Great Stay

It was perfect for what we needed while in New York. I felt safe in the building and neighborhood which was very important to us. The Host was very responsive and communicated well with us. Would visit again:)

My stay in this apartment

The neighbourhood was amazing! Loved it very much. The building was located in a very quiet place so you always had a good night sleep! Neighbours were nice and not noise at all. Dov answered my questions super quickly via text. The WiFi worked well. The only thing was that the apartment could have been a little more cleaner.. otherwise looks the same as in the pictures. Had a nice stay anyways!

Location and quiet!

Amazing uws location- safe and so quiet. Responsive and friendly landlord. Walking distance from many great places to shop and eat and a half bock from the A and C .

Loved staying here. This place has everything you need and more. Closest subway station is at the end of the block. Tons of restaurants, deli, and coffee shops within walking distance. Thanks for a great stay!

Just perfect!

This was the perfect place, stayed 2 months while looking for a permanent home in the area. The location of the property is amazing, in a very safe neighborhood for someone new to NY. The unit is clean, comfortable, well equipped. Dov was very quick to respond to my initial requests for more information, and proved to be very available for information. There were no problems at all! Would go back and repeat again!! Thank you Dov for making this a home away from home if only for a short while.

Très sale. A fuir !

Lorsque nous avions réservé au mois d'Avril, nous nous sommes basés sur les commentaires qui étaient dans l'ensemble très positifs.Or à notre arrivée nous avons été surpris de découvrir un appartement très sale, des murs aux sols en passant par l'électroménager, la vaisselle etc... Des peaux d'oranges sur le sol dans un coin de la cuisine. Le plus choquant ce sont les draps et les serviettes qui n'avaient pas été lavées et sentaient mauvais.Idem pour les oreillers jaunis par la sueur avec une odeur nauséabonde. La cuvette des wc et la baignoire noires de crasse, nous avons dû acheter une bouteille de javel pour désinfecter tout ça. A cela il faut rajouter, l'état de la literie, le lit grinçait et les matelas y compris celui du canapé étaient déformés et usés, nos nuits étaient un véritable supplice. La nuit des blattes faisaient leur apparition. Enfin ce logement a été notre pire cauchemar depuis que nous nous rendons régulièrement aux US. Le seul.point positif reste l'emplacement géographique, à côté de Central Park.

Appartement sale et déglingué - photos mensongères

L’appartement que nous avons loué ne correspondait absolument pas aux photos mises en ligne. Nous avons trouvé un appartement sale et déglingué ! Sols et tapis n’avaient pas été nettoyés, même pas un coup d’aspirateur… (les pieds noirs au bout de 3 minutes après avoir retiré mes sandales). Cure-dents, cotons-tiges et bouchons de bouteille retrouvés dans les angles de la pièce principale. Vitres crasseuses Salle de bain sale et détériorée (baignoire, douche, rideau de douche, cuvette wc). Aucune évacuation d’eau ne fonctionnant normalement d’où l’usage quotidien d’une ventouse à notre disposition. Serviettes de bain et torchons tachés et usagés Canapés qui fut sans doute blanc cassé désormais aux couleurs douteuses. Coin cuisine et ustensiles gras. Literie avec sommier qui grince (pas de lampe de chevet) Tapis non nettoyé, mobilier dépareillé (deux vitrines notamment !!) n’ayant rien à voir avec les photos de promotion. Cheminée avec des tombées de suie quotidiennes. Présence de cafards gros comme un pouce !! The apartment # 370465 located 2B court side) that we rented did not correspond to the pictures put on line. We found a dirty and dilapidated apartment ! Floors and carpets had not been cleaned, not even a vacuum ... (black feet after 3 minutes after removing my sandals). Toothpicks, cotton swabs and bottle caps found in the corners of the main room. Crusty windows Bathroom dirty and deteriorated (bath, shower, shower curtain, toilet bowl). No water evacuation normally functioning from where the daily use of a suction cup at our disposal. Stained and used towels and dishcloths Sofas that was probably off-white now in dubious colors. Kitchen area and greasy utensils. Bedding with squeaky bedstead (no bedside lamp) Carpet uncle...

Spacious, charming, great location.

Dov was very responsive to any needs or questions we had and the apartment was large and comfortable. Our dog enjoyed the area also with Central Park only 1/2 block away. Plenty of restaurants and bars in the neighborhood.

Charming Neighborhood in Upper West Side

We loved our stay in this huge studio by Central Park. We were steps away from restaurants, deli's, Trader Joe's, Grocery stores, and of course Central Park. The subway in the pictures is closed for renovation till Fall, but there is a subway just as close in the other direction! It was hot outside but our room stayed cool. I felt very safe in this neighborhood with my two small children and often walked the streets after dark. For the foodies Han Dynasty delivers and Columbus Deli had the best bacon, egg and cheese on a roll :) Dov was very responsive and accommodating.I would stay here again.

Everything you need!

