Do you enjoy the flickering light of a fireplace dancing on the walls in a cozy cottage getaway? You may need a simple uncomplicated escape to an above yard deck with an amazing book and a rich flavorful cup of coffee. Are we there yet? Can you hear the cardinals, and bluejays singing on a perfect spring day with a mild breeze that causes the leaves to rattle and sway on the dogwood trees?. Maybe you want to just drift in thought while you watch the squirrels at play below. If you can enjoy yourself alone or party with a few close friends in a private and discreet comfortable setting and still spontaneously get in the mix in minutes it's all here for you. We are here because we want to remind you that you are a real treasure! You can be spontaneous, creative, productive, romantic and you can return to loving you!

Wonderful place to stay, great owner

This is probably the best experience I've ever had renting a place. The owner is so responsive, helpful, and accommodating. Great location--can easily walk to West Asheville's Haywood Street, where there are endless options for breakfast, lunch, and dinner. We wanted a mix of shopping and eating downtown and outdoor excursions and adventures, and this place suited us perfectly.

Wonderful!

The bungalow was very cute! Maceo left the house very welcoming, clean and well maintained. Everything was in great shape and well decorated. Would definitely recommend this place to anyone!

Quaint, Awesome Home In a Great Locale

Had a wonderful week-end stay. House has great character, artsy and interesting décor, and location in West Asheville is nice. Loved the yard. Our family had as much fun hanging out around the house as we did seeing the sights in Asheville. Maceo was so helpful and responsive. All around great stay!!

Great weekend in Asheville

This property was well kept and in a great location. The home owner was very hospitable and easy to work with. We especially enjoyed the porch and outdoor areas as the weather was perfect. We were a short walk away from great dining and short uber ride from the heart of downtown Asheville. My friends and I enjoyed our time at he Keeling City Cottage and would not hesitate to stay here again if in the area.

Clean, Comfortable "Retreat"

Spent a relaxing weekend with friends, and it was everything it was billed to be. Comfortable, Clean, Quiet... Maceo was great to work with and communicated very promptly. I will book here again, if I plan another trip to Asheville.

West Asheville Gem

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay. The location was perfect - walking distance to shops and restaurants and close enough to downtown and area attractions. It had all of the amenities and more. Maceo was very responsive to any need and great communicator. He is a very gracious host and would highly recommend the property.

Great W Asheville home for vacation!

Great West Asheville home! We had a great stay and really enjoyed the cozy environment of the Keeling home. The owner is very attentive and welcomed us with a glass of wine and local information on the kitchen table The house is updated and well decorated, and the beds are comfortable. Just a two block walk to Haywood, great location! It was too cold to enjoy the yard, but the outdoor area of the home is amazing too!

Perfect location and wonderfully appointed.

Maceo could not have been a more amazing host. We've stayed at several world-class BnB's and VRBO's in the past, but his attention to detail was unmatched. From the well-stocked fridge for us to use to the wine picked specifically to our taste on the table upon arrival to the toys in the yard for our toddler, he set a bar that I don't think anyone other than our families will ever reach for travel accommodations. We would definitely stay here again!

Wonderful home

We loved this home, its very comfortable and has an excellent location. Walking distance to lots of great restaurants. It is located in a lovely quiet neighborhood in west asheville. The owner Maceo just bends over backwards to make sure everything is perfect. We cannot wait to stay here again. I highly recommend it! Thank you Maceo!

Perfect spot in West Asheville

The cottage is totally charming. It is in a great location for walking West Asheville and convenient for downtown. I have never had a VRBO experience like this one. Maceo puts tremendous time and energy into making sure the home is ready for you and that everything is perfect during your stay. Plus he cheerfully mails back your phone charger!! I recommend the cottage and will plan to stay again.

Outstanding

We could not have asked for more. What a great owner he even surprised me with a birthday cake for my big 50. House is beautiful and very comfortable and extremely clean. Great deck and garden. Location is perfect and a short uber ride to downtown Ashevillbe but WestcAshville has everything we were looking for and an easy walk to eat and hit the pubs. Already booked our next visit.

