Welcome to Double Stack on Folly Beach! This exquisite 4-bedroom, 2.5-bathroom house is the perfect choice for your dream vacation getaway. Boasting breathtaking views and easy beach access, this idyllic beachfront property promises a memorable stay for the whole family! Renovated in 2024 with new paint and hardwood floors replacing all carpet!
As you step inside, you'll be greeted by the spacious and beautifully decorated living area featuring large windows that allow plenty of natural light to illuminate the space. Sink into the plush sofas and unwind after a day under the sun, or gather around the flat-screen TV for a cozy movie night. The open floor plan allows for seamless flow between the living area, dining room, and modern kitchen, creating a welcoming and social atmosphere for your group.
The fully equipped kitchen is a haven for any aspiring chef, complete with new appliances and all the necessary utensils. Share delicious meals with loved ones at the elegant dining table. After dinner, head outside to the beachfront balcony with a glass of wine and listen to the soothing sound of crashing waves as your soundtrack.
The 2nd floor houses all 4 bedrooms. 3 of the bedrooms have beach front balcony access. The primary bedroom features a king bed and a full en-suite bathroom. Queen beds are located in the two remaining oceanfront bedrooms. The 4th bedroom has a twin set of bunk beds and a street side view. A full bathroom can be found off the 2nd floor hallway. Both bathrooms are equipped with all the necessities; including fresh towels and complimentary starter toiletry items. The pull-out sofa in the living room can accommodate 2 more guests. Everyone will have plenty of space and privacy to get ready for a day of fun in the sun!
Step outside onto the spacious deck to experience true beachfront living. A private boardwalk leads directly to the beach, providing easy access for beachcombing, swimming, or simply relaxing with your toes in the sand. Rinse off under the outdoor shower after beach activities then gather around the gas grill for a delightful barbecue feast.
Folly Beach downtown area is just a short ride away. Wander through local shops, markets (seasonal & holidays), listen to live entertainment, and eat at one of our local restaurants. All restaurants and shops are open year-round. Get out on the water to take a fishing, kayaking, paddle boarding, shelling, or dolphin watching tour from a licensed guide. Surfing lessons are available through several companies and instructors. Stroll down the Folly Beach Pier on Center Street, or find the local and tourist favorite Morris Island Lighthouse beach at the far east end of the island for wow-worthy photos!
Just a short, 25-minute drive will take you into historical, downtown Charleston to enjoy all of the charm that the Holy City has to offer. Experience world-class dining, art galleries, explore swanky boutiques, souvenir shopping along The Market, harbor views from The Battery and Waterfront Park, theater, comedy clubs, museums, grand churches, history, carriage and ghost tours, plus so much more! Customize your memorable trip to this historical city. Take the kids to the Children's Museum and the South Carolina Aquarium. Immerse yourself and the family in the Southern culture.
Parking for up to 4 vehicles is free in the driveway area. Check-in is 4:00pm and check out is 10:00am. Fresh linens and towels are provided for the maximum occupancy of the home, for 10 guests.
Double Stack has all the amenities to make your vacation one of comfort and ease. Amenities include Wi-Fi, cable TV, keyless entry, contactless check-in, central heat and A/C, washer/dryer, outdoor shower, gas grill, and modern appliances. A starter supply of toiletries will be provided. Home is non-smoking and not pet-friendly. No events allowed that exceed the maximum occupancy of the home, regardless of sleeping or visiting. Must be 25 years old or older to rent. Property is handled through a property management company and has 24-hr on-call maintenance services. **HOUSE SUPPLIES** This property is managed by a property management group. We provide a complimentary starter amenity kit to get you settled. Guests are responsible for replenishing supplies as needed during their stay. Two rolls of paper towels, 1 sponge, 1 dishwashing liquid, 3 trash bags, 3 dishwasher tabs, and 2 kitchen towels in the kitchen. Each bathroom will have 2 toilet paper rolls and at least 1 bar of soap. Full bathrooms additionally include kits with travel size products: 1 shampoo, 1 conditioner, 1 lotion bottle, and 2 makeup wipes

Outstanding location. Just a few steps to the ocean with ocean views from almost every room. Size of the home was perfect for our group of ten. If anything could be improved upon it would be the condition of the kitchen. It is a very large kitchen with great space for preparing and serving meals. However, the door to the dishwasher is broken and only half the toaster works. The space could use a little refresh. None of these minor things take away from the beauty of this property. We will definitely try to stay here again.

The view was amazing but that way the house was furnished and the kitchen where was just completely terrible. I feel like if you gave me 15 and told me to Goodwill that that’s the type of quality I would expect to stock the entire kitchen. The knives in kitchen where we’re just a joke. Very difficult for me to have a positive perspective on this place given that.

Beautiful home but has black mold
The home was beautiful, check in was a breeze. Spectacular view and the beach was wonderful! Just was1complaint black mold in 2 of the bedrooms. We decided not to use rooms made sure the a/c stayed on. Hope it gets fixed!

Our property undergoes regular inspections and professional cleanings to maintain the highest standards of cleanliness. We value the health and well-being of our guests and have never had any previous complaints of this nature. After a thorough investigation, it has been determined that there is no mold at this property. Areas with poor ventilation and high levels of moisture can sometimes lead to mildew. The housekeepers routinely clean the bathrooms to avoid this from happening. Our team could not locate any mildew. We would have been happy to have addressed your concerns while you were staying with us. Thank you for your business!

Almost perfect.
It was almost perfect. The only complaint is that the bedroom that the pictures show with 2 twin beds now has 2 toddler sized bunk beds. This did not work with our teen kids. No one was able to fit in those beds. We made it work but would have liked to have known the bed situation before we booked. Other than that it was great!

Agree with Kelly H regarding the mold (July 2024 review)
The best thing is the view. All the upstairs carpets are torn, stained and have black mold. I called Carolina One several times and had the property manager visit. He told me he has never had a complaint like mine--I see Kelly H had the same findings. The hardwoods on the 1st floor were so worn they did not need to be sanded in order to be refinished-look closely at the online pix. The sofas were visibly stained and disgusting and had caked food on them. Very disappointing accommodations.

Thank you for the feedback Michelle! Like we said in response to Kelly's review, the house has been tested and no mold was found. We will do another test and appreciate you bringing this to our attention. Again, areas prone to high levels of moisture can sometimes lead to mildew; which is not uncommon in the Lowcountry. We're glad our team was able to respond quickly every time you contacted us. Unfortunately vacation rentals tend to get a lot of heavy wear and tear. The owner is working to update the couches and flooring, but everything is clean and functioning properly. Thank you again for your business!
