The mountain views from the living room were amazing! The kitchen had anything and everything you might need. Our kids loved the downstairs room with a super comfortable sectional and the pool table. The master bedroom shower was quite the experience and the host communication was top notch. Would recommend this rental to any family interested in staying in Woodland Park.

The Purple Mountain Chalet is exactly as listed! It was a wonderful house in a lovely mountain setting. The house was clean and the host was very communicative. The hot tub was clean, perfect after a long day of hiking. The whole house had great amenities. We had a great vacation stay with our family!

Wonderful view from the porch where we ate most of our at home meals. Beds were comfy and linens and towels very nice. Kitchen had all the tools needed for cooking. Our grand daughter enjoyed the games both inside and in the yard. Quiet neighborhood, Had a fun visit from 2 friendly small ponies that enjoyed an apple our granddaughter gave them!

The views are spectacular and the outdoor areas are perfection- from the patio, to the hot tub, to the fire pit area. The most beloved part for our kids was definitely the tree house. This was truly a treasured family getaway. The kitchen has everything you need and the game room is also tons of fun. I was torn between a 4 and 5 on this property. We loved our stay, but the uncomfortable queen bed in the upstairs bedroom resulted in 6 sleepless nights. And I would be remiss not to share my honest experience. The host mentioned that they planned to replace it after our stay. Overall, a lovely home and great memories were created here!!

Had a nice view, well stocked with kitchen items, pots, dishes etc. nice hot tub. Host was attentive but not overbearing. We celebrated my wife’s 40th birthday and had a great time.

Wonderful place to spend the weekend

Beautiful views, plenty of activities at home, great signs around the house to explain the “how-to” use the facilities (I.e. wi-fi, water filter), and very clean. Great place to stay!

Clean, comfortable and beautiful

The house was super comfortable with all the amenities and plenty of games, activities and places to relax, both inside and outside. It's in a wonderful location - far enough from the bustle but close enough to anything you'd need. The host was very nice and responsive.

Great family vacation.

Very nice property and wonderful views, a little disapointed in that the hot tub temperature never rose above 94 degrees. Otherwise enjoyed all the amenities.

I wish you reached out as we could've easily guided you on how to turn up the temperature. So far, none of our guests have had a problem with turning the temperature up when needed.

Great 7-night stay. I must start with the stunning view of Pike's Peak from the deck. The pictures in the listing are accurate, in fact the real-life views complete with Aspen trees on the property were better than the pictures. Communication with the owner Andrew was excellent. I find direct individual owned properties to be a much better experience vs corporate owned properties. We were in town for Parents Weekend at the Air Force Academy. The home offers a true mountain feel but is only 30 mins from SW COS. Attractions like Pike's Peak, Garden of the Gods, Cave of the Winds, Cripple Creek, and ATV excursions are all inside 30 mins. Woodland Park has the feel of a Mountain resort town with plenty of nice restaurants/cafe's. Cafe Leo and Red Diamond Gastro Pub were highlights. In addition, the 30 mins distance from SW COS made a world of difference in the weather. It was high 80's in COS all week, yet in Woodland Park it was only mid-high 70's and perfectly cool nights. The house itself was very well set up. The large central kitchen with island bar and open plan into the dining room and living room was a highlight. We hosted a bbq with friends from the Academy and it was a perfect. Kitchen is well stocked with coffee/Keurig, spices, oils, paper towels, and general necessities. Well-rounded stock of cookware, dishes and small appliances. Master bedroom/bathroom/shower also exceptional and large. Garage game room and lower-level pool table are a great add. Easily recommended!

Great place, great base

Daughter found this property and the area has long been a favorite. Beautiful house, inside and out. We walked to end of the street and straight into hiking. Mule deer greeted us as we drove up. The view is perfect from the deck or the hot tub. 6 nozzle shower was crazy good.

Thanksgiving Getaway

We had an amazing Thanksgiving here! There was a total of 10 of us that stayed here, including 2 kids. There was plenty of room! The game room and pool table kept us all busy, connected, and having fun. The kitchen was stocked full of everything we needed to cook and eat with. The couch downstairs hosted a few movie nights where we all could lounge comfortably. The view was amazing! It snowed a few times while we were there and it was absolutely beautiful! Andrew was quick to respond to message. We would definitely come back!

Breathtaking Views & Tons of Activities

This chalet was a blast for our group. The combination of the view, amenities, and activities this place has to offer is unlike any other we've come across on VRBO. The chef's kitchen has an incredible setup and large space - this is where we spent most of our time when not doing activities (our group is all about the food). That said, the activities available here will give you so much variety and you'll never get bored. In the garage we played ping pong, air hockey, and foosball - even in the winter the space warmed up quick with the supplied space heaters. In the basement we played billiards and enjoyed the enormous TV and cozy sitting area. In the front outdoor area we enjoyed breathtaking views of the mountain range every morning. And just below in the lower outdoor area, we soaked in the satisfyingly heated hot tub. We had so much fun cooking and cycling through these activities we didn't even get to the other available activities, including board games (some of them giant outdoor versions.) Our host was very responsive when we had questions and despite our stay during the holidays, the host was very accessible. All told, we truly enjoyed our stay and appreciated all the support from the host! We'd recommend this spot to small or large groups, with or without kids - you can be accommodated and comfortable, thanks to the upscale amenities/activities plus the privacy & serenity of the location, and surrounding nature/wildlife. Looking forward to our next vacation here!

We had an amazing time staying here. The house was clean, fully stocked with everything we (family of 9) needed. The property is well maintained, gorgeous views (saw wildlife right outside the balcony). Close vicinity to restaurants, grocery stores and gas stations. Quiet, peaceful neighborhood. We went to Cave of the winds mountain park, Rafting on the Arkansas river, Hiking and to the top of Pikes Peak all attractions within driving distance. Andrew was an outstanding host, answering any questions I had promptly and honestly even providing us with a guide of recommendations. Our age range of family this trip was 7-73 and everyone thoroughly enjoyed this property. Would absolutely stay here again!
