This architect-designed beach house sits in the heart of Beach Haven on Long Beach Island, one block from the ocean. Five bedrooms, three bathrooms, 10 guests.

Custom furnished by a local designer, the Beach Haven Belle has open spaces that are festooned with porches bordered by front and back gardens. This ultimate beach cottage is rented on a weekly basis in high season and a three-night minimum in the off-season, this five-bedroom beach house is tastefully designed and appointed in keeping with the period of its neighboring Victorian Grande Dames.

Reclaimed barnwood floors, a beautiful great room, a light-filled sitting room, a private garden with two barbecues, and vintage finds throughout. Classic Americana beach life, elevated: relaxed, barefoot, and made for making memories.

High season (June–Sep): Sunday–Sunday only, 7-night min.
Off-season: 3-night min.

THE HOUSE
This one-of-a-kind LBI beach cottage sleeps 10 guests comfortably, blending vintage warmth, designer craftsmanship, and contemporary barefoot living. Soaring ceilings, exposed beams, and reclaimed barnwood set the tone throughout.

The fully-stocked designer kitchen with a British Aga range and aged zinc countertops, indoor and outdoor dining areas, three full bathrooms, and a bathhouse with hot water cover every need.

Step out to the hydrangea-adorned garden with two barbecues and a large outdoor sitting and dining area — made for socializing at its best. The airy front porch is perfect for morning coffee or unwinding after the beach.

The town is just a short stroll or pedal away: ice cream down the block, fine seafood restaurants, bike rentals, and old-school arcades. The beach is one block away. No car needed.

This house is beautifully furnished and decorated. The beds were very comfortable. The views of the flowering bushes and trees fromeach window were truly spectacular. It is a very short walk to a lovely ocean beach.

Perfect LBI location

Just got back from an amazing stay at the Beach Haven Belle on Coral Ave in Beach Haven. The house was perfect for 3 families with young kids. Close to the sandy beaches, quick bike rides to Fantasy Island and Bay Village and walkable to almost every great restaurant in Beach Haven. Great house for fun with friends and family!

Fantastic vacation!!!

We had a great trip. The house is beautiful and spacious! Location, location, location...a block from the beach overlooking the park, two blocks from the market and restaurants, multiple ice cream choices right near by. Caroline (the owner) has done a spectacular job renovating the house and has all the necessities waiting for you from toilet paper to spices. We will definitely be back to stay at 118 Amber!

the house interior is so pretty and i loved the beachy decor. there’s a wonderful private outdoor shower in the backyard that’s perfect after beach days. the bedrooms were all decorated so nicely. there’s an ice cream parlor we all loved just halfway around the block - and a bike rental spot, surf shop that offers lessons and cafe - all within a block - so it was a prime location for us

Great house

Beautiful home that is very well kept. The house had everything we needed and was very spacious and had a great classy, beach vibe. Close to walk to everything, including restaurants, grocery store, fantasy island, and the beach. Loved not having to bring bath and beach towels as well as linens.We had seven adults in our group. I would highly recommend this property.

While we mostly found the house a good match we did have issues. The kitchen was cramped and the oven was very small. We had problems with drying our clothes and clean towels in the dryer. I couldn’t vacuum as the Dyson did not hold a charge. We loved the location and lay out of this quaint house. The bedrooms were big and roomy.

Dream wedding

We rented this home where our wedding ceremony was held and the home inside and out made the wedding photos turn out incredible. The home is clean and extremely lovely, while the owner went over and beyond to be accommodating. My wedding was xtra beautiful just because of the home. Thank you sooooo much!

Heaven in Beach Haven!

My family and I just got home from a wonderful, cozy Thanksgiving spend in this gorgeous home. This home is decorated beautifully and is impreccably maintained. It is comfortable and spacious. The location is perfect - once we got there, we didn't touch our car again - we could walk a block to the beach or a block in the other direction to town/restaurants/adorable shops, etc. The owner was wonderful to work with, and was committed to being sure we were happy and that all of our questions were answered. It was our family of 5 and my sister in laws family of 5 - so a total of 10 slept very comfortably. The kids loved the lighthouse room and the nautical room where the beds were hanging from ropes! My husband and I felt like we were in heaven in the master. the good news was that my sister in law and her husband also had a king sized bed, so we didn't feel bad 'taking 'the king! This was a vacation that will not soon be forgotten - we can't wait to go back and visit again!

Perfect Beach week

Despite even the tropical storm that rolled on thru the area we had an awesome time. The accommodations were excellent, clean and easy to make ourselves right at home. We enjoyed the spacious home and all of its wonderful amenities and the area was ideal for all of us to walk from mini golf to beach to restaurants and bars. We took bike rides and run/jogs every day. The back yard was delightful and relaxing along with the porch. Everyone was comfortable in the bedrooms and bathrooms, the outdoor shower was excellent also. The house comes with beach chairs, umbrella however we didn't realize and brought out own. The beach is about 5 mins walk from house which is so convenient and easy for our older children to have independence and be able to come and go as they pleased. The Pearl Street market is a favorite of ours and was just around the corner. The other restaurants we love going to each year are Black Whale, Bird & Betty's, Oyster Bar, Shell for music and sushi and the Engleside for a great beach bar. Seeing surfers early morning is always fun down in the southern part of island at Holgate. The teenage girls love hitting up the shopping in Beach Haven, esp Island Gypsy! I loved the Guapo coffee house (new for me) and the Tacos and empanadas at La Bamba were terrific too! We also walked past the Crepe place on Beach St. and were so excited to see that the couple who used to own the crepe place on Bay St from many years ago established it. Delicious. 4 ⭐️

Family Beach Week

The owner was incredibly responsive and proactive with this listing. They also made it seamless and easy to be ready to walk in day one and know exactly what to expect and what to do. Everything around the house is made to easily have a wonderful family vacation whether you’re cooking at home, walking to restaurants or other activities. Even the idea of going to the beach is made easy with lots of chairs, towels, and an outdoor shower that is designed so well that you could use it all the time. What an incredible place to make lasting family memories.

