Rocky Ridge is a gated 60-acre community in Tahoe City bordering State Forest land, offering immediate access to hiking and mountain biking trails. Residents and guests enjoy premium amenities, including two seasonal swimming pools and spas, tennis and basketball courts, a playground, Bocce Ball, and a private beach with a pier, clubhouse, and volleyball court.

Our open-concept, two-story rentals feature vaulted mountain-style ceilings, rock fireplaces, and fully equipped kitchens. Each unit includes high-speed Wi-Fi, an in-unit washer/dryer, and all linens. Please note that homes are equipped with central heat and fans, while A/C is rare in Tahoe, we’ve provided fans to keep that fresh mountain air circulating!


*Forest View pool is being re-coated in Spring 2026, which may affect the opening date. No refunds will be given.

The stay was excellent. We rented last minute and the host was able to get us set up and ensure we had a great vacation. Despite what some of the reviews say the house was very clean and had no pet smells. I cant think of one bad thing to say about the home or the host. The entire experience was great.

Fantastic forest stay

Gorgeous setting surrounded by forest land- perfect place to explore right from your front door. Home was large and well equipped with spacious bedrooms and multiple seating and eating areas. Beds and linens were excellent- we slept great!

We had a fantastic ski holiday and this Tahoe City rental was the perfect place for our 2 families (3 teens) to call home base. The home was lovely and comfortable, and convenient to adorable Tahoe City and skiing at Palisades. We had a great time!

Central but Secluded

This property was better than described! So much larger in person and everything was immaculately put together. You can tell that they go above and beyond to make sure their guest have the best time. Plus even though it’s a larger complex with swimming pools, bocce ball, tennis courts and more you still feel like you’re secluded since this unit backs up to national forest land on three sides! All in all this place was 5 stars!

Great communication from rental company as well. Answered all my questions pre stay and when we had a fuse blow on the sunday before July 4th, they still managed to find someone to come out and fix it which we greatly appreciated. 10/10 would stay again.Also HOA beach was wonderful. Pools and open lawn space as well.

Overall, I do not recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Beautiful unit but in desperate need of remodeling, at least carpet which smelled of urine and stained thru out the unit. Unit not at all maintained, extreme wear and tear. TVs outdated, small, difficult to program. Bathrooms outdated, floors with staining. Location great but unit very used and worn out. Definitely not worth the rental price which is pretty expensive. I rec. finding another unit if you want an updated clean presentable unit. The office rental staff is beyond amazing. Wonderful people, excellent support and made our stay magical.

We try to have the carpets cleaned on a regular basis, even though the unit is older it is used very frequently making it hard to schedule maintenance.

Great location with a couple drawbacks

Overall the location was good and the space was great for 6 people. However, we soon realized that the water temperature in the shower was very unstable, especially when water was being used elsewhere. For example, if one person was showering while dishes were being washed, the water would go from icy cold to burning hot in seconds. Furthermore, it was difficult to sleep at night due to “furry friends” that could be heard from the floorboards, ceilings, and under the bathtub. The pitter-patter of small rodent feet was heard in multiple rooms by different people, and created concern not only for our experience but how hygienic the space was as well. While the agent responded to our concerns with assurances that these were merely squirrels, I still believe this should be addressed ASAP. Future guests in the property will undoubtedly experience the same issues that we encountered, and for the sake of a cleaner space and better night’s sleep, nothing should be able to enter the floorboards in the first place.

Comfy yet spacious

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: This is the fourth time we have stayed at this property. It is convenient to friends who own a place in Rocky Ridge so that is a large motivating factor. I would characterize the place as appropriately appointed - it isn't high-end luxurious, but has all of what we needed between the kitchen/fireplace living room/bed-bath spaces. There is a nice foyer with spaces for wet shoes, ski equipment and pegs for coats. And it is at a reasonable price for a place of it's size. We enjoyed having a fire going throughout the afternoon/evening and the fact that the kids could have plenty of places to hang with their friends so we weren't on top of each other trying to enjoy our time in different ways. It had good wifi but a small tv - so if you're planning on watching a big game or a special show or movie, that might be a bit disappointing. It abuts an open area with hiking/snowshoeing/X-country skiing right out the front door. Nicely located between Tahoe City and King's Beach so just a short drive to nice dinner places. No view from this unit, but you have a majestic view in a short walk to one end of the complex. We will go back I am sure.

Upon arriving at the home the smell of dog urine was so strong there were pee spots throughout the home including master bedroom. I had to pay for a hotel for the other half of my party! I was told that they were already aware of the situation however no one tried to reach out to us to see if we’d still want to stay in the home. Everyone ended up getting sick including my dog! We had to leave windows and doors open to air out the home so we could breathe. After speaking with Leah on Monday 8/18 she agreed to give me a partial refund not near as much as it should have been considering the amount I paid for 3 nights.. to say I am disappointed is an understatement! Everyone in management knew of the problem before hand and never communicated with us just let us arrive to a disgusting expensive pee house the door handle to the bedroom was broken the floors were not vacuumed tables dirty a mask in the tennis equipment basket and filthy dishes in the cupboards the towels smelled of wet dog! 3 nights of all that for $$$$?! You tell me if it was worth it? Do not rent out this home it’s not worth the cost and issues for your health!

Nice location, this unit is right next to open space which was great. Allowed pets which is a huge bonus for us. Downside: the TVs are horrible! Small and old, for the cost of the rental tv upgrades are long over due. Couldn’t even figure out the master room tv, which had very poor instructions and ancient technology.

The house was perfect and had everything we needed. the location was incredible as we had two dogs and all of the nature Tahoe has to offer was right out the door. Being in a gated community was also a plus as no traffic so kids could just head straight outside with out worrying about cars. Loved it!!!

Good townhouse for group in Fantastic location

A few friends wanted to do a remote-work week, so after some isolation and COVID tests, packed up six people and two dogs and headed to rocky ridge. The unit is very accurately described, decently well appointed, and in a fantastic location. The entrance to the state park and hiking trails is 40ft from the door, the rocky ridge neighborhood was quiet but convenient, and driving to Tahoe city (grocery stores and takeout) is 3-5 minutes from the townhouse. Furniture and tables were nice, and plenty of space to work and basics / cookware in the kitchen. After 8 days, the only comments we heard were that one or two of the twin beds weren’t very comfy, and there were some allergies (unsurprising, and mitigated after extra vacuuming), but this is an easy place to recommend. Great value, great location, people and dogs all loved it, would definitely recommend or consider staying here again.
