The place was wonderful and the waterfront view was the best. I would stay here again. My only complaint was that the fireplace was not working. That was one of our reasons for booking the place.

I’m sorry you were disappointed. I didn’t realize that AI had written something about the fireplace in the ad. Most of our renters come in the summer months and aren’t interested in the fireplace. We are discussing the possibilities for next year. Stay tuned…! Hope you stay again, you were excellent renters!

We absolutely loved our stay here! Perfect view, right on the water! Super clean, which is a big must for me! It was so nice that each of us 3 couples had our own bathroom! Well stocked with everything you would need! Loved having kayaks to take out! The firepit was perfect to end our night too! It was also great to be able to park right in the garage especially since we had a couple motorcycles! So glad I found this place and would highly recommend! Hoping to visit again someday!

We loved our stay here! Directions to the house were easy to follow, and the 5-minute drive through the woods to get back to the property was absolutely beautiful. The beachfront is clear, quiet, and very private. While the sand dune sits between the house and the sand, you still get a lovely view of the water. The best beach access is right out the basement, which made it super easy to store our towels, toys, and gear by the back door without cluttering up the living space.The home is elevated, so keep in mind there are quite a few stairs to negotiate, but having two garage parking spaces made unloading a breeze.Inside, the main suite is spacious, the mattresses are comfortable, and the kids loved the cute downstairs bedroom.We appreciated the extras - beach chairs, beach blanket, a cooler, books, and tons of games. The kitchen was stocked with everything we needed, and having a griddle available saved us from packing ours. We’d recommend this property in a heartbeat!

Great Family Getaway

What a beautiful and family friendly vacation home! It definitely exceeded our expectations!! Clean, well equipped from the kitchen , to the bathrooms and the bedrooms. Super easy check in and check out process as well. Looking forward to staying here again in the future !!

Great house!

Loved our time here. Such a beautiful stay right on northern lake michigan. An hour from picture rock lake shore and 1.5 hrs from ferri to maxkinac island.

Spectacular Living

Seven sisters gathered once again to celebrate each other. This place was absolutely spectacular. We loved the indoor space and were wowed by the beauty of the beach. We are grateful to have the ability to enjoy each other's company surrounded by such natural beauty.

Peaceful Retreat

What a wonderful property! The property is right on the beach and very secluded. We watched the beautiful sunrises every morning. Everything you need is here. We love the area and enjoyed the near by day trips to Pictured Rocks, Mackinac Island and Kitch-iti-kipi. We would definitely recommend this property.

Beautiful lake front in UP

The property is gorgeous with a stunning view of the lake. The host has all accommodations: kayaks, life jackets, beach toys, beach chairs, etc. the host was very prompt with all questions. We loved staying at this property and our 7 and 5 year old boys loved it too.

Great Place to Unplug

Host was very prompt with responding. The morning sunrises by the lake shore were beautiful and the peacefulness was greatly appreciated. This is a fantastic place to get away from busy schedules and unwind. We would definitely return in the future.

A Lake Michigan Diamond!

Sandy Beach, kayaking, Spectacular sunrises and sunsets. The view of Lake Michigan is amazing. The home is beautiful, clean and spacious. You can’t beat it. Everyone had a fantastic time! This is a fantastic vacation getaway! Thank you Joni!

Excellent accommodations for our family of 8 in the Upper Peninsula area. The lakefront house was located near the town of Manistique, which had convenient stores and restaurants. We had fresh fish from Jensen's Fishery. Farmer's Market is open Wednesdays at 5 to 6:30pmThe drive to Pictured Rocks Cruise was a bit over an hour. It was a great way to view the National Seashore, and experience being on Lake Superior.Our children and grandkids loved the Lake Michigan experience. The house had plenty of activity options for the occasional rainy spell. Joni was responsive and displayed much thoughtfulness in having the house supplied with the little things. One example, every bedroom had a fan. Checkout requests were simple too.We voted Blue Water Retreat the best we have rented via Vrbo.For finding the house, use Google Maps, not the Waze app. Waze got us nearby, but not to the specific house.Say hello to the green frog that hung out on our deck two days.

