Fill your days Swimming, Boating, Fishing, Biking, or just relaxing as you watch the Sun set after a busy day.

Special place! Fantastic location on Goose Creek and surrounding area! Highly recommend for a relaxing stay on the North Fork! Great amenities with the house. Owner was very attentive to our needs. Peaceful and relaxing vacation.

Very nice property. Helpful owner. Great location. Home is a great place to relax with family. Nothing is too far away. Vineyards, restaurants, prime beach locations all within a short drive. There is a beach within a short walk if that is preferred but our family preferred beaches on the LI Sound

The home was just perfect, beautiful setting with every amenity needed, perfect summer get away. The host Patrick was so kind as we had a family emergency and needed to extend our stay. He was quick response and was able to accommodate us.

Waterfront Gem in Southold

This is a wonderful place to stay. Beautiful, spacious front yard with gorgeous water views. Ten minute walk from the beach. Plenty of towels and beach stuff available for use. Lovely, spacious bedrooms and living rooms. Well appointed kitchen with ample seating at the kitchen table and outside table for plenty of large meals. Great central location for bike riding, visiting wineries, and checking out nearby towns. Very responsive just. We cannot recommend enough!

Great Vacation

Beautiful location, immaculate, kayaks and paddle boards on site, close to beach and good restaurants. Host extremely friendly and helpful. Everyone had a great time.

Beautiful Home and Location on water

My family enjoyed the spacious layout of the house. Close to town for supermarket. Highly recommend for a relaxing vacation with a great view.

Great stay

Serene and quiet spot very close to Southold center. Main living space is large surrounded by beautiful views. Pat was very responsive and house was very clean. Lots of game options which the children enjoyed. Nice walk to the beach using the directions provided!

Perfect

Outstanding location and beautiful home. Fantastic layout and ample seating, all with a beautiful view. We had so much fun playing lawn games, using the kayaks and sitting around the fire. We all talked about looking forward to our next visit. Truly the perfect home and location.

Excellent property location

Had great time with family and kids. Home was perfect for short relaxing time on the water, close to wineries and good restaurants. Water is perfect for young kids and kayaking. Would consider coming back.

Beautiful Creek View

This house is exactly as represented in the photos. It is a great location right on the creek, quiet neighborhood, a large yard with lawn chairs, and outside dining. The house has all the amenities you would need, comfortable beds and ample space for our combined families of 6. Both the landlord and the owner were very responsive.

Gorgeous views and perfect for young children!

The Landing is a beautiful property with everything you need for a family vacation with small children. HUGE yard, water access with small sand beach with lots of crabs (which are crew dubbed crabby island lol) plus kayaks, multiple TVs, firepit and laundry on site. Kitchen is also well stocked and there's plenty of room inside and out for family meals. Wonderful experience overall!

A Perfect Retreat

The property looked great in the photos but even better in person. Huge yard opening to onto a great water view. Spacious living area, well-stocked kitchen, short walk to a beautiful bay beach. What more could you ask for?

Location location location

Don't if I can add much more then has already been said. This is a delightful summer cottage; the furniture invites you to put your feet up. Not fancy or stuffy. The creek is glorious. We swam went claming. It was hard to leave the property

A really great property!

My family, and two great friends spent a glorious week at this beautiful place, and it’s hard to say how wonderful the hosts were, the house and grounds( and water) were, and how they think of EVERYTHING you might need. If you don’t find something right away, keep looking, because they are totally stocked, and the result is like a 5 star hotel mixed with a vacation house, in a primo location. The weather was up and down, but when a house is this comfortable, it really doesn’t depend on sunshine. We had a wonderful stay and grilled delicious food and slept like babies . Highest rating! T. Great stay at The Landing

The process was great with the responsiveness of the owner. The check in was very smooth, again, great communication with the owner. Once in the house, everything was excellent. As people said, the house was well stocked. We really appreciated the cleanliness and ease of use of all the amenities. The open floor plan was awesome. The location and views were spectacular. We enjoyed s’mores at the fire pit, grilling, listening to all the birds, kayaking, and we swam right in front everyday. There was great walking and biking in the surrounding area and the nearby beach was pristine. Thank you for a wonderful and memorable stay.

Perfect vacation cottage

We rented this cottage for a three week stay this spring. The pictures make the cottage and the property look really cute but the house is so much more. it has great personality, terrific cottage finishes, and Is stocked with everything you would need from games to great kitchen equipment to ample bedding and really comfortable furniture. The owner takes great care with it. The water are really stunning and can be seen from the walls of windows in the living room and sitting areas. If I could ever buy a cottage on Long Island this would be it!

Two Great Weeks!

Penel's house is undoubtedly the nicest home we have ever rented and the reasons are many: The setting is lovely, with a nice beach right outside the door where my grandchildren could play, kayak and skimboard; the home truly feels like a home that is equipped with everything you could want for a great vacation---- games, kayaks, excellent cooking equipment and dishware. The setting is gorgeous and peaceful and the decor of the home is perfect. This family of grandparents and parents of 12 year olds and an 8 year old could not have enjoyed it more!

