Nestled in the Nantahala National Forest, just a 15 minute walk from the stunning Glen Falls waterfall and a 6 minute drive to the shops and restaurants of downtown Highlands, Glen Falls Luxury Cabin is the rare mountain retreat that offers genuine privacy and genuine togetherness in equal measure. Pet friendly and designed for families, groups of friends, and multigenerational gatherings.

The Home
Here is what makes this cabin different from every other rental in the Highlands area: the three bedrooms are placed in separate parts of the home, each with its own ensuite bathroom, private closet, and a door that closes. Rather than bedrooms stacked side by side down a hallway, the suites are spread across the home's two levels, two on the main floor and one privately tucked upstairs, so each group has their own defined space to retreat to at the end of the day.
Two additional half baths serve guests sleeping in the loft or living room, so everyone has a bathroom nearby without crossing through anyone else's space.
But when everyone is ready to come together? The open concept great room, dining area, and kitchen were made for exactly that.

The Area
You are staying in one of the most beautiful natural settings in the southern Appalachians. The Glen Falls waterfall trail begins just down the road, a 15 minute walk from the front door, and it is one of those hikes that stops people in their tracks.
Downtown Highlands, with its beloved restaurants, art galleries, boutique shops, live theater at the Highlands Playhouse, and the Bascom Center for the Visual Arts, is just a 6 minute drive away. It is a small mountain town with real character, and guests almost always say they wish they had stayed longer.
