Loads of summer beach activities are just a short walk away from your unit. York's Wild Kingdom and Amusement Park offers activities for the kids at a reasonable all day inclusive price. Check the zoo in the morning before the animals retreat from the heat, walk home for lunch and a siesta and then walk back for the rides a little later!! If you don't want to make lunch, multiple dining options are located on the walk between your beach paradise and the park!!

Short Sands Beach is just steps away as well. The property has beach chairs, beach toys and a beach cart for your convenience. The beach area has an arcade, playground, basketball courts and a summer music series at the public gazebo.

Long Sands beach is accessible as well by 15 minute walk, 3 minute bike ride or quick ride by car. The historic Nubble Lighthouse is located less than 5 minutes by car as well between the two beach areas. For those who like to jog/run/walk, the three mile scenic roundtrip to the light house can't be beat!! The ice cream at Dunn's Ice Cream on Nubble Road is a local's and visitor's favorite!!

Nearby activities include Perkin's Cove in Ogunquit that is a scenic 10 minute ride from your beach paradise off of Shore Road. There you will find more shops, dining, deep sea fishing, scenic cruises and the famous Marginal Way. The Outlet shopping of Kittery is 10 minutes away for a rainy day activity. Even something for the men on a shopping trip as they scour the multi-level Kittery Trading Post for all their outdoors needs! LL Bean is also about an hour away as well.

Both the City of Portsmouth NH and Portland ME are less than an hour away and offer a multitude of activities, dining, historic sites and shopping opportunities as well. Water Country is an exciting waterpark 20 minutes away that offers water slides and pools for all ages. Old Orchard Beach and Saco ME also have amusement parks as well at less than a 45 minute drive away. The Portland Sea Dogs is a great night out with tickets for a family of four costing less than the cost of one ticket at Fenway Park!!