A relaxing hangout for the whole family

We had a wonderful time at The Landing! My family and my sister-in-law's family, including 4 kids ages 6-12, spent two weeks there this month. Penel was easy to work with and responsive to emails and last-minute questions. The house was clean and well-maintained upon our arrival. The location is quiet, pretty and close to the beach. We also spent lots of time swimming and kayaking in the creek just steps from the door. It was great for the kids to have the freedom to wander down to the water and play in the sand or pick up crabs, while we watched from the backyard. The living room and kitchen were perfect for a group our size. And we ate almost every meal at the huge outdoor table. We hope to spend another vacation there soon!

Surprisingly wonderful location

We have found a place to return to for sure. We planned to go to Montauk, but for one reason or another we ended up looking for a house in the North Fork of Long Island. A first for us, we found what we really wanted, a peaceful area surrounded by beautiful greenery, farms, the bay and not as crowded as our original plan. The house was everything we needed. The backyard let us to the bay and had an easy put-in access for our boats. My boys loved the paddle boards we found in the garage and were for our use. The host was welcoming and accessible despite the miles distance. Every question was answered promptly with the kindest approach. The house is very well equipped and had a fabulous vibe that we enjoyed immensely. Definitely will be on repeat for us.

Panel's home is VERY comfortable and has that great FUN vibe!

Coming to the area from NC, I have seen both Forks and both ends of the swanky spectrum. For me, it's about finding the right balance of glitz and comfort. I love Penel's house because I could lounge freely, cook, walk out to the little private beach and come back without stressing out that I might ruin something. Everything is super nice like a Pottery Barn Ad but it's done the way you would if you LIVED there. It's just got it all- a gigantic dining table for large oyster roasts and a cozy corner for sipping cocktails. The yard is large and the lighted trees out back are very cool and inviting. It's just a few minutes to Greenport which is growing more than anywhere in LI. I believe there are 3 famous NYC chefs opening new restaurants there THIS SPRING AND SUMMER.... Like now! It's a great base for enjoying the Hamptons too. You can take the ferry from Greenport right into Sag Harbor and bypass ALL the traffic coming in from NY. It really is a good location. Stay in Wine Country and ferry it to "line" country. LOL. You will love Penel's place. Tons of deer and wildlife, what more could you want??

A wonderful relaxing break by the water.

What a gorgeous spot to kick back & relax. We had been travelling from Australia and been on the move for 5 weeks, so to settle into this comfy cottage was heaven. The outlook over the sound, the spacious grounds and the serenity were perfect. Even though there were only the two of us we could see that this would be a fabulous place for a family group to gather. The kitchen was well equipped and the bar b q had a beautiful view to cook by. We just loved the whole area.Trips to the various villages, islands and beaches nearby were so enjoyable, fresh farmyard produce was delicious and then we discovered the vineyards! Wow, so many lovely estates and lovely wine. We especially loved Croteaux, which was close to the house, for its delicious Rose and also Raphael vineyard for its delicious wine, antipasta platters & friendly staff. Not having visited the area before we were absolutely fascinated by the architecture. Big & small, there were so many beautiful homes, it was a pleasure just to drive by and admire them. I highly recommend The Landing, especially as a break from city life. A big thanks to Kate, our concierge who could not have been more helpful , meeting & greeting and checking back to make sure everything was fine. There are plenty of dining options in the area or you can stock up the pantry & bring some vino and just sit on the lawn & admire the view. We loved that option, so relaxing.

MY HEART SINGS WHEN I THINK OF THIS BEAUTIFUL HOME

We were blessed to stay in this beautiful home with our twin boys and my parents as part of our 2nd Honeymoon. We had already travelled through Europe and experienced many different types of holiday accommodation before we arrived at The Landing towards the end of our trip. This home and its stunning position took our breath away. It was everything that the photos had promised plus more. After moving from hotel room to hotel room it was absolute luxury to be able to spread out and all find our favourite little part of the home to chill. We loved having the well equipped kitchen where we could whip up some home cooked meals from produce we had gathered during the day. Although this is undoubtedly an ideal summer vacation house we were blessed to spend time there in winter shortly after Thanksgiving. We would come home to our warm and cozy home and thaw out from the day's elements. I'll never forget waking one morning to a dusting of snow across the lawn and beach and seeing two deer prancing along the waters edge past the house, one of those moments that makes your heart sing. We ferried to Shelter Island for dinner, another ferry trip and day trips to the various towns that make up "the Hamptons". We partook in beautiful wines with wine tasting at local wineries and soaked up the laid back and country town type atmosphere of the whole area. With pumpkins lining fences and farm stands offering in season produce we couldn't believe we were so close to Manhattan yet so far away in the differing experiences they offered. As an interior designer I really appreciated the collection of furnishings and decor items that had been assembled by the owners to provide a cozy and character filled environment. Such a lovely treat to be surrounded by pieces that had obviously been gathered over time and no doubt had their own stories to tell. We experienced all of the quintessential American food experiences with piled high pancake stacks, juicy burgers various berry pies from the local diners and cafes. We could see that every season in this stunning area would bring its own treasures and we'd love to go back and experience them all. My whole family enjoyed every part of our time in this beautiful home and all that the area had to offer. Memories of a lifetime were made with my family during our stay at The Landing. We would recommend this property to anyone wanting to experience the true local lifestyle of this beautiful part of the world.
