Just to clarify a few things: I did adjust my cleaning schedule to have the house ready by 3:00 PM, as listed, and I was happy to hear you arrived around 3:45. The upper dishwasher rack was damaged by a prior guest just before your arrival — the replacement part arrived two days later. While still functional, I understand it required extra care. I also offered to bring over a dish drying rack immediately, and I’m sorry if that wasn’t convenient for you at the time. Regarding the pet policy: I did inform you of the pet fee when the reservation was made back in February. That said, your dog was an absolute sweetheart — very well-behaved! Lastly, I’ll make sure to speak with the pool service about keeping the cover properly attached to the roller. Thank you again for staying, and for being such respectful and kind guests. Thank you for your stay, Sonya. I appreciate that you left the home clean and followed the checkout instructions. I did want to clarify a few things for future transparency. I let you know in advance that the washing machine had stopped working and that the technician needed to order a part, which would not arrive during your short 2-day stay. The day after check-in, I was informed that your brother brought a service dog. I understand and respect the legal protections for service animals, and I do accept dogs in general. However, I would have appreciated advance notice so I could prepare the home accordingly and ask any necessary questions. After your departure, I found multiple holes dug in the backyard and scratch marks on the stair railing. I let you know about this not to ask for compensation, but simply to keep communication open and honest as I maintain the home for future guests. I’m sorry if this message upset you, as that was not my intention. Wishing you all the best moving forward.
