The Bend West Virginia

Everything you could want. All wrapped in one charming cabin package. A stunning view, a glowing fireplace, a comfy leather couch with a fluffy blanket, cabin wood and stone textures, mountain modern decor, and plenty of space to stretch out.



The house is located on top of a mountainside overlooking the New River Gorge National Park. Though it feels remote, it is still only minutes away from National Park attractions and downtown Fayetteville life.



Sleeps 14, with 7 beds, 4 baths, 2 pull out couches, 2 cribs and 2 kitchens. The separate guest suite allows for multiple families to stay while still having room and privacy.



There are two floors with floor-to-ceiling windows giving a view of the gorge from everywhere in the house. The multi-level deck with a firepit is the perfect place to relax with a cup of coffee, cocoa or favorite libation. Even the front yard provides opportunities for fun with lots of space to walk, run, or play.

The Bend cabin was amazing! The house is fully stocked with all necessities (TP, paper towels, garbage bags, detergent, etc) and extras like coffee, tea and condiments. The game room was so much fun, all kinds of games! The house has plenty of room for all guests! The owners were also very responsive!And the view off a beautiful new deck can’t be beat!!

The host was great, the place was fantastic. The view from the deck is better than from the NPS visitor center. It’s the best private patio I’ve ever seen. Everyone loved it and had a great time.

Gorgeous view overlooking the New River Gorge. The house had everything we needed to cook meals. Perfect location and setup for a large group. The host was very responsive and easy to work with. I would highly recommend staying here!

I gotta tell you, my husband and have travelled a lot and we treat our children and grandkids a week each third or fourth week of July each year. Last year we’re had two, one at cape May and the other in Sequioa National Park in California…. But this…this is so engulfed by nature and beauty, quiet and unencumbered by noise, humans or outside world disputes. You have a real treasure here. The house is so perfect for all 10 of us, three generations. Almost heaven, WestVirginia.

Yearly family vacation

We enjoyed the beautiful views and spacious house. Game room was great for the kids. The owners were very responsive to our needs and helpful with information before we arrived and during our stay.

The whitewater rafting crew

The Bend is magnificent!! If you stay there once…you’ll want to return. This gorgeous home is so clean and fully stocked with more accoutrements than you can imagine. And did I mention the mountain and river view? Well you might need to sit down because it’ll blow your mind! The hosts are the Bombdiggity…so helpful and fun to talk with. Overall experience…..we’re coming back for more! You should too!

Beautiful property, spacious and very well appointed. Great place for a group of adults because there are plenty of Queen size beds which is not common with vrbos. Lots of Living Room space and common sitting areas. Fabulous location with easy access to sights. Stunning views of the New River Gorge

Never wanted to leave

We loved the place. Everything we needed was provided. We especially appreciated the new ping pong table and the trekking poles.Brian and Kelly were great hosts. The views are spectacular.

Excellent views and home

We completed our second year at this house and booking year 3 shortly. We love this house for all the space, amazing views and kid friendly set up. The house is fully stocked with all the kitchen items you could need, coffee supplies, crib for a baby, and so many fun toys/games, towels and more. The views are amazing and the house is secluded/quiet. It’s a quick drive to places like Pies n Pints, grocery store, and outdoor activities/hiking. We’ve never been in the warmer months but there seems to be a lot to do close by. Kelly and Ryan are very responsive and helpful.

Very beautiful house with awesome view.

I had a fantastic stay at this house! The view was absolutely stunning. The host was very responsive and attentive, ensuring I had everything I needed. I also loved how all the closets and storage spaces were labeled, making it super easy to find things. Highly recommend this place for a comfortable and enjoyable stay!

Amazing views!

We enjoyed our stay here while spending time visiting the New River Gorge area. The mountaintop views from the property are stunning and can be enjoyed from inside through floor to ceiling windows and outside on the muti-level deck. The property is spacious, offering 2 living areas, one on the main level and the other upstairs. We would return in the future!

Great place to get away with friends!

The Bend is the perfect property to get away with friends. The view is postcard perfect from the back deck. The location to hiking and Adventures on the Gorge makes it ideal for either staying on property or making a short drive for adventure. The house has ample space for everyone to spread out or gather in the Great Room area for dinner and conversation. Thanks for a fantastic weekend.

Take Me Home

Great experience at The Bend. The house is very well stocked with everything you need for a comfortable stay. We had four adults and six kids, and there was plenty of room. We could have had four more people very comfortably. The view was exceptional, and the location is a short drive at all the local activities. The owners had a lightning fast response to our one question about the WiFi and got us squared away in minutes. These owners are super organized and great hosts.

A “gorge”out view of the new

The view is spectacular. We had sunshine and a couple of inches of snow. Friends from TX got to make a snowman and have snowball fights on the huge deck. Inside views from the house are amazing. Like my kids said, it’s their favorite place because of the view. The house was well equipped with just about everything you need. Can’t wait to come back in the fall!!
