Perfect View

This property was gorgeous - from the house to the views. We had a great stay and wish we had time to spend out the house moreso than we did. The hot tub was so comfy on the chilly nights.

Amazing wine country weekend

We had an absolutely amazing weekend for my husband's 50th with a few other couples. The property was truly spectacular - we weren't sure what to expect from being in the hills but it was amazing - we cut back on some of our tastings so we could just hang out at the house. Sarah was an amazing host - super responsive, great ideas. The fresh eggs were such a treat too. Highly recommend for adult group getaway - will definitely be back!!

My husband and I rented this beautiful property for BottleRock weekend with our group of friends and couldn’t have had a better experience. Waking up to the beautiful views and coming home at night to this amazing house that promotes good times was the absolute best! The home owners are very responsive and helpful with everything and have an extensive list of referrals to help navigate your stay and make the experience seamless. We will definitely be back!

Group trip to wine country

Castello di GoLightly was wonderful! Each of us had the same “wow” reaction as we drove up to the house. The living spaces were terrific…the outdoor spaces even more so (wish it had been warmer to really take advantage of it all). Sarah and Graham are consummate hosts, and Graham’s paella to cap off our stay was perfect

Better than the on line Photographs

It is secluded but only a short drive from Sonoma town centre. Lovely view over the valley. The hosts could not have been more helpful, they responded quickly to questions and gave good suggestions as to where to eat etc. Fresh eggs from their chickens too!

Much better than expected

Property description did not do it justice. We traveled with 4 couples and we had more than enough room for everyone. The outdoor space was amazing. An outstanding experience

There aren’t enough wonderful accolades we can use to describe Sarah and Graham’s home. We’ve rented all over the world and this has been the best experience by far. The communication and availability from our hosts exceeded all expectation- and yet that’s nothing compared to what a beautiful home they have. It was everything we had hoped for and more. I cannot speak highly enough. If you have the opportunity to rent this stunning property, consider yourselves lucky indeed!

Fantastic long weekend

Our family of four had a fantastic time, so did the family and friends that joined us for afternoons, evenings, and late evenings by the fire pit. The property photos are wonderful, the reality lives up to it. A short drive from downtown Sonoma. But, while on the propery, it's like being in a mountain retreat. I walked outside the morning after we arrived and saw my daughter just sitting on the grass overlooking the valley, reading, looking. We all had moments like that. The hosts are engaged, thoughtful, warm and welcoming. Great family smiles all weekend.

Memorable Family Vacation

Castello di GoLightly was the perfect destination for our family trip to wine country. The house is beautiful and the views are even better! Sarah & Graham were gracious hosts. We cooked some delicious meals in their well-equipped kitchen and even made pizzas at the pool in their Italian pizza oven! It was a bit too cold to swim, but we did utilize the hot tub. We enjoyed playing pool and other games downstairs and watching movies in the theater room. We also had fun playing with the chickens, ducks and Guinea fowl. Our only negative with the house is that the primary bedroom has no door to it or do the bathrooms in the bedrooms. The location is close to downtown Sonoma and Buena Vista Winery. In only 45 min to an hour you are up in Yountville, St. Helena & Calistoga. The drive up there is so worth it. Too many great wineries to choose from!

So happy you took full advantage of your wine country getaway! Surprise, the master bedroom already has a brand new custom reclaimed-wood and welded-steel barn door for you to enjoy upon your return! And since the master takes up the entire top floor, the large open concept en-suite bathroom works for us, but if you like more privacy I’ll be happy to look into options! In the meantime there is a very private guest bath on middle floor. So sorry you had a couple days of cool ocean breeze. Full sun and warm pool now and expected through mid October! That just means you need to bring the family back again soon ;)

Awesome house!

I have to start but saying this house is awesome. What makes it even better are the hosts. They worked hard to ensure we had a great time. There was a little issue with the water when we first got there but it was handled quickly. We stayed mostly outside because it's the perfect set up. Our group had plans to do dinner in town but decided to stay in both nights because of the outdoor space. Really the only issue was it decided to be the hottest weekend probably ever in Sonoma and there was no air conditioning in the house. Again we didn't mind too much because we stayed around the pool most of the time. But while sleeping, it was hot. Having said that, the owners have already decided to have ACs placed in the bedrooms. So once that is done I think this house will be the perfect place for a Sonoma getaway. One last thing, they have the cutest cat Stumpy that lives in the house fulltime. He was my buddy the whole weekend

Vacation of a lifetime

We planned a wine tasting family trip for my 60th birthday. We have never stayed in a VRBO before so we did not know what to expect. We scored with this property!!! Sarah and Grahams home is like a personal resort! Sarah answered all of our questions that we had in a very timely manner. She also gave us a very detailed email with transportation companies, suggested wineries to visit, personal chef list etc. This helped us plan out our itinerary before arriving. Our kids were so happy that we had chefs come to the house each night for dinner. That way we were able to enjoy all that the property offered. We had chef Graham make poolside paella and chef Ed brought a live sushi station to the home. This way we still had time to enjoy the hot tub and have drinks by the fire pit during the sunset each night. The other thing I want to mention is the bedding is luxurious and they offer pillows for everyones personal preference. They have thought of everything you might want or need! We also used California Wine Tours for all of our transportation. I would highly suggest them to everyone! I just hope we get the opportunity to take our friends there soon! Pictures don't do it justice you have to experience it for yourself!!!!

Fantastic stay at Castello di GoLightly

Gorgeous views, beautifully decorated home, and great amenities made for a memorable birthday weekend for my husband! Loved all the lights, hot tub, and nature surrounding the house. You feel like you are in a secluded resort but as a bonus, a drive to downtown Sonoma less than 10 minutes away! Can't wait to return!

Amazing location

Our experience of the Castle was amazing. From the moment of check in, you feel as if you are taken away somewhere that is unique. What I love so much is the combination of both spaces to gather, as well as spaces for privacy that this property has. Halfway through our stay, I was already planning our next visit to this house and who I would like to invite. And the hosts are the ultimate in gracious. We've stayed in many properties, and this was by far one of the top 3 for us. Strong recommend...you will not be disappointed.

Impromptu weekend getaway

On a short couple day notice we found this wonderful Sonoma home with the best owners!! We locked up a Saturday thru Monday getaway for my wife and I and two daughters, son in law and new baby Quaid!! Weather was awesome, views from the house spectacular. Hone was more then comfortable and any questions we had Sarah was a text away. We will do this again!! Thank you both for a great time!! Goose

I grew up in Northern California on a hippy commune and my hubby grew up in New York. We both love Sonoma!

The views are the best we've ever seen in wine country! The vineyards in the distance are green or golden depending on the time of year, and makes this property shine line a diamond! It's truly unique, beautiful, and instantly transports you to a very happy place ;) Great view and only a 7 minute drive to the Historic Sonoma Town Square.