We had an absolutely phenomenal time from start to finish! The home and property are spectacular. We appreciated all the thoughtful amenities that were included. We traveled with 5 little kids who thoroughly enjoyed the lower level with all the toys and games and they loved the kids bedroom with the starry ceiling lights. The beach toys were greatly appreciated as we spent the majority of our heavenly 10 days down on the beautiful beach. The road to get to the cabin is a bit long and “rustic”, but that’s a tiny price to pay for the literal heaven that awaits you. We cannot wait to return next summer!

As advertised, this is a private and gorgeous waterfront home with direct beach access to Lake Michigan. House was clean as a pin and tastefully decorated. Beach had sugar soft sand and lake water was crystal clear. The inside and outside of the house was stocked with all the amenities needed for a fun, comfortable stay for all ages. There was plenty of room to spread out. We especially enjoyed the pool table, as well as the large deck which could have comfortably accommodated a dozen people. Joni was attentive and promptly responded to every inquiry we had. We loved our stay!

Beautiful Beach

Before I arrived, Joni answered all of my questions within minutes. All of the appliances and outdoor grill are new and high quality. The beach is beautiful and easy to play in or just walk. The house is very secluded. The internet is fast! Television has lots of options. It is everything we expected!

Truly a Gem on Lake Michigan

This beautiful home has so much to offer. Incredible expansive sandy beach, quiet wooded property with lovely landscaping, beautiful sunrises, kayaking, and is loaded with amenities, We enjoyed bonfires every night while watching the sunset over Lake Michigan, witnessed a bald eagle soar over the beach, saw a spectacular full double rainbow over the lake after a rainstorm, and countless deer in the area. The property is so beautiful, I was able to capture so many wonderful senior pictures for my HS senior. The home was clean, kitchen fully stocked, and all bathroom / laundry / kitchen essentials were provided. The host was very courteous and responded quickly to messages. I can't wait to return to this gem!

2 Words - Private Beach

We stayed at this rental June 21-27 for a family vacation. My daughter graduated high school and wanted to see Lake Michigan and we were lucky to find this gem! 8 of us total age ranges 43-12 and it was great for all of us. The lake water was too cold for adults but the kids didn’t care. Kayaks and billiards were a huge hit. The beach is amazing and quiet and private. No fighting for space or crawling through crowds like at FL. We read, we fished, we played games and we slept! The house was so clean and nice and stocked with everything you need, from paper towels and TP, shampoo, conditioner, body wash, toothpaste, to life vests and beach towels, toys…literally all the things! I way overpacked! We didn’t want to leave at all. The drive back to the house is long but that didn’t bother us at all. The views and the short walk to the water was worth long stretch of road to get there. If I was changing anything it would be the dates we visited, the weather was hit or miss with the temperatures, I could have gone for about 10 degrees warmer. We look forward to visiting again!

This was our second year at this home right on Lake Michigan. It has so many wonderful amenities and is a beautiful property. Lots of fun with golf, pickleball, meals on the deck and swimming at the beach.

This place has it all! They had it stocked with everything you would need to cook, make coffee, and even had toys and life jackets. We spent most of our time sitting on the beach and kayaking. Beautiful sunsets and sandy campfire evenings. My kids loved the beach and Wild Things bedroom with starlight ceiling lights. Would recommend to anyone!

We were an extended family of eight traveling to the UP (kids, parents, grandparents) to see the many sites as well as have a comfortable home base to spend time together. This home delivered on all of those things. We absolutely loved the view of Lake Michigan, and had the pleasure of seeing a double rainbow on a rainy day. The beds are all very comfortable. The kitchen is well stocked and has plenty of space for many cooks in the kitchen. The kids especially loved the lower level with the game room, and the bedroom with the starry ceiling was a nice touch. The weather did not cooperate as much as we’d hoped but we had one full beach day and made the most of it. The kids loved the kayaks and enjoyed swimming. We truly enjoyed our stay! Thank you.
