We spent a week at this property during our holidays in December (2013). We (I was traveling with my Boyfriend and his Family) had a great time and I would highly recommend this property to anyone looking for a relaxing, fun & luxurious vacation.
The location of the house is perfect. You are right on a beautiful, private sandy beach that actually stretches for miles. Even though we were staying here over the Christmas holidays, we hardly ever saw others on the beach. We swam in the Ocean, right in front of the property, every day. We even tried Boogieboarding in the waves!
The pool area was also amazing for swimming in. It is large enough to swim laps...although I mainly used it to relax in while enjoying a cerveza (the pool has a swim up bar!).
The house is beautifully designed. It is open, bright and very clean. The kitchen and main room are spacious and there are several seating areas throughout. The large granite island in the kitchen was great for eating at during breakfast and the dinning room table was perfect for dinner. We normally chose to eat lunch at the outdoor table closer to the pool, so we could take in the sunshine and enjoy the view of the Ocean.
My favourite part of the house was the bedroom suite. I was staying in one of the two Master Bedrooms. From our room we had an amazing view of the pool area and garden, and we could even see out to the Ocean! During the day we always kept the doors open to enjoy the view and sunshine, and at night we chose to have the staff close the roll-away doors to give us greater privacy. The private washroom in our master suite was clean and stylish with an open design.
This property is located about a 15 min taxi ride from the town. During our one week stay we went into Puerto Escondido on several days to go shopping/visit the market, as well as enjoy the local restaurants and bars. On two separate days we took surf lessons at La Punta, Playa Zicatela (so much fun!). We also drove into the Mountains and went on a hike to a breathtaking waterfall! My personal favourite activity was going dolphin watching (we did a tour with Omar's Sport Fishing and Dolphin Watching), where we actually got so close that a school of dolphins was swimming directly beside and under our boat!
