My family and I stayed here for 5 days, and it was absolutely breathtaking waking up to the beautiful surroundings. The house is plenty big enough to spread out if you need space, or to just hang together in living room. We took full advantage of the outside especially the dock and private beach. Having access to the kayak and canoe made lake life the best. This house has everything you need , and can’t wait to come back again next year

Great spot,our family enjoyed it we had a great week. When staying please make sure tie up trash we had a guest Bear pick through trash it was a little scary but our fault for not making sure trash was secured

Beautiful location

Great place to swim, kayak, paddle board, and see loons. This was our second trip here, and it was as amazing as the first.

This review is drastically reduced due to VRBO's 1,500-character limit for reviews.We liked the setting, sturdy dock, canoe, grill, new roof and flooring, updated bathroom vanity and firepit. We also had pleasant email conversations with our host, Christine, who was very helpful.Unfortunately, the interior presented serious cleanliness and health concerns for us. The most serious issue was an intense musty, mold-like odor apparent immediately. During our stay, we both developed sore, itchy, red eyes and chest discomfort that we do not normally experience. A friend who visited also commented on the odor. We kept windows open beginning the second day, making the house quite cold.We found mouse droppings alongside mugs and dishes in the kitchen cabinets, which we washed before use. We also found thick dust, dirt and cobwebs under beds and elsewhere; my wife began cleaning until we realized we should not have to clean a rental ourselves. The screened porch was dirty enough that we didn't want to use it.Christine told us she was unaware of the odor and said a new moisture barrier and flooring had been installed. We can only report our experience.The odor ultimately caused us to leave early. We photographed the conditions and will post relevant photographs. We also found a working smoke detector sitting on a bedroom dresser rather than mounted.Christine took our concerns seriously and refunded the two unused days of our rental.

We appreciate the positive comments about the setting, dock, amenities, and updates to the property. However, we respectfully disagree with several of the claims made in this review and feel it does not fairly represent our home or our efforts as a host. Especially since you stayed 6 whole days before making these complaints. Prior to this stay, we had not been made aware of the odor or conditions described. I was even there myself with family and friends two days before arrival. We take the care and maintenance of our property seriously and continually make improvements to provide a comfortable experience for our guests. While we understand that individual experiences and perceptions can differ, we do not believe all of the statements in this review accurately reflect the condition of the home. There is no mold in our home. We replaced the flooring in two thirds of the house this past spring, which included ripping up the old flooring and no mold was found. We even installed a moisture/sound barrier before putting down the new flooring. Throughout our communication, we remained responsive to the guest's concerns and ultimately refunded the two unused nights as a gesture of goodwill.

Tournament Weekend

We had a great stay at Look Out Point! Christine went above and beyond to accommodate our group for a long fishing weekend. The house was perfect for us, and the scenery/location was great!

Great Lake house!

The house is on a great part of the lake and has its own private dock — bring your own boat or rent nearby in Melvin Village. We enjoyed lakeside picnic meals and canoeing around the nearby island. The beds were comfy and the house was as described. Definitely will be looking to stay here on our next trip up.

Cottage on Winnipesaukee

Our family had a wonderful time! The cottage was as described and the views were amazing! We loved to watch the sunset and fish and hang out on the dock. Christine was very easy to communicate with. Thank you so much for sharing your cottage!

Amazing experience

We took our first family vacation with our 14 month old, and this property did not disappoint! The house was immaculate and the property even better. The dock was perfect for relaxing and the yard with a beach to walk into the water added the extra safety we were looking for! The views were phenomenal. We can’t wait to go back!

Beautiful property

This lake cottage is absolutely Idyllic. The owner was quick to respond to my questions. It is just far enough off the beaten path, but close enough to not feel stranded. Spent most of my time out on the dock fishing or in the lake paddling around, so the private dock and beach were big draws for me. It's nestled in a quiet little cove, so the bigger faster boats are much further out. Perfect for small craft like canoes, kayaks, etc...

This lakefront cabin was the perfect setting for our stay with our daughter and 5 grandchildren. It accommodated us perfectly with sleeping spaces. The house had everything we needed and more. The owner was very easy to communicate with and answered quickly. The absolute best was the quiet location on a wonderful part of the lake with the dock and the floating dock being the main attraction for the grandchildren ( ages 10-14) They spent all day on the water on the rowboat, or the paddle boards. The location is slightly away from the speeding boats, which made it safer for kids to play. The fire pit at night was a great ending after a long day in the water. The location to either town was about a 20 minute drive. We visited the Castle in the Clouds, which was beautiful and informative. We saw turtles near the dock, frogs croaked to us at night, the cry of the loons serenaded us during sunrise coffee. Everyone voted to return again!!Thank you for a great stay. Maria Malvern,PA

At Peace on the Lake

We had a great time on the lake and the accommodations were perfect for our group. Everything was as advertised and the check-in/check-out process was smooth. great getaway

Very "lak-ey" fun cabin. It's close to other cabins and docks but for us -- a few old buddies looking for a quick NH getaway for fishing and hiking - it was about perfect. Loon calls and outdoor fire at night hit the spot.

Cozy, classic Winni

Great location at the top of Lake Winni, where the vibe is nature, relaxation, and nostalgia. Great dock for a boat, with a boat launch right up the road, so for people with boats, it couldn't be easier. Christine was very responsive, and easy to work with. We enjoyed the firepit, and great view! So happy we stayed here.

Wonderful Vacation!!!

Everything we could of asked for and more!!! Three generations on our family trip and no one wanted to leave. Christine was excellent with communication and helped with any questions we had. We cannot wait to go again next year!!!

Quintessential Lakehouse

This home was exactly what our family was looking for. The house is in a quiet cove with beautiful views, the pictures do not due the views justice. I woke up each morning and sat on the Adirondack chairs on the dock and enjoyed the peacefulness of the water. The dock was plenty big for the pontoon boat we rented. The fire pit allowed us to roast marshmallows and the beach area was perfect for our 3 & 6 year olds. Christine was very easy to get ahold of and check in was simple. The house provided the rustic lakehouse feel we were looking for. Air conditioners in the bedrooms came in handy on a couple of hot evenings. Overall I couldn’t have been happier with the rental and I look forward to planning another stay in the future.

Nice relaxing getaway

This was our first fishing trip to Lake Winnipesaukee. The cabin was very nice and clean. The place is located on a much quieter side of the lake. Christine was very helpful friendly and accommodating.
