Pull up to this cozy little renovated bungalow in the heart of Palmer Lake. Just a short distance from scenic hiking and unique (and delicious!) local restaurants, and just a half mile from Palmer Lake, where you can enjoy fishing, kayaking, paddle boarding and more, you'll love this home away from home.

Once inside, you'll find updated finishes, a full kitchen, comfortable beds, a dining table for 6, board games for the family and so much more. Out back you'll love grilling or relaxing in the hot tub. Or, you might enjoy endless hot water from our tankless water heater.

Palmer Lake is such a wonderful little town, so inviting and memorable that you might end up calling it your second home after just one visit.

It was a very nice house. Three adults fit just fine, although one had to sleep in the bunk beds room.

Wonderful time in Palmer Lake

We had a great time in the Palmer Lake/Colorado Springs area. The Hiker's Hideaway was beautiful and cozy - just the right size for our family of four. It was very clean and well-maintained. We really enjoyed relaxing in the hot tub, too. Shelly even checked in with us to make sure everything was ok. Thanks for a lovely stay!

This house has been one of the best I've stayed in. I brought my husband and In-Laws from Upstate NY to see my hometown. The house has AC and even some backup units if they were needed. The kitchen was truly stocked with pots and pans. The rooms were comfortable and clean. The property was tidy. The hottub was nice and relaxing! I didnt need to talk to Shelly much but when I did she was very courteous! Price was perfect and I will keep the propert bookmarked for the next time I come home!

Fantastic property! The host ensures you have everything you could need and more! Our 11- and 9-year-olds enjoyed the book book, puzzles, and games. We had plenty of room to spread out. The location is beautiful and convenient! We met up with friends in Monument in just a short 10 minute drive. There are a couple of parks close by which our kids enjoyed, as well as the deer who roam with little fear of the humans passing by. We didn’t need it, but I noticed a pack and play in one of the closets (which others might find useful). Check in could not have been easier and Shelly was super quick to respond to the questions I had. Finally, the hot tub was such a nice little bonus! The chilly evenings spent in the warm water after a day of running around was perfection! My advice is to turn off the patio lights and take in the night sky! It’s so dark and you can see so many stars!

Peaceful retreat

Parking needs to be clarified. It should not be advertised as available parking. We were told only one vehicle could park on the property, our particular unit had to parking passes in it and that’s what we used. We stayed Dec 23-26th so it wasn’tparticularly busy, in fact it was very quiet and the views were beautiful! The hottub was right below us and very easy to access. It was checked and cleaned every morning..

Hi Kim, thank you so much for your five star review. I’m sorry parking was confusing for you. Just to clarify for future guests, we have three parking spaces available and no passes are required. We have a long single lane driveway that fits two cars and a spot in front of the lawn on the street. Thank you again! We loved hosting you.

Palmer Lake

Shelly was quick in the booking process and allowing us to check in a couple hours early. upon arrival we were greeted with fresh cut flowers and a quaint little house! After our first night there was someone there to maintenance the hot tub which was not communicated to us. We also had to ask for necessities like Propane, shovel, salt to make sure we could get out in the middle of the storm. The home was alot smaller than the photos but adorable on the inside. We would come back to the area again, but would recommend letting guests know of area attractions and set them up a little better. thanks for the stay

I’m so glad the guest appreciated the early checkin and warm touches to welcome them. We had an unseasonably early three day storm. Once made aware that the shovel and salt were not where they typically are(front closet), we drove them over in the storm and shoveled the drive for the guest. We also brought propane for the grill. We have weekly maintenance of the jacuzzi to keep it fresh and clean for our guests. They made it out even during the storm. We only heard very kind things from the guest during their stay and are saddened and don’t feel deserving of a 3 star review.