Dov was responsive and helpful, and the apartment was beautiful. It had all the amenities, and the neighbourhood is lovely. I will definitely try to stay here the next time I'm in New York.

Great location close to restaurants and shopping and subway. Though needs new pillows and bed is squeaky. Great to come back to a warm - very warm room after cold and rain. Floor boards I found had some nails sticking out. Thanks again.

Charming studio with a lot of historic character In the ideal neighborhood for family and dogs.

Half a block from Central Park where you can run the dog off leash before 9 AM every day. We even brought the kids Christmas caroling outside the brownstone. Where else do you see that in Manhattan?

Old world

We are to old to notice the fact that the place is a bit run down. For us the place was just perfect; lots of charm and space with a kitchennette, placed in a quiet neighborhood on Manhattan . The doublebed is a one mattress and cover affair, quite comfortable if You can share! If You're fuzzy about details; stay away, if not; enjoy Your stay.

It has the old world charm of New York.

Best location in town. Very quiet neighborhood. Although the unit needs updating, it has its old world charm. Very spacious for a studio apartment esp. in Manhattan. The apartment looks like a college student lives here. It's has mismatched furnitures. There are unneccesssay cabinets, that opens by itself. Paint over paint. Overall, it was clean. We had enjoyed our stay.

Lovely room, though poorly maintained

Delighted when I first saw the room, which was in a great position, but found that several things needed attention. I requested a second key, as it was most inconvenient, there being two of us. The owner promised to drop one off, but didn't bother doing so. There were nails sticking out of the floor, which were dangerous and ants everywhere in the bathroom and kitchen.

The owner of the building was fast on fixing the toilet (which was clogged), and the living room walls were freshly painted (though no sanding or filling holes before painting); the furniture was old and dilapidated (a desk with the computer drawer falling down and the dining (sic) table was held together with blue tape); the refrigerator contained half-filled bottles of various unwanted items and its outside wall was covered with orange-y stains; the bathroom had peeling paint. But the neighborhood is great (close to Central Park, the subway, many great places to eat), and the heat more than sufficed. Still, i felt a bit like a poor college student who'd found a place he might fix up, if he really tried; so it'd be okay to bring the parents here. Really. They'll understand. It's just for a short while anyway. I came away thinking the guy who owned it just didn't get how shabby it all felt, or maybe he did and didn't care. Me, I'll choose a hotel next time. This was just a bit too depressing.

It was all about location.

This studio was huge and very vintage which is its appeal and charm. Wifi and cable tv made our off touring hours busy. Restaurants within a couple of blocks were outstanding. This studio has a great location! A couple of things would make this a superior place to stay. The bed is awful. We hardly slept all week. Towels need some mprovement. They look dirty and soiled. No wash clothes at all led us to try to buy some. We could never t find a place that sold them. The kitchen was ok.

Very comfortable. Great location, convenient access to the subway and Central Park.

Great apartment with wonderful location

We walked into a large studio apartment which was clean and had all the necessary amenities. Felt very safe there and owner was quick to respond to any issues. The only problem we had was a loose doorknob with some difficulty locking it. A phone call led to a quick response. The location is ideal. Half a block from Central Park, the subway and a downtown bus. We stayed for about six weeks and explored many of the museums including multiple visits to Met Museum of Art which was a short walk through the park. Plenty of restaurants on Columbus, Amsterdam and Broadway. We would return if the situation arose.

Bel appartement calme et bien situé

L'appartement correspond tout à fait au descriptif de l'annonce .Il est spacieux ,calme ,trés bien situé et correctement équipé.Nous avons beaucoup aimé son style: cheminée ,parquet,haut plafond ,grande fenêtre dans la piéce principale.Pour notre premier séjour à N.Y. ,nous avons passé ,ma femme et moi, dix journées inoubliables dans cette ville exceptionnelle. Aprés les longues journées à travers la ville nous retrouvions avec grand plaisir le calme du quartier et la convivialité de l'appartement . Nous mettons cinq étoiles malgré le petit problème de porte verrouillée à notre arrivée ,problème qui n'était pas du à Dove et qui n'a pas nui au bon déroulement de notre séjour . Nous recommandons cette location et espérons y revenir trés prochainement .

Great apartment on UWS

My husband and I stayed here for about 10 days in December. Really great apartment. Very big, well-lit living area and everything we needed for our stay. Location is fantastic -- very close to the subway and Central Park, plus lots of great bars/restaurants in the UWS and some great markets and wine stores are nearby. The only cons were that the bed springs are squeaky and the shower curtain liner billows in (maybe a curved curtain rod and a weighted curtain liner would help). Overall a great experience. We come to NYC often for work and would stay here again.

Grear location and very comfortable

The location of the appartment is great, just 50 meters from the subway, Central Park and very near from nice avenues with lot of restaurants. The check-in and check-out organization with Dov was very easy and friendly. The appartment is very comfortable and has everything you need. The only thing that we didn´t like is the entrance to the building is very dirty, anyway this place made our stay at NYC a great one.
