amazing spot!

We adored our stay here for a small family get away. Had a lot of outdoor spaces, grill, and area to play games and just hang out. Had everything we needed and more. Would love to come back one day!

Amazing house

Great house old school cabin feel. Gazebo by the water is great. Property management evolve is a little slow to respond 48-72 hrs maybe. Would definitely come back. This was our second time staying at this house.

Great location and lots of room

We would love to come back. Need to tell people about the room off the deck. Friends set up music and games and disturbed no one out there. The room with twin beds was a little smallish with 2 single cots, but worked out nicely. No complaints and beautiful views and wonderful times

Perfect place for family gathering. Plenty of room with bedroom spaced apart, plenty of bathrooms for all. Very nice layout of home, quiet, wonderful view. Everything you needed.

Nice home to rent.

We enjoyed our time at this location. The water was low, which made fishing impossible. However, that was a not a deal breaker for us. This house is suited for a small group of people, which we had 6 and it worked out perfect for us. It’s not far from San Marcos and New Braunfels. My only complaint is the kitchen didn’t have a lot of pots and pans to cook with but that didn’t stop us from enjoying our weekend there.

Amazing Sunrise

The house was clean and cozy, a little bit outdated. However was spacious enough to accommodate 3 small families. The back yard is huge with access to the lake shore with private patio, swing and fire pit close to the water. Peaceful and quite place to enjoy sunrise, watch deer roaming around, eat s'mores.

Needs major cleaning

My family and I went for Spring Break but unfortunately only spent 3 hrs in this home. It looked as if the house had not been visited or cleaned in years. BBQ pit had been used without being clean and was rusted so bad that it needs to be thrown out. Bugs and spider nest were plentiful inside the house. The property owner initially showed resistance to a refund, but after we sent pictures of how unkept the place was, they agreed. Gazebo was beautiful but place needs a thorough cleaning.

Nice lake access, lots of room, enjoyed evenings by the fire at the gazebo.

We loved the place, but had a few problems. We were assured that everything we needed to do a Thanksgiving dinner was there, but there was no roasting pan and limited sheets for cookies. We also encountered three large cockroaches in the bedroom/bath closest to the garage. We especially liked the extra fridge/freezer in the garage. Lottsa wildlife. We saw foxes and deer. Deer everywhere. Fairly close access to grocery stores and other places to purchase what we needed. Beautiful property, but furniture is outdated. Coach is worn and difficult to get out of. All the neighbors are very friendly. It was very nice having the fridge down at he gazebo as we would enjoy a beer and sit around the fire. We had our boat and kayaks pulled up there for easy access. Love the decks, nice for laying back and watching the lake. All in all, it was a great four days that flew by. I recommend this rental.

Peaceful Getaway

We had an absolutely wonderful time. I was worried that there were going to be too many people with there being neighbors so close by, but it was still very quiet and peaceful and everyone kept to themselves. There was one sweet neighbor that had brought by a cup of corn for the deer but she saw we already had bought a bag for them. There is a nice grocery store just 10 minutes down the road which was nice too. The walk down to the water is very enjoyable and it was a nice option to be able to drive down to the water as well. There was plenty of room for everyone and gave us plenty of space so that we didn't feel crowded. The sunsets and sunrises were absolutely breathtaking from the second story patio. We look forward to coming again and staying longer.

Excellent spot!

Aside from the water being down in the lake, which nobody can help, this was a perfect spot! the pavilion is a great place to sneak off to once the kids go to sleep. Everything you could possibly need is in close proximity. we had a great vacation and will definitely return.

Fantastic acreage and beautiful location, house is a bit dated

We stayed in the house over Thanksgiving 2017 and we had a great overall trip. It is a great location and we could get to San Antonio area quickly as well as other state parks in the area that we visited during the week and Natural Bridge Caverns. The house was spacious and had everything that we needed, but it seemed as if it hadn't been well cared for over the years and was a bit dated. It was nice to have access to the garage to park our car in during the week and easy access to the lake. The hill country location was beautiful also. The only problems we encountered were, the house was quite dusty and with cobwebs and dust throughout, it seemed it hadn't been cleaned in a while. Also, when we went to use the washing machine, the drain was clogged and the room with the washing machine flooded and some water got out into the carpet outside of the room due to that, we did not expect that to happen. I was glad that the homeowner was understanding when I called with the issue and not angry.

Outstanding House and Property

This was the perfect property and accommodations for our group. We really enjoyed the gazebo down by the lake. The views are fantastic! We highly recommend this place for any gathering. We will definitely be back.

Beautiful scenery and peaceful and relaxing. The covered area by the water was awesome.

The property was just right for our stay. It could use a little bit of remodeling and updating but it was perfect for our group. Plenty of room for guests lots of space so your not right on top of each other. Cold ac and ceiling fans that kept it nice and cool. The bonus part and the area we spent all our time at was the gazebo down by the water. Very awesome that it was accessible by Vehicle Awesome Patio to listen to music and relax with the lake breeze keeping the temps down. Will definitely book again. Great property that fulfilled all our needs

Great Lake home

Everything you need to have a great vacation. 20 minutes from the Guadalupe river. A little out dated. Very easy to speak with contact person. Deer everywhere! At one point we had up to 19! Will be returning!!

Great time on the lake

My family and I had a wonderful time at this rental. The back deck was cool and shady at all times of the day. The extra pavillion by the water was great too. There were so many deer and a couple would eat right from your hand. The kids just loved it. I would definitely recommend and stay here again. Great relaxing time. Great location.

River weekend success

We had a great stay at this residence. Everything was very clean and tidy. We slept 8 people very comfortably and each couple had their privacy. The den is tucked away and is basically a 4th bedroom. The property backs up to the lake and there are plenty of deer to impress your guests! Only thing that was missing was some bath towels in the restrooms. But then again, if you're coming up for a river weekend you should have a lot of towels anyway. Wish we could've stayed another day. If we have the same group size next year, I'd love to stay here again.

Enjoyed our stay

Nice lake cabin, beautiful views

We had a wonderful weekend with friends. The location and views are great but the cabin was not clean upon arrival and the gazebo, where we would have liked to spend our time, was so dirty and covered with insects that we could not use it even after trying to clean it. We would like to recommend this cabin but just make sure it is clean before renting. Loved the deer and water.
