The Lodge at Tartan Acres Alpacas is waiting for you. Comfortable, peaceful, and welcoming, this circa 1900 rural farmhouse has been restored and enlarged creating your home away from home. A short walk up the ramp leads to the front door and enters into the open-beamed and comfortably appointed living room. Here you are welcome to snuggle under a blanket in front of the gas fireplace and choose your entertainment from the smart TV, CD, or DVD player. A brand new kitchen is fully functional for cooking and baking. The 1st floor bedroom (king) is adjacent to a large handicap ADA/accessible bath. Two bedrooms (queen/twin), a half bath and a shower room are located on the 2nd floor. The gameroom on the 3rd level is loaded with games and DVDā€™s, (DVD-playing TV). Enjoy the spectacular views from the front porch or relax on the back deck. A Quick search for nearby restaurants will include American, Middle Eastern, SE Asian and Italian. If cooking is your thing, the local grocer is 10 minutes away. Too many people in your party? Ask about available rooms at the adjacent Victorian era AIRB&B in advance of your stay.
If you have served, inquire about our Veteranā€™s discount. Valid Military ID or DD-214 displaying honorable discharge must be offered at check-in.
Nearby attractions: This is the Gateway to the Finger Lakes where award winning wineries and hiking trails abound. Sapsucker Woods Sanctuary, Song Mtn. Ski Center, Greek Peak Mtn. Resort, SUNY Cortland, Cornell College, Ithaca College, Syracuse University, Cortland Country Music Park, 1890 House Museum, and the Living History Museum are all nearby. Located just 25 minutes south of Syracuse.

One guest has carved a name into a piece of our vintage furniture. We have thoughtfully furnished this home to reflect its country farmhouse style. If you wish to carve furniture, please stay at a hotel.

Bucolic get away

We had a lovely stay at the alpaca farmhouse! The house was so spacious and even nicer than the photos. Lots of room to spread out - both indoors and outdoors. Beautifully decorated with antiques and updated modern bathrooms. The owners were so responsive and helpful. We hope to return!

Beautiful Countryside Home

The house looked amazing inside and out. Had everything you needed to have a comfortable and enjoyable stay. The area was peaceful and quiet and gave you wonderful country views. We were there for a baseball tournament and the house was a nice retreat after the games. Also, you're a short ride from the town to enjoy food, drinks, and activities.

Beautiful Property

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay. The house is gorgeous and inviting, and we all had plenty of space to work with for dining, lounging, and sleeping. Every surface of the interior has been remodeled and refreshed, with lots of attention to detail and decorating. The location is wonderful, with views from the front porch of the peaceful valley below. Easy access and close to all we needed to do in town too, so a great location overall. This property is highly recommended.

Comfortable and Very Clean!

Our family was in the area for a few days to get away. The location between Skaneateles and Ithaca provided a lot of flexibility. The children especially loved the attic space - it was their special hideaway, and it was stocked with games and DVDs. The owners were generous with their time and hospitable, making this stay unique and peaceful.

Great stay

Very homey, spacious and clean home. Just as described and pictured. The owners were awesome to deal with, good communication. Well stocked kitchen pots tools dishes etc. Beds comfortable. Little extra touches were nice like snack basket. Thank you for sharing your home with us for the couple days we were in town to visit friends that live in your area.

Graduation celebration

Our home was spectacular and beautiful. Very clean and spacious. The bedrooms were very welcoming, kitchen a delight and bathrooms up to date and amazing. Porches and deck were refreshing and living room had space for all of us. We got to pet and visit alpacas. Super close to suny cortland ale village of Homer. Wanted to stay longer/

Beautiful house

Everything was top of the line in the house and you could still smell the new wood. Really nice place and lots of board games if you're so inclined. It's about 10 minutes north of Cortland where we were visiting family so was very convenient and much nicer than adjoining rooms in a hotel (previous visits). The only complaint is the room with twin beds had very creaky beds every time you, or the other, moved. Luckily one of our party only stayed 2 nights so I moved into another room for the third night. We would definitely stay here again.

Beautiful Country Home

We were in town for a soccer camp at Cornell. It was a little bit of a drive through the country to commute back and forth but the peace and beauty of this place made it all very worth it!!! The house reminded me of staying at Grandmas. Very welcoming and warm with attention to the smallest of details. The house is also accessible to wheelchairs including the roll in shower on the main floor!! Kenneth and Brenda were very communicative and easy to reach. Although we were not at the house for very long due to the schedule we were keeping, I can promise you that everything you need for a comfortable stay is covered. The kitchen has all the things for cooking at home and enjoying dinner on the back porch OR front porch!! and the views??? Breathtaking!!! We would love to return and be able to just enjoy this home without having to run around for soccer!!
