We love this place! This was our second time renting this property as it accommodates my whole family perfectly! The amenities keep us moving and the kids really enjoy it! Definitely recommended!

This was the perfect cottage for my family and the location was awesome. Easy walk down to the dock. Very peaceful place. The cottage was well stocked with everything we needed also. Would definitely stay here again!!

Norris Lake Family Fun

Sapphire Cottage was clean and accommodating for all of our family members. We enjoyed the convenience and very close proximity to lake access. Only a few short minutes by boat to Twin Cove Marina or a few more by car. We all enjoyed our week long stay!

Wedding trip

Some friends and myself rented this place to sleep while we set up and attended my daughter’s wedding. The area is very unique! The house was very clean.

Family Vacation

This property was everything we needed! Nice walk to the lake with minimum steps, easy for the kids and our older parents. Had all the accommodations we needed to enjoy our summer vacation! Will definitely rent again!

Perfect!

Everything was as advertised, host was responsive, and we had a great time. It was really nice not having to walk down a ton of stairs to get to the dock like other houses. Would stay again.

Annual Adult Trip

Perfect location & close to hwy/grocery. We loved the access to the dock! It was a short walk from the house w/very few steps. Checked all our boxes and we cannot wait to return next year. Owners were easily available & upheld great communication.

The house was comfortable and gave everyone the space they needed. The boat ramp was close and easy to get to and the deck with the slide was loved by all. See you next year!

We really enjoyed our stay at this cozy lake cottage. The setting was peaceful, the renovations tasteful, and the patio fernishings, firepit, and kayaks made for great family outdoor time. The kitchen was better stocked than expected, and the labeled light switches were a thoughtful touch. The dedicated ice maker is nice bonus if you spend a day on the lake. The host responded quickly to the few small issues we had. Just be prepared for stairs — it’s three levels — and bring your own extra paper goods and trash bags, which surprised us as first-time VRBO guests.

Pleasant stay

We enjoyed our stay. The cottage was perfect for us. The dock is perfect and the area was quiet. The cottage was comfortable and had all of the necessary amenities. The ice maker was an added bonus! Listen to the directions and do not try and take a boat to the house. It's easiest to launch it at the public boat launch which is close to the house by car and water (maybe about 12 min by car and about the same or a tad less by boat).

Great weekend at the Lake

This place was great! There are 3 levels with 3 bedrooms, a loft with beds and 2 common areas. It also had a porch and covered area underneath. A gas grill and firepit. Fully stocked kitchen (no d/w). And great views of the lake. Large dock to swim off of or fish. And a place to keep ur boat (covered). Easy check in and out and great communication. Close to interstate exit, food options and close to twin cove Marina. Would stay here again for sure!

Great place to stay on Norris Lake

We loved the cottage. Cottage has been totally remodeled and everything was new. Kitchen well stocked (no dishwasher but that was no big deal). Beds were comfortable and the decks were nice. Small slope down to the lake which was great. The dock was all new with a slide. Loved the location close to Twin Cove Marina. We put our boat in at Ray Wilson public ramp which was close and easy to use. Owners were great to work with. Would definitely stay here again.

This is the second year in a row we've stayed there with our family. There's 11 of us in total. We come to Norris every year for our family vacation. The closeness to the water is so nice, very minimal steps. House is clean and well furnished. Love sitting on the deck but even nicer to sit on the lower patio with cool breeze from ceiling fans. The ice machine is wonderful. Saved us so much money in ice for coolers. The dock is practically new, added kayaks. The kids loved kayaking. The steps into the water, the water slide, slips, picnic table made it a great place for the family to hang out. We loved our stay at "The Blue House" as the grandkids call it. We hated to leave. We hope to be back next year.

For starters the resort is not handicapped friendly. The driveway is sloped, there are many steps to get to the front door. Once you get up there the code easily unlocked the front door. To the right is an attractive kitchen which had plenty utensils, bowls and pots and pans. There wasn’t a dishwasher so everything has to be washed by hand with a sponge and detergent which they supplied. The appliances were new and the refrigerator was large but did not dispense ice or water. There is an ice machine in the lower level. The dining room was to left which was adequate. The living room/gathering space was off the dining room. It was on the small side but nicely decorated with a fireplace.Off the living room there were steps leading to the upper level where there were two bedrooms with lots of sleeping space according to my sister. I was not able to navigate the steps due to hip problems. Downstairs there was another bedroom with a bathroom nearby. There was a sliding glass door accessible to the outside driveway and carport area.The main level area has a small bathroom with no storage and small counter space for getting dressed. The bathtub made it hard for seniors to step over and there were no grab bars. The shower water pressure was weak. The advertisement indicated there was a gentle slope to the dock which we thought is in fact a steep slope to the deck and was rocky when you got to the bottom.The access road to the resort was partly gravel and had t

Nice lake vacation

This home is great for a lake vacation. It’s located at the end of a narrow drive but does have a boat dock for your own boat. Easy to launch at a nearby marina. Swimming right off the dock for the kids was a highlight. The water is deep, a slide is also on the dock. We did bring lounge chairs. There is a picnic table on the dock. Multiple level home with steps to upstairs and downstairs. Air cooling system worked great. Rent a boat nearby if you don’t have one to bring. We had kids ages 3-13 and they all loved jumping into the water. Very clean home. Well stocked kitchen. Could use more paper products (TP, Kleenex, garbage bags,). We did have to buy that for our group of 11. Beds ok but could use nicer pillows. Maybe a few more blankets. I would definitely stay here again though. We had prompt answers from owner when we sent messages. We did find it nice to have a commercial ice machine in the basement to fill coolers. Had an issue with the grill but they sent someone promptly to take care of it the very next morning.

Nice clean cottage with easy access to the lake. Very few steps to the water. Outdoor space is large and is covered for those occasional rain showers. The ice machine saved us several trips to town.

This property is much better than the listing can show! It’s clean and newly redone. There are lots of places to sleep and bathrooms on each floor. The water here is amazing!!! Nice new dock. We rented a boat and had a blast! Tracy was a great host. There is also a small gravel road between the house and water which makes it nice for kids/grandkids to keep track of them not wandering out to water alone. Lots of outdoor seating in sun and shade. Fire pit. Great stay!

Illinois family visit to Norris Lake

We just returned from our stay at this cute cottage. It was clean, well appointed and looked just like the pictures. We were very close to Twin Cove marina and rented a pontoon boat from there for the day. We had a lot of fun floating in the water and going down the slide. It was a convenient trip into town for all of our needs. We even traveled by car one day to check out some of the other marinas in the area. We will definitely be back.
