EXCELLENT STAY

Rating Details: The property manager was very helpful. The vacation rental was spotless. I was very happy with the location. I was very satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: We stayed at the Alexander Lee for a family vacation and it was perfect. Great location, clean, organized, fully stocked. We loved the private beach and the central location to everything in the neighborhood. Check in / out was a smooth and easy process and everything in the home was comfortable and well thought-out. We will definitely be back!

Relaxing Family Vacation

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Wonderful stay- cannot say enough great things about Bay Creek Community. The house was lovely and had everything we needed. It was in great condition. We loved watching the sunset every night over the water. The Pool club and beach club were both excellent! Would highly recommend and plan to come again!

Great family annual trip

Rating Details: The property manager was very helpful. The vacation rental was somewhat dirty. I was very happy with the location. I was very satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: This was a great house in Bay creek. The first floor layout is spectacular for families and gathering, and the location on the private beach is ideal. The house was lovely. The process was easy and the accommodations were great. The one negative is that the house had an extreme amount of fruit flies and gnats in the kitchen the entire stay making it difficult to cook and enjoy the kitchen area, they were everywhere despite keeping doors closed and food covered. Other than that, we loved the home and would definitely stay again!!

When we first arrived I was completely enamored with the property. I noticed a few fruit flies as I walked through the kitchen but didn’t think much of it at the time. At this point we had not brought any of our own food into the house as we had not gone shopping yet. After bringing our food in, the kitchen became inundated with fruit flies. We didn’t leave anything out and put everything in the refrigerator. I contacted management the next day as it was starting to really impact our stay. I was told that there was a blue light in the kitchen to help. Upon checking that blue light we found it was over saturated by fruit flies. It clearly should have been changed prior to our arrival. They offered to come and spray but at that point it would have been disruptive and seemed pointless. It completely interfered with our ability to enjoy food or even have a glass of wine as they would swarm. They swarmed around our children’s fruit boxes and food. Disgusting. I no longer spent time in the kitchen and we decided to eat out for all of our meals. In addition, the property indicates that there are 3 King beds. In reality there are no king mattresses. Every king that they listed was actually two twin beds pushed together. And because of that, completely uncomfortable. Although I loved the house and its appearance, I would never rent this house again for the above reasons would

Overall a great house - some suggestions for improvements

I was more than satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: This is our second time staying in Bay Creek and 4th time staying in Cape Charles. Overall the house was great - just a couple of improvements need to be made. Better black out blinds would be appreciated as well as a clean outside grill (the one there was unusable). The split king beds were uncomfortable - a regular king mattress would be better. Need to fix the leaking roof (primary bedroom closet). The camera on the top floor was a bit unsettling as our 11 year old granddaughter was staying up there even tho it was partially covered with blue painters tape. Better pans and more big serving bowls would be nice. Overall the house was nice. Check out Buttercups in Eastville for great coffee, bagels, biscuits, sandwiches!

You don't come here for exciting night life, discos, bars and pick-up/hook-up scene. This is for young couples with kids and families....Period. We LOVE it!
