Escape to this peaceful one-bedroom, one-bath cabin nestled on over two fully fenced acres along Florida’s most scenic river — the Withlacoochee. The cabin features a cozy bedroom with closet, a full bath, and an electric air mattress for additional guests or children. Enjoy stunning river views from the living room and both decks — one perched right at the river’s edge.
Need to stay connected? Just plug in your laptop or fire up the WiFi.
Your dogs will love roaming the shaded trails throughout the property, and there’s even a separate fenced paddock near the cabin — perfect for guests traveling with horses. Horse-friendly trails begin just down the road.
The cabin is located on native wooded acreage and comes fully furnished with tasteful mission-style décor. You’ll find everything you need:

My family has been coming to this sweet cabin for many years and have so many great memories here. It’s quiet and peaceful with many things to do if you love nature and all of the outdoor activities. Rob and Mike are great hosts, very kind and responsive.

This was our second stay at this lovely cabin it is very spacious and so relaxing even the dogs enjoyed the stay we will definitely be booking again and again when possible. Also my husband thought he left something in the cabin and the host responded quickly and was nice enough to check for us which was greatly appreciated. Thank you for allowing us to enjoy your beautiful space

Best vacation I’ve ever had with my pets. The pictures don’t do it justice! We got to see some wild pigs across the waterway. Maybe 20-30 of them. Thanks again Rob and Mike.

The perfect place to unplug and get away from it all. This property is set up so thoughtfully to take full advantage of its waterfront location. There are several different areas to relax with your coffee and look out over the water, into the woods, or enjoying the fire pit. If the weather is warm there’s also kayaks and a canoe available for adventuring. I unexpectedly had to take a video call for work and the internet struggled with such a high level of bandwidth requirement but that is not what a property this tranquil and beautiful is meant for. The owners were super friendly and made sure we knew they were available for anything we might need but they have everything you could need ready for you when you get there. This was truly a relaxing and peaceful getaway.

It really is Paradise

We've stayed at Paradise before. I think this was either our third or fourth time. We love it there peaceful and calm we bring our dog sky which really likes it there. We go over there to ride our mountain bikes they have great wood trails for bicyclers they also have great trails for road bicyclers. Perfect

Feels like cabin in the woods

Though the cabin is near other houses, you feel like you are miles away from anyone. Yard is fenced in so it was nice to let my dog off leash. Highly recommend for a get away.

I've stayed over the past 12 years a few times and it's always the same relaxing feeling. Town is fine with plenty of good restaurants and a grocery store. The cabin is a 1BR and rustic, but everything you need is there and plenty of cleared outdoor space. Lastly, I took my dogs and the property is fully fenced. If you have a small dog everywhere is fenced except the bottom of the front gate (which is pretty far away), otherwise you're fine. Both AC do need a tune up.

Cabin of Paradise

We love coming here. The owners are so welcoming and go out of the to make sure you have a great stay. It is so peaceful here and we love it most because we can bring our two dogs and they can run free. We will be back again soon. Thanks yall for a great mini vacation.

Relaxing paradise

My husband and I stood here for an anniversary weekend and it was awesome!! It was just us and our fur babies and it felt like we were a million miles away from civilization. The tranquility of it all was amazing. The fur babies loved the fact that they could roam around leash free, or just relax under the warm sun. We definitely recommend this place for anyone who just want to unwind and spend time together. We will DEFINITELY be back!! Thank you Rob and Mike for being just awesome hosts!!

Fantastic stay

We were enchanted with the house that seems to be in the trees, and the property was heaven for our dog to roam. Rob and Mike have left a very interesting and informative booklet. We took advantage of their hiking selections which are very close to the property. We'd love to visit again!

Nice Getaway!!!

This is a nice getaway location. Overall, this property allows you to get away from the hustle and bustle to relax. I did see pet hair on the rugs, but it was not overwhelming. This property is well kept, has a grill, fire pit, and kayaks.

Gem on the river

My boyfriend and I had a wonderful time! Live the rustic setting, the driveway through the trees to where you can’t see the property from the road is my ideal type of place! It’s right on the river. We spent time fishing, hanging around the fire pit, relaxing, and cooking on the grill. Would definitely return for another weekend here!

perfect getaway

from the moment we went through the gate and saw the driveway ahead we were enchanted. A true hidden treasure awaited. a treehouse cabin well appointed with all we needed. great outdoor spaces and a dock on the river. Rustic and so easy to just decompress and relax. great hiking in the area as well. Rob and Mike were great hosts and responded to all questions quickly. Highly recommend their place!!!!!

Riverside treehouse

We had an amazing time staying here. Our kids and dogs really loved the property and being so close to the river. It was a cute little cabin with everything we needed to cook and be comfortable. The fire pit was great to sit around. We really enjoyed our time here.

The Story Behind the River House
Rob and Mike originally purchased the River House as a peaceful getaway — drawn to the beauty of the Withlacoochee River, the surrounding forest, and the nearby Rails to Trails bike path. At first, they visited just once a month, but it didn’t take long to fall in love with the area and everything it had to offer.
A few years later, they began searching for a permanent home nearby that could support their growing love of animals. They found the perfect spot: a 60-acre ranch in Sumter County, not far from the River House. Today, at Lucky U Ranch they raise goats, horses, chickens, donkeys, and cattle — living their dream on their own slice of heaven.
Although they’ve settled into ranch life, Rob and Mike couldn’t bear to part with the River House completely. Instead, they chose to share it with others by offering it as a vacation rental — so travelers can experience the same peace, beauty, and adventure that first drew them in.

The River House property features a winding trail that loops through native woods, shaded almost entirely by native oak trees. As you stroll, you might spot gopher tortoises peeking out from the brush — curious and calm, like longtime residents of this peaceful haven.
The trail leads you toward the river, where two decks offer stunning views of the Withlacoochee — Florida’s most scenic waterway. One deck sits right at the river’s edge, perfect for morning coffee, sunset watching, or simply soaking in the quiet flow of nature. There’s also a dock where you can launch the two kayaks or the three-person canoe for an adventure downstream.
Whether you’re walking beneath the oaks, paddling through cypress reflections, or sitting by the fire pit under the stars, the property has a mystical, grounding feel that’s hard to put into words — but easy to fall in love with.
