In Vermont's fabled Northeast Kingdom, the sunny, spacious Annex at Bullfrog Hall is set amongst the grand homes on St. Johnsbury's most beautiful street. This historic district is listed on the National Register of Historic Places. The apartment has a private, separate entrance located on the second floor. The decor is a traditional Vermont country style with a mix of new and antique furniture. It's a bright, light one-bedroom apartment with a well-equipped kitchen. The living room has a full-size pull out couch. Enjoy a cup of coffee, tea, or glass of wine on the deck overlooking the garden during the warm months. If you're coming for a romantic getaway, skiing, biking, hiking, leaf-peeping, working, or antiquing, the Annex is centrally located! Walk to shops, restaurants, the Fairbanks Museum, St. Johnsbury Athenaeum, Catamount Arts, and St. Johnsbury Academy. Bike to the Lamoille Valley Rail Trail. An easy drive to Burke Mountain, Kingdom Trails, Jay Peak, & Canada! Minutes from I-91 and I-93.

This was a beautiful place to stay. It does have steps up to the luvibg space. It was so clean and welcoming. I felt like i was home with all the nice touches.

The property was exactly as shown in the photos and as described/advertised...the property is very comfortable and homey. The hosts couldn't have been nicer or more helpful. Communication was outstanding. And the tour of the garden made the visit even better. The hosts really make you feel welcome. We hope we have a chance to go back.

This is an absolutely lovely apartment. Loved the (authentic) vintage/antique vibe and furnishings. Although I am not a gourmet cook, I enjoyed perusing the many cookbooks on the shelves. The hosts provided such thoughtful touches. Finding milk in the refrigerator to go with the selection of teas and coffee pods was a great surprise and so appreciated. I am a gardener, and I really enjoyed the stairway landing that overlooked the amazing vegetable garden, and also had fun checking out the native plantings in the gardens along the drive.For those who enjoy a very firm mattress you will be thrilled with this one!

So good!!

Beautiful upstairs unit of an amazing historical house, perfect location in Saint Johnsbury, walkable distance to everything. Self-check in was simple and flexible. We were welcomed with a little treat, and the host prepared their own guidebook of the town. We were staying here on a skiing trip to Burke mountain, and it was a very convenient location for that as well. Highly highly recommend!

Quaint and comfortable

We stayed at Bullfrog Annex one night on our way from Quebec to Massachusetts, and wished we could have stayed longer. It's the upper floor of a historical Vermont house, and abounds in charming wooden furniture and arts and crafts, while being perfectly functional in all ways, including the AC, which was very welcome in the muggy weather. The host was very friendly and charming. We spent a very comfortable stay and hope to return.

What’s not to absolutely love about the place!

The rooms were beautifully furnished and neat as a pin. The decor was charming and very comfortable. The host couldn’t have been more accommodating and friendly. A must stay if you go to St. Johnsbury VT or any place within 75 miles!

Charming stay in St. Johnsbury

We enjoyed our short stay in St. Johnsbury. We were only there one night on the way up to Quebec. What a great place! It’s centrally located with great access to the kingdom trails. It’s spacious and immaculate. The kitchen seemed well equipped, though we didn’t use it during our day. It was so nice having a welcome gift of Maple syrup from the family farm. Kimberly was an excellent host and helped us with a secure place to store our bikes, I would definitely return to stay longer!

What a treat!

Everything was so well decorated and there were little touches that made it so welcoming. For instance, there was a little jar of Kim's favorite honey and a welcome note on the table as we walked in. The bed was comfortable, the water pressure and temp were both great. It was a quiet and private apartment. Centrally located in a beautiful neighborhood. A+ all around!
