The house was really nice & clean and very comfortable. It’s in a great location - only a block away from the closet beach access. Also, just far enough from the causeway to feel a bit removed, but close enough to walk if you want to find something to do. Ben was a great host and we’ll definitely keep The Sandbagger on our list for the next beach getaway.

Perfectly located, perfectly comfortable!

The property was perfectly located for a family wedding. We were 1/2 block from the ocean, and within a short walk or drive from wedding-related events. The owner was responsive at every turn, and made sure we had what we needed. We'd definitely stay at Sandbagger again!

Great Stay!

Great place to stay, great owner, great location. Nice big spacious house with plenty of room for everyone. We enjoyed our stay and had no problems with checking in/out and had GREAT communication with the owner. Definitely recommend this property to our friends and family and we will be staying here again in the near future! Loved the proximity to the beach being able to walk right over to public access but very convenient for us to have the boat dock on the canal. Very close to restaurants and activities.

Nice weekend

We enjoyed our stay. The property has a wonderful location, but is showing its age. We had some electrical issues due to needed kitchen repairs. Ben was very responsive. The home’s layout was very comfortable for our group of seven.

I have a plan to upgrade the paint, decks, ceilings etc. December is the true off-season on the island, so I had to wait until then. The kitchen was the result of a leak from the upstairs, which was unexpected. Anyway, please keep THE SANDBAGGER in mind for your next venture to the island. Thank you for your stay & have a Merry Christmas.

Perfect location!

The sandbagger is in the perfect location, 2 min walk to the beach .25 mile walk to the park, sunset slush/ice cream, and putt-putt. Perfect house and location for the kiddos. Having the waterway in the back yard and a dock to fish and play off of was a plus also. The host, Ben was super easy to get in touch with and accommodating. We will definitely be back! Highly recommend for some much needed R&R.

10/10, amazing time!

This house was perfect for our family beach weekend. We had multiple adults and 2 babies, with plenty of room for everyone. Our host, Ben, was so helpful and responsive! The house is very close to the beach, has a beautiful back porch view, and a nice closed in porch as well. We couldn’t have asked for more. We can’t wait to come back!

Great location and nice property

Our family stayed here last week and really enjoyed our vacation. The home is nice and in a great location. Short walk to the beach. The home has most of the amenities one would expect of a vacation home. The owner was very responsive when I shared with him that it did not have working smoke detectors. I imagine they have since been replaced. Overall our family had a nice vacation and will stay at the Sandbageer again.

Outstanding

We had the best time during our vacation stay. The host along with the property were absolutely outstanding. Everything was very clean and organized. The host went over and beyond to make sure we had exactly what we needed during our stay. They even went to the extent of having a grocery order delivered for us, waiting on the doorstep upon our arrival. We attended our first oyster festival during our stay and the location could not have been any better. It was perfectly located away from any noise, but within a short walking distance to everything. We will be booking here again for our next OIB vacation.

Best time ever!

This property was so amazing! Benjamin was the best host I have ever had. He had extremely quick responses to questions I had and was accommodating. This home was huge with three master suites all with comfortable beds. The Florida room is spectacular with beautiful views! The fenced in back yard was perfect for our small children and large pup. The beach was a very short walk across the street and down the walkway. The beach was clean and beautiful! Thank you for the visit Ben! Don’t miss out on this home, we will for sure book again.

Perfect Canal-Side Getaway Just Steps from the Beach

We absolutely loved our stay at Sandbagger on Ocean Isle! The house was everything we hoped for and more—beautifully maintained, spacious, and thoughtfully equipped with all the amenities we could possibly need. The bedrooms were comfortable and well-appointed, making it easy for everyone to relax and feel right at home.One of the best features was the canal right in the backyard—it gave us a peaceful view each morning and a fun spot to watch the neighbors and kayaks go by. The location couldn’t have been better—just half a block from the beach with incredibly easy access, so we were never far from the ocean. The home included a golf cart and that was a huge plus, making quick trips to the beach or around the island a breeze, and parking was plentiful and convenient.From the fully stocked kitchen to the inviting living spaces, every detail of the house made our vacation effortless and enjoyable. The owner was wonderfully responsive and helpful, answering questions quickly and making sure our stay was perfect from start to finish.We left with so many great memories and can’t wait to come back. Sandbagger is truly a gem on Ocean Isle

We have a group of friends and family that go annually to teh coast for a few days of relaxation, fishing and just general enjoyment. Over the years we have stayed in many different properties yet we all agree that the Sandbagger has been our all around favorite. Clean, well maintained, spacious and perfectly located in relation to the local attractions. I love the pet friendly atmosphere that allowed me to bring along my best friend. Absolutely enjoyed everything about the stay here and plan to return. I wholeheartedly recommend this home to anyone with a desire to have a hassle free and enjoyable vacation with family and friends. Did I mention the ammenities? This place is provisioned well. I had more ladies along thn I had life jackets but I was able to borrow a couple from the storage and not even skip a beat. Bicycles? Yes there are bicycles and plenty of long streets to ride them on. The walk to the ocean in about 5 minutes (faster if you're not older like all of us) Can't say enough about how much we enjoyed ourselves during our short stay. Planning a longer stay next year. Great working with the owner Ben, quick response and very helpful to us when we had any questions. Give this property a try, you won't regret it.
My bestest buddy Coco really enjoyed his first trip to the coast.
