Peaceful Point Lake Lodge is a Luxurious Lakeside Getaway Cabin on Jack The Horse Lake in the Heart of the Chippewa National Forest. Relax at this Cozy Escape w/ a 2 person Jacuzzi Tub, Fireplace, Pool Table, Ping Pong Table, Well Equipped Kitchen for Cooking & Baking, TV/Wifi/DVD & More! Outdoor Amenities Include a Lakeside Deck, Small Sandy Beach, Campfire Area, Boating Dock & options for Watercraft Rentals (Outdoor Amenities are available mid-May to early Oct). Great for Family Vacations, Retreats, Couples Weekends, Girlfriend Getaways & Outdoor Enthusiasts. *This is NOT A PARTY HOUSE ~ Setting is Peaceful & Quiet*

**Notice for Guests Staying mid-October to mid-April** It's beneficial to bring vehicles w/snow tires and/or 4WD. Low clearance vehicles may have difficulty driving to the property. The lake home is on a snow packed gravel road. Cell coverage can be spotty.

Watercraft Rentals: Guests at Peaceful Point Lake Home may rent Pontoons, Fishing Boats, Kayaks, Stand Up Paddle Boards & Canoes from Jack The Horse Resort from May 15-Oct 5 (Availability is Limited-Reserve Early). Guest may also bring their own boats which must be inspected at JTH Resort prior to launch (boat launch is private property, not public). All other JTH Resort amenities are NOT included with this rental. Water skiing, jet skiing, tubing, ATV/OHV, etc. are not permitted for guests

Peaceful Point is 3,800 sq ft, 4 Bedrooms + 5th Bedroom/4 Season Porch, 3.5 Bathrooms. Sleeps 12, will rent to groups as large as 16 ppl.

Repeat Stay

We have been coming back to this cabin for the past 10 years off and on for our Winter Friends Retreat. Place is always clean, great communication with Josh and Kristen, love the big dining table.

Peaceful Point

Our third time at this beautiful Lakehome in the Chippewa National Forest. Perfect for my family, bonfires, loons on the lake singing at night. The accommodations are ideal for families or large groups, miss it already!

Fun weekend away

There was 7 of us that stayed the weekend and we were very happy with the rental. The hosts were very timely with communication and answered any questions that I had immediately. I look forward to staying again in the future!

Awesome cabin

My friends and I just shared some of our best memories and fun at this location. Managers communicated quickly with any questions I had about the property and were very friendly. Definitely recommend!

FAMILY TIME UP IN THE CHIPPEWA

Our second year at Peaceful Point and we just love this spot. Perfect for large families - and the name fits, so quiet and private. Highly recommend! We will hopefully be back again next fall!

Peaceful point getaway

The property, process, and Lakeside house were as described. Communication with the property managers was perfect and seamless. They were great about letting us know about process for check in ahead of time and communicated perfectly when we had questions. We relaxed, fished, enjoyed the pontoon provided by Jack the Horse Lake Resort, read books and . . .relaxed. The kitchen had everything we needed and then some. Zero complaints and 100% satisfied! Hope to return next year!

Northern MN Tranquility

Tranquil is an accurate description for this amazing VRBO. The home is very spacious and the kitchen is fully stocked with all the equipment needed. We felt like we had a private lake for the week. The only noise we heard was the loons! We highly recommend this VRBO for anyone looking for a northern MN experience!

Peaceful lake getaway

Very beautiful lake and location. Clean and well maintained property. Easy to communicate with property manager. Bring your own body wash, spices (there is salt and pepper), condiments and charcoal for the grill. Only one bundle of firewood provided.

Quiet, beautiful getaway

We had a wonderful weeklong stay at this lodge. It was exactly as advertised, with plenty of space and a well-supplied kitchen. The kids enjoyed swimming off the dock and the small beach. The husband caught some big large-mouth bass off the dock and was happy. The pool and ping-pong tables kept us entertained on the one rainy day we had. The house is within driving distance to several state parks, and the food store in Bigfork had some of the best sausages we have ever had.

Serene and relaxing

This home was everything as advertised and more. Perfectly cleaned, spacious and comfortable, well stocked. It’s very private with no other homes within sight. Excellent communication with the owners. Everything a northern Minnesota vacation should be. The lake is breathtakingly beautiful. Listening to the cry of the loons in the morning was icing on the cake.

Great view

We stayed in this home for a little winter getaway near family. The home was spacious with plenty to do inside when it’s freezing outside. We loved the home even had board games as well! The only con was the oven was not working but Linda was very apologetic and willing to replace the oven during our stay. Overall we had a really great time and would stay there again!

5th time staying - Always great!

We always have an amazing time stayimg here. Managers are prompt with replies to questions. This time there were plenty of towels on hand and there were sheets and a pillow already in the sun room which was great. We noticed that the futon got switched out but the sofa is comfy. Just as a heads up, the oven didnt heat up as well as our ovens at home. Still doable but may need to up the temperature when baking. Overall a great time!

Awesome time spent at Peaceful Point! Memories made that you cannot put a price on. Great property with a ton of space. This is what I pictured in my mind when I booked the cabin. Enjoyed the lake. Got a great week of weather, but would have been happy with hanging out in this spacious cabin if we had been rained out all week. Fishing was hit or miss, but did catch enough for a fish fry. Overall, had a great time, and wouldn't have changed a thing. Highly recommended.

2023 family vacation

The house was large enough for our family, the kitchen was nice and spacious and well stocked as we did all of our cooking on-site. The only suggestion I would make to improve the property would be steps from either the back door or deck to the fire pit area. We loved our times by the fire but for those of us with questionable knees, the hill going up and down to access that area was steep. There are wonderful steps going to the dock/small beach area, and some like that would work great. We loved our stay at this property and management was very and quickly responsive.

Short Comings

Overall good, but there are some areas of not so good. Lighting or lack thereof, insufficient for reading, no lights by sofas or chairs and overhead lights are very dim. Only one TV in the basement and a very old model. It will not broadcast any HD channels or programs-no instructions either. No timer for cooking, no instructions on Microwave for using a timing option. No salt for icy steps. Only one small armful of fireplace wood for a four day stay is pretty low for a "first class" place.

Beautiful Lake Home, perfect for family vacations.

I love the Chippewa National Forest, have been coming to the Talmoon / Marcell area for years. I wanted to find a place large enough to accommodate our family. This was my favorite rental, ever! This home has everything you need, very quiet secluded location. We loved it all. Hope to return again!
