Inside, you'll find a well-equipped open-concept kitchen that seamlessly connects to the inviting living and dining areas, making meal prep and gathering together a breeze. Decorated with charming "Up North" touches, this Northern Michigan retreat exudes warmth and character. The living room, featuring a cozy gas fireplace, is perfect for relaxing and unwinding.

Step outside onto the welcoming covered porch to enjoy the peaceful surroundings. Use the provided charcoal grill as you listen to the gentle calls of loons over the water. In the summer, gather around the fire pit, enjoy a picnic at the table, or have fun with the tree swingā€”there's plenty to enjoy! A lovely boardwalk winds through the wetland to reach the water, adding to the rustic charm.

Lake Bellaire sits just east of Lake Michigan, offering all-sport fun with swimming, boating, kayaking, water-skiing, fishing, and more. As part of the Elk River Watershed Chain of Lakes, itā€™s known as a true "Fishermanā€™s Paradise.ā€

Plus, itā€™s a simple drive to charming towns like Alden and Bellaire, where you can enjoy delicious meals, pick up groceries, or browse unique local shops around the lakes.

Rating Details: The property manager was very helpful. The vacation rental was spotless. I was very happy with the location. I was very satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Very cute and charming cabin snuggled in the woods on the lake. Have to walk down the boardwalk to see the lake, but still worth the time staying here. Cabin is decorated nicely and is very comfortable. Only recommendation would be to change out the door pad with key inside to a keyless door pad for easier access. It was difficult to open and put back into place. Also, would recommend placing mirrors in each room as there is only one bathroom. Rental property communicated very well with me, Excellent customer service. Neighbors are on both sides, but area is very quiet and really enjoyed the firepit. Could see next door at their firepit, but overall, it did impact our enjoyment what so ever. would definitely rent again!

Cute and cozy cabin. Only issue was that the door should have a keypad for easier access. Door box with key was difficult to get open. Outdated. Was quiet and peaceful and very comfortable. Would recommend having mirrors in each room as there is only one bathroom. Was decorated nicely in cabin decor! Communication was excellent and would definitely stay again!

We loved having our dog and boat with us on vacation! We ventured out to Torch Lake, which was about an hour's boat ride, but it was totally worth it!! Having a dock at the house was great. The house felt and smelled like a cabin, but it completely served its purpose. I would have loved to be able to see the water from the house, but not a long walk to the dock to sit and watch the sunrise. For the price the place is great!

Peaceful cozy cabin by the lake

Cute, clean, cozy, quiet and very comfortable cabin. The cabin has everything one might need. We enjoyed the lake, reading on the porch and visiting Bellaire and Alden. Great communication with the property management co. Definitely reccommend..

Charming cottage

We recently had the pleasure of staying at a charming wood cottage near the lake, and I canā€™t recommend it highly enough! From the moment we arrived, the professional management team made us feel welcomed and well taken care of. Their attention to detail was evident in every aspect of our stay. The cottage itself is a delightful retreat, beautifully crafted with rustic wood interiors that create a warm and cozy atmosphere. The views of the lake were simply breathtaking, providing the perfect backdrop for our morning coffee and evening relaxation. The location is ideal for nature lovers, with plenty of opportunities for hiking, fishing, and kayaking just a stoneā€™s throw away. We took advantage of the nearby trails and spent hours exploring the serene surroundings. Inside, the cottage was equipped with everything we needed for a comfortable stay. The kitchen was well-stocked, making it easy to prepare meals, and the living area was perfect for unwinding after a day of adventure. Overall, our stay at this wood cottage was nothing short of magical. The combination of stunning natural beauty, a well-maintained property, and exceptional management made for an unforgettable experience. We are already planning our return visit! Very Tranquil

Very nice location and cabin. In the wood and on the water. Perfect place for quite and relaxation and close enough to town for fun and good food. Our stay would have been better if the dock had been put out. Only complaint is that the water pressure in the shower was so low it barely rinsed the soap off.

Cozy Cabin

The cabin was cute and my family enjoyed the dock and having access to the lake from the property. Water pressure a little low in the shower but wasn't a big deal. We will definitely book again if ever in the area.

Great Stay!

Based on last years reviews I was expecting this to not be very clean but liked that we could bring our dog. We had zero complaints about how clean it was so were pleasantly surprised. Maybe new housekeeping since last year. Other reviews really helped with understanding the dock area and boardwalk so that was as expected. We had a great stay!

Perfect spot to unwind and detach. Hunting for Petoskey stones on the shores of Lake Michigan became our go to activity. Highly recommend a trip up to Charlevoix. The 4 days we spent wasnā€™t enough!

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: I was a little concerned because some of the other reviews mentioned it being dirty but we didn't find that to be the case. It was fine. The shower is a pretty dated and the water pressure leaves much to be desired but the beds were comfy. Loved being able to be on the water but it is a little bit of a hike from the cabin to the actual lake but the dock is great. It is mucky around the dock and there's no beach but if you have a boat you can drive over to the Grass River sandbar pretty quickly. All in all, we thought it was perfectly fine for the amount we paid. Loved having 3 bedrooms.

Beautiful location

The cabin was cute and the location was nice. The cabin needs a deep clean and a few repairs. Though on a lake, there is no where to swim from the waters edge. Grand kids were too scared to go in from the dock. Very disappointed about that.

Cozy Cottage

The cottage is cute and cozy, very rustic feeling. We were looking forward to being on the lake but unfortunately is is not a good area to swim. The water is extremely mucky and we wish this was put in information about cottage. There could also be some updates with the TV. Was not set up properly for use and no way to stream anything. Only a vcr and dvd player with no movies provided to use. Great place to stay is you wanna see the beautiful lake but not go in. We also appreciated that this cottage was pet friendly and close to downtown Bellaire.

Great location!

We enjoyed the location the most, halfway between downtown Bellaire and Dockside in Torch. Iā€™ll echo the previous reviews that the the cabin was not as tidy as the other places we stay on our yearly visits to Bellaire. It wasnā€™t dirty but could use a good cleaning under and around furniture, under the beds and have dog hair vacuumed off furniture. If you are looking for a rustic up north vacation, this would be great for you!
