4 Bedroom Village Home Sleeps 8 with Hot Tub & Game Room STR Permit 20-00233

This newer Village home, located in the center of beautiful Lake Placid, is just a two-minute walk from Main Street and access to shopping, dining, the lake, the Olympic Center and the ice rink. It also provides access to miles of hiking and cross-country ski trails. The free shuttle service is also a two-minute walk providing access to Whiteface Mountain, Mt. Van Hoevenberg Nordic Center, Saranac Lake, the Olympic Training Center, etc.

There are four bedrooms and three full baths, with additional sleeping areas (including a separate lower level and loft) that allow the home to sleep ten comfortably. The open, multi-level design allows for plenty of 'living space', and large furnished outdoor decks on both the front and back include a large eight (8) person hot tub that allows everyone to enjoy the great Adirondack outdoors and fresh air plus a gas fire pit.

Other amenities include a fully equipped kitchen with dishwasher, wood burning fireplace, outdoor gas grill, washer and dryer, cable TV (five!), DVD, VCR, and CD players, and high speed WiFi. Linens and towels are provided.

Here is a breakdown of the sleeping and living space:

Upper level:
One bedroom with queen, TV, private bathroom, plus separate his & her sink and vanity.
Loft sleeping area with queen pull out and privacy curtain.
Full bath with shower and Jacuzzi tub.

Main level:
Living, dining, kitchen area, main entrance, access to decks in both front and rear of the house. Dining table which seats 10.

Mid level:
One bedroom with two single beds.
One bedroom with double bed.
Full bath.

Great stay

We had a great stay here. My group of skiiers loved everything about the spot. Great location close to town, hot tub for after a long day on the mountain, and well stocked with appliances and everything we needed in the kitchen. Will definitely be back!

A calm respite during the Ironman excitement

We, athletes, friends and family relaxed in the spacious home, cooked in a well stocked kitchen, enjoyed the peacefulness as a return guest. Hillcrest was great for our needs with space, security, tranquility and convenience to Main St and Ironman Village.

Fantastic Location

Wonderful time in beautiful Lake Placid. The house was loaded with all you need to have a good time, it was clean and very nice. Lots of room. Location is the best! You can walk to downtown LP within minutes.

Great Spot

The house is located just above town, half way up the hill. Great access to town and everything surrounding. In house itself was clean and perfect for my needs. Good beds, very well equipped kitchen and the decks are a nice spot to lounge on to start and end the day. I’d book it again when in the area.

Exactly what we needed

In town for Ironman. Perfect location. Kitchen is updated compared to listed pictures. We felt so comfortable here. Lots of space to hang out. Fresh cut flowers in house when we arrived. We would definitely come again.

Great snow house

We had 3 generations hunkered down for a cold, wintry week. The house is perfect for riding our snow storms, and close to everything for walking. The only trick is that it's pretty hilly, slippery when there is snow and ice everywhere... We had a great time, even though it was too cold to try the hot tub...

Super great house

This house is in the perfect location, with just a short walk to town (it is a steep hill) and a short drive to anywhere else. The kitchen was fabulous. We cook in a lot after a long day outdoors and this kitchen had everything you could ever need, and high end dish ware! Likewise, there was plenty of essentials in all of the bathrooms, and plenty of wood for the fires. There was plenty of space for everyone, and the wood burning stove was the perfect ambiance for nightly board games in the living room.

Great Home and Great Location!

We spent our winter break at this terrific Lake Placid home with my family. The home itself was comfortable and very spacious for everyone in my family. The downstairs game room was great for the kids, and the large jacuzzi added an extra bit of fun and relaxation after a day of skiing at Whiteface Mountain for everyone. The location is perfect. You are located a hundred yards up a side street right off Main Street in the center of town. Having spent a few weekends in Lake Placid in the past, parking can be very difficult in town. My wife and I, and the kids on their own, could easily walk to all parts of town to the shops and restraunts which really made the stay that much more enjoyable. The Owner was very helpful and accommodating. We can't say enough positive things about our stay and highly recommend this home for families and large groups. We will be back.

Home Away From Home

My family and I had a great stay in Lake Placid. The house was very conveniently located to the beautiful Mirror Lake and the town’s Main Street, with its many shops, restaurants and the Olympic Center. A very quick walk or drive gets you there. The house is in a neighborhood but feels private. Great large deck, which I enjoyed having my coffee and breakfast on daily. The house was clean, spacious and was very well stocked with everything we needed and more. The game room was an added bonus for my kids. Ladies, the master bedroom has two sinks and vanities - a big plus not having to share the space with your partner. We all loved cozying up on the couch at night by the fire and, of course, relaxing in the hot tub after a long day of hiking or exploring the area attractions. The owner, Jay, was great to work with and easy to communicate with. He was even kind enough to accommodate some last minute changes to my schedule. Me and the family look forward to visiting Lake Placid and staying in this house again.

Great House, Great Location

The owner was very easy to work with, and the property even better than described. It had everything one needs for a comfortable stay. We were there over Thanksgiving so had an especially large dinner and found everything needed for such an occasion. We were less than a block from Main street and were able to walk to all the restaurants and shops. Additionally, we walked from the house around the lake and up Cobble Hill trail, so you can even get an easy hike in within walking distance. Would definitely return and recommend to others.

Family and Friend Getaway

Excellent location just a block from downtown Lake Placid. The house was clean and and in good shape. The kitchen was very well appointed and has everything needed for baking and cooking. All the details were covered including the an extra propane tank for the grill. The jacuzzi was clean and in great shape. Overall great great experience.

Amazing location; great kitchen; perfect ski house

Our stay at the Rock House was really wonderful. Jay was very responsive, the hot tub was a hit after skiing and we loved the fireplace and well-appointed kitchen. Plus the two minute walk to Main Street gave us immediate access to all the cool things Lake Placid has to offer: shopping, ski and skate rentals, Olympic museum, toboggan chute, dog sled rides, restaurants and more. Plus nearby driving distance to Whiteface for downhill, Cascade and Mt Vanhovenberg for XC and legacy Olympic sites including the ski jump. Highly recommend; we will be back!

Columbus Day weekend with family!

Our group of eight enjoyed an extended weekend at Jay’s property over Columbus Day weekend. The home is tucked away on a street right off of Main Street, near the Upstairs Grill if you are familiar with Lake Placid. It was very convenient to walk to town for shopping, dinner, etc. The home itself is well-maintained, clean. Comfortably accommodated our group of eight. The kitchen as well equipped for our preparing meals. The hot tub, as well as the extended deck with gas fireplace was great in the evenings. Jay was responsive to any questions. We would definitely stay again!

Large house in great location

We were in Lake Placid for a family wedding and this house was perfect. It is within walking distance to most activities and there is a lot of sleeping space and room to spread out. We also loved the hot tub.