We absolutely loved this house - rented it for my bridal party to stay in for the weekend of my wedding. Everyone loved the unique, beautiful decor and design and the spacious, comfortable living areas! A perfect house for a group/wedding party weekend getaway.

Beautiful home & the perfect LBI location!

We just returned from a wonderful weeklong stay. The home was recently renovated from top to bottom. The decor is truly special and the home is well appointees with everything you could ask for. The owners were very welcoming and helpful throughout our stay. The location can't be beat. The beach is a lovely stroll up the street and all of the attractions of Beach Haven are a short walk or bike ride away. I hope to return soon!

Beach Haven Belle

The Beach Haven Belle is so aptly named, living up to the image its name implies of beauty, charm, and substance, while leaving an impression on its guests of sincere hospitality from the first step onto the hydrangea-graced porch. It is such a pleasure to stay in a home whose owners care so deeply about the design, quality, comfort, convenience and care of it. Our family had a wonderful time in Beach Haven and felt nothing but at ease in this home, a true vacation! It is very well-equipped and the owners are generous with the provision of home, as well as beach, amenities. This is a vacation home that guests who fly to the area would find truly accommodating! Of great significance to our entire family is the fact that we did not need to drive a car for the entire week we were there. The house is incredibly convenient to all that Beach Haven has to offer. It is an easy stroll to the beach, and we walked to every restaurant, park, playground, ice cream shop, grocery store and of course, the favored Pearl Street Market, just around the block. Back at the house, the inviting front porch was a favorite morning and evening spot, as was the dining and sitting area in the back of the house. It is such a comfort to arrive from the beach, also, to the beautiful patio out back. The outdoor shower is always a great hit! Settling down and waking up in such lovely and comfortable bedrooms truly enhanced our entire stay. We all still talk about our stay in Beach Haven Belle as we reminisce or speak to others about the area, and we are so grateful to have found this house and these owners.

The Beach Haven Belle a beautifully decorated and well appointed Jersey Shore cottage!

From the moment we arrived at this charming and beautifully designed seashore cottage, we were spellbound. How often do advertised photographs meet with expectation?! This lovely airy home complete with fresh hydrangea from the garden definitely fits the bill. With amenities for a carefree vacation at the shore and a fully equipped home for family life and entertaining, the Beach Haven Belle was a perfect match for our three generation family. Located in the charming and wonderfully maintained historic neighborhood in Beach Haven, we enjoyed the nearby Pearl Street Market, a neighborhood park, a play structure at a local church, and a very short walk to the dunes and beach. Our only wish was that we could stay for another week. We also had the fortunate opportunity to meet the hospitable and very gracious owners of the property, which made our stay even more welcoming and enjoyable. If you are looking for the charm and air of the seashore in a fabulous cottage, this is the place. You will not be disappointed! Arlene Grant Danville, California

Ultimate beach haven house

I loved this house! Beautiful and extremely comfortable too. Well equipped and great back patio for relaxing w coffee in the am...close to the beach and pretty much the best house we have ever rented.

After 20 years in France as a marketing-communications executive and part-time designer, Alexandria-native, Caroline Lechaux, returned to the United States where she founded OUTinDesign, LLC, a residential design and renovation firm. She creates value through residential creations designing, renovating and decorating.
Her renovation and design projects are scattered up and down the East Coast from Maine to the Shenandoah Valley of Virginia and across the Atlantic to France where most of her work has been in Provence and Paris. Throughout her years in business in France and the United States, Caroline worked at blue-chip companies such as Conde-Nast, The Walt Disney Company, Remy-Cointreau, and Coty. Her hobby was design and renovation. While in France, she restored, renovated, designed, and decorated eight properties. Since returning, she has done ten in the United States - eight major projects in Maine, Virginia and New Jersey, two seaside Victorians, a farmhouse and three beach houses, as well as decorating a Gramercy Hill apartment in New York City. Caroline’s expertise and talent include analysis of the essence of a property, appropriate planning, designing, space re-configuration, job-site management, interior design, decoration, furniture creations from original material, salvage, and antique sourcing.

My husband grew up vacationing on Long Beach Island. He was a lifeguard on the island for seven years as a young man. When we married, I passed the 'causeway test', what every potential wife or husband must go through before wedding. I fell in love with LBI and decided to renovate and work on the island doing beach house design, restoration and renovation.

The garden stands out as the most peaceful and beautiful place to both begin and end the days. I love the beautiful views from both master bedrooms, the one-block-away amazing beach and access to all the town has to offer by foot. I especially love that Pearl Street Market is around the corner. It's a great place for socializing. The beach up the street is one of the nicest you an find on the East Coast.
Around the corner, a 15-capacity home is available for rent. Combined, the package rental of the adjoining properties is perfect for a 25-person family reunion or wedding.