Beautiful cottage with great amenities

Oh my goodness! This cottage is a hidden gem within walking distance to shops, restaurants, and anything you could want. Mr. Zeeling's property is exceptionally clean, warm and very inviting. That kitchen is awesome - updated high end appliances, cozy and he has made available anything you'd ever need to preapare a great meal! I loved the hot tub, fireplace, comfy beds and the decor. I will definitely return.

Excellent!

Maceo is a perfect host! The house was welcoming and very comfortable! We were close to everything and a few minutes from downtown Asheville! We appreciated the fact that our 2 dogs were welcome. The house has many unique items and we enjoyed all if them including an autographed picture of Ali! I would recommend this house to anyone! Our only regret was it was not longer!

This place has all you need for you, your family, and friends

I received the most prompt response and follow up from the owner. I had a feeling I am visiting my old friend's home. It was warm, welcoming, and accommodating. Maceo had complementary wine and everything we needed for breakfast. I was not sure if the 3rd couple was going to join us, but there was more than enough room, pillows, and towels for 6. I feel like my family and friends have a place in Asheville and would definitely stay at Maceo's again. Thank you, Maceo, for your hospitality !

West Asheville Funk

Great little house--incredibly clean and well laid out and equipped. Very comfortable to stay in with good beds, great deck and sound system. In West Asheville, easy walk to Haywood, main commercial street of West Asheville with its bars, restaurants and cafes. Best breakfast places in Biscuithead and Sunny Point Cafe and brewery at top of hill. Owner incredibly responsive and helpful with suggestions for things to do. TVs and DVDs everywhere but with Asheville so interesting, hard to get around to using all the things Maceo has for his guests. Recommend to those who like the vibe of West Asheville and the convenience of a location within 10 minutes of downtown and the River Arts district.

Fabulous

Stunning! The moment you walk through the door all your cares vanish. From the music playing throughout the home to the beautiful display of arts and crafts, you will not want to leave. Maceo has provided the perfect setting and space for the most discriminating of visitors. The landscaping is immaculate and he has not even finished with his vision for the space. The kitchen is every Chef at Heart dream, there is everything you could possibly need. If you don't like to cook, let me recommend Nine Mile and Sunny Pointe Cafe. You can't go wrong with either place and they are very close to the home. I have booked through Home Away and VRBO for several years and this home, by far, has been my favorite. I can't wait to go back!

Thumbs and paws up!

Maceo's cottage was exactly what we needed. My 12 year old fell in love with it as soon as we opened the door ❤️ First, the location is PERFECT...we explored west Asheville by foot and then popped in the car to reach downtown in 5 minutes. It was central to everything. And while we spent a lot of time exploring, we also like our down time and what a wonderful place to hang out and relax. The cottage is darling and just fun. My son used the drawing table and the keyboard. We all appreciated the beds.....best sleep ever. Maceo called prior to our visit and shared some very valuable tips that made our trip even better...such a gracious host. Thank you for sharing your cottage and Asheviile with us. We will definitely be back.

Well-equipped home in a good location

My family met with some friends for a weekend getaway in Asheville. The owner Maceo is easy to reach and is great! He seems to truly enjoy renting the home and making renters feel as welcome as possible. Our kids loved running around the yard and the kitchen was supplied with anything we could ask for. We highly recommend this home!

I enjoy about 20 ways to relax and occasionally I leave the 'city cottage' volunteer for SCORE or The Hope Chest for Women. (a breast cancer support organization) I dabble in a few languages and I welcome the world!

Do you want to be in the mix, yet off the beaten path? This is the place for you! This is a wonderful, quiet neighborhood but if you wanna get loud we've got the space to play. We chose this completely remodeled 100 year old home for it's location, location, location! It is 1 exit from Downtown Asheville and the River Arts District. Don't want to get in the car at all leave it parked in our driveway and walk... We are 1 block from Sunny Point Cafe and a short 5 minute walk to hot spots like the Isis Theater, Fred's Mothlight, Westville Pub, The Oyster House and more fun venues. Are you a history buff? How about the Biltmore House and the North Carolina Arboretum are within 10 miles of home. It's all happening between Haywood Rd. and Patton Avenue in Historic West Asheville! You can be spontaneous, creative, productive, romantic and you can return to loving you. It is my great joy to invite you to the Keeling City Cottage.
