The vacation rental was somewhat dirty.

On initial arrival the property looked amazing. It appeared to be clean and in a good location. We would have liked to be closer to a larger choice of amenities such as Restaurants and Pubs nearer to the beach (and/or within walking distance) will be something we will be sure to stress the next time we reserve. The overall cleanliness was adequate but certainly not up to rental standard. The common living space although looked very tidy, was cleaned around the furniture but not under or behind. The fridge was not properly cleaned and it had a broken door shelf, the stove top required scouring. There was no coffee maker upon arrival on a Friday and we were expected to wait until Monday to have one delivered. The toaster could use replacement as not all the elements are working. The windows of the unit were very dirty and streaked. Television had no cable and no instruction as to how to work it. We were not initially given a key to the pool although it was open and frequented by other patrons. The ground floor was noisy. Every movement on the second floor above was echoed down to our unit. The main bathroom vanity cupboard above the sink was dirty and smeared with globs of tooth paste. The beds were sheeted incorrectly and had to be re-made. The main bedroom closet was cluttered and was in need of a vacuum and dusting. The main bathtub was not draining very well. The window shades were very dirty and bent/buckled. The second bathroom floor was sticky and had to be washed right away. We were not disappointed in our stay, but the presentation and cleanliness could use some improvement.
