toys, grill, Keurig/pods, printer. For a full list please reference listing amenities and reach out with questions!

Guests have full access to the entire front porch, home, back deck, and front and back yards. The garage is not a part of the rental property, however there are parking spaces behind the house.

Note: Our home is raised 5 feet off the ground, therefore steps are required for both entrances of the house as well as for the upstairs bedrooms.

We had a great stay here despite the rain for 3 of the 4 days. The hosts were excellent and quick to respond. Highly recommend this place. Itā€™s in a small quiet community but not far to drive to anything you need. The beach here is beautiful and not busy.

Our stay was perfect!From easy check in to accommodations we couldnā€™t ask for anything more.The home is spacious, homey, comfortable with a fully stocked kitchen. Everything was provided right down to beach chairs, umbrella and sunscreen. Highly recommended staying here and would definitely come back!

Perfect Beach Getaway

Our stay was absolutely wonderful! The property offered great Wi-Fi, central air to keep us cool and comfortable, and plenty of privacy. The best part was being just steps away from the beach ā€” it made our mornings and evenings so relaxing. Scott, our host, was extremely communicative and helpful, making the entire process smooth and stress-free. Everything was exactly as described, and I would definitely stay here again.

Perfect rental for sports parents

Our family of 7 stayed in this beautiful home while attending my daughterā€™s field hockey tournament at DE Sports Turf. Everyone was blown away by how clean, spacious and well organized the house was. We had room to spread out, cook and relax between games, and everyone rested well in the peaceful rooms. We will absolutely be back again next year!

Great location and house

In town for a lacrosse tournament and being only 12 minutes from the fields was amazing! Owners over-communicated and were super accommodating. Able to walk across the street and grab a drink and dinner at JPs. Highly recommend!

Awesome Location and Property

This site was perfect for a family traveling for a Lax weekend. We arrived late on Friday easy check in and walk across the parking lot to a restaurant. 15 min to the field and arrive back to the house to relax an hang. Very comfortable clean and the the host family were quick to respond. Definitely would stay again ! Lee

Charming 3 bedroom - nicely updated and decorated. Great location - quick walk to beach, JP's at Wharf, and only 10 minutes drive to DE Turf Complex. Great communication with owner. Can highly recommend!

Beautiful and Convenient

This was a last minute booking for New Years with my family. From the onset, all communication with Scott was prompt and professional. The property was beautiful and clean while also being close to eateries and groceries if you want to cook/bbq. Will definitely return in the future for a longer stay.

Perfect for Lacrosse

We stayed here while our sonā€™s tournament was at DE Turf. It was very convenient and plenty of space. The fields are about 13 min away. The restaurant in the parking lot was convenient after being at the fields all day.

Holiday House

The property was accurate in its pictures and description.It was well stocked and was perfect for our family while visiting with relatives over Christmas. We enjoyed the beautiful sunrises, the Bayview bar, and the short walk to the beach. We also met the neighborhood cats several times during our stay. Scott was very easy to communicate with and always responded promptly to any questions or concerns.I would definitely stay there again, possibly during the summer season when there is more going on.

Great sleepy town!!!

Great place. We had a blast!!! The town is small and quiet. Bay has a great beach for the kids just a walk down the quiet street, and great fishing for me! Restaurant was great. Good food and right on the water. Icecream parlor right nextdoor too! House was super clean and well stockedwith everything we needed. We wish we were staying longer!!! Thank you Scott for your help getting us started.

Clean, well appointed, beautiful home!

This home is exactly as it is advertised and more! The home is fully stocked to welcome guests from the beach cart and beach towels to the q-tips and cotton balls! Nothing is overlooked! Scott was unbelievably responsive - even more than I expected - and resolved a minor concern within minutes. The big comfy couch was fantastic for all 8 of us (including 5 teens). We played games and watched movies and everyone was nice and cozy! The beach was great for kayaking and fishing - the water temp was 80ā€™s (mulch better than the ocean). Iā€™d recommend water shoes if youā€™re planning to wade/swim though. Overall we had a great stay at Bowers Beach retreat and Iā€™d highly recommend Scott and Rachel, who truly are ā€œSuper hosts!ā€

Bowers Beach Getaway LAX Tournament

I hosted four teenage boys for a lacrosse tournament in Frederica. Fields were 10 minutes away. It was great staying in a home vs a hotel. Comfy beds. Responsive host. Accommodated our needs for adjusted check out. Big comfy couch and porches as re relaxing set up. Restaurant and food truck were amazing and had live music both nights in parking lot in front. Charming, sleepy little town. Don't plan on swimming at this beach and bring bug spray in summer. We will be back! Zero complaints

Top secret getaway

We had an event in Dover over the weeked and wanted to stay somewhere close but still have a little adventure and this place hit the spot. The house is spotless and beautifully decorated and made for a great getaway when added to the whole Bowers Beach experience. The history of this area is rich and though it's in the middle of everything it's almost untouched by time. We spent the day at Rehobeth, and nothing against driving in circles for a half hour looking for a parking place, but man coming back here and walking on the silent beach, watching the tiny bay waves lap the sand, seeing the sun turn the sky all the colors over the bay, watching the river flow the opposite direction as the tide comes back in, checking out the food truck and the new outdoor big screen at JP's, it just couldn't have been a better weekend. The house is wonderful, the porch is perfect, it's tremendously clean, and it's a just a stroll across the parking lot for a cold beer and fresh fish. We would absolutely stay here again, next time though we'll skip the boardwalk at RB and just stay here the whole time.

Excellent Stay!

We really enjoyed our stay at Scott and Rachel's Bowers beach retreat. The property is exactly as it looks in pictures- so clean, fresh, and comfortable! My mom kept insisting it must have been professionally decorated because it looked so nice lol. The check in process was quick and easy with key pad access, and Scott even let us know ahead of time that the property would be available an hour ahead of the listed check in time in case we arrived early which was not expected and really nice. We were already familiar with the area, so found the location as expected and as described. There were so many small extra touches at this property- beach chairs and supplies for use, sunscreen, an outdoor shower for rinsing off your feet after spending time in the sand, a drawer full of spices in the kitchen to name a few. I really have nothing negative to say about this property what so ever! We really enjoyed our time here and would definitely book again in the future. Thank you Scott and Rachel!
