The Huntley Cabin was built in 2011. This home features vaulted ceilings, Oak flooring, furniture made from refurbished barn wood, and a fully-equipped kitchen. This home has three bedrooms (one of which is a large sleeping loft), three bathrooms (one has an antique clawfoot tub), and two swinging beds on the screened-in porch. This home is always impeccably clean. There is an indoor fireplace in the Living Area, and an outdoor fireplace underneath a covered porch. The covered porch features rocking chairs and a pool table. Relax in the seclusion of nature while still having the conveniences of technology - two flat-screen TVs, WIFI, +.

The Huntley Cabin features three porches and two decks. The screened-in porch (with swinging beds), the front porch which overlooks a gentle waterfall (with a propane grill), the covered side porch (with an outdoor fireplace & a pool table), a deck with a hot tub, and an additional deck. There are many places to enjoy a view of the surrounding forest!

We have a hobby farm less than a mile away – visit the Horses, Miniature Donkeys, Koi Fish, and Chickens (fresh eggs provided).

The Huntley Cabin is conveniently located – just 15 minutes to downtown Asheville, 10 minutes to the Blue Ridge Parkway, and 15 minutes to The Biltmore Estate. Fine dining, local festivals, and mountain vistas are some of the local attractions our guests enjoy.

We also have an electric charging station on our main property 1 mile away. This Level 2 EV Fast Charger is available free of charge.

The accommodations were fantastic. Secluded mountain cabin with a natural-looking water feature that really added to the feel of the location. We spent a lot of time outside enjoying the weather and the nature. The host was very helpful and made things easy for us top to bottom.

Great place! Will definitely come back. Hot tub was great and the waterfall was so relaxing. You can lay out on the bed swings and just listen to the waterfall and nature. I would highly recommend to anyone!

Our group of gals had a wonderful high school reunion stay at the Huntley! We enjoyed excellent nights' sleep in cozy beds, superb massages outside by the fire, hot tub relaxation, and spaces inside and out to congregate. We absolutely loved the waterfall sounds. The home decor is beautiful, and everything is very clean. Thank you - We'll return for sure!

The rental was beautiful, clean, and cozy. There was a problem with the hot tub at the place we originally booked, and Frank, the owner, was very open and helpful, allowing us to move to another cabin which was actually an upgrade. The hobby farm was adorable, and we were able to feed and pet mini donkeys, horses, and chickens daily, which my kids really loved. The fireplaces were great, too, and so was the beautiful mountain view.

The property is perfect for a large family stay. The outside fireplace is nice and the pool table and chairs. The screened in porch with the swing beds were fun and used that room to play cards in the evening. Beds were so comfortable.Frank was great about answering questions. He gave us great restaurant ideas and places to see while we visited Asheville. We even visited his family farm. Fresh eggs were given to us on arrival. The hot tub was nice but didn't work very well. The driveway is a little steep going into it. But we easily fit a large truck and a small SUV without any issues. Our stay was very enjoyable. I would highly recommend staying here. Lots of restaurants, breweries, and hiking near by. We took advantage of all of the above.

I took my two kids and best friend, along with her husband and kid, to a week to enjoy spring break in NC. What a WONDERFUL time we had, largely thanks to having such a wonderful home base. Between the fresh eggs, the kids excited to sleep on the porch beds, and how great a layout the house had- it made us sometimes not even want to leave to explore the area! Comfortable beds, great spacious kitchen we were able to really get some use out of, and plenty of spaces for kids and adults to do their own thing. We also loved visiting Frank’s animals- the donkeys were the favorites, Buttercup and Petunia! What a great host, very communicative and friendly, we felt well taken care of while also having our privacy respected. We would absolutely stay at one of his properties again!

Location was within a short drive to everything that we wanted to do and see. The house was very well equipped with all required equipment in the kitchen and plenty of towels! Frank was easy to work with and answered all of our questions. We had a great time!

Relaxing Home Near Lots of Activities

The small waterfall, swinging beds, hot tub and pool table all provide a relaxing retreat. Beds were comfortable and the kitchen was spacious and well stocked. Lots of variety of activities near by to enjoy and Frank was available and wanting to make your stay as perfect as possible.

After retiring from a 33 year career in sales management/ marketing, we visited our oldest daughter Etta and fell in love with Asheville. We moved to the Asheville Area in 2002 and lived in the house that became our first rental, “Our House.” (We built a cabin on the property and moved into it). Soon to follow, came our youngest daughter, Farris, and her now husband Danny. In 2009 their daughter Alyssa arrived and in 2015 Haley was born, making this a true family business.

We fell in love with Asheville and all it has to offer. We then decided to share the beauty of the Asheville Area and the hospitality of the Smokey Mountains with others. “Our House” and “My Roundette” were on the property when we originally bought it. Both have since been remodeled. We then purchased additional land and built “My Place,” “The Huntley,” “The Garden Cabin,” and “Hideout.”

The Cove at Fairview is a family business that offers high quality rental homes. We utilize reclaimed wood in our houses as well as offering luxurious amenities. Our homes are truly have rustic mountain elegance.
All of the homes have private places to gather, such as porches and decks. Our larger homes feature indoor/ outdoor fireplaces.
While being very private and close to nature, you are still afforded all of the conveniences of technology such as high-speed internet.
Kick back, relax, and have a true retreat or a wonderful place to land after an exhausting day of fun (downtown is only 15 minutes away). Downtown Asheville has many restaurants and shops, as well as many as well many outdoor activities nearby including hiking. There are breweries and several restaurants in our town of Fairview. There is something nearby for everyone!
