Cute cabin in the woods, very rustic

My partner and I spent a long weekend at the Shawnee cabin. It had everything we needed. The deck and hot tub were very private. Close to the trails! Hot tub needed to be cleaned.

This was a very enjoyable, quiet, clean, and relaxing place to stay!

This was a very nice location to stay, close to everything you would wanna do in hocking hills. The hot tub was perfect after a nice hike. Very quiet at night, perfect for a fire out in the yard.

Time Away

Overall the cabin was very good. Clean, well maintained, and nice size. The booking was very easy and communications great. Being Townies, we were not use to well water and the effects of the humidity. But that is on us not the property owners or handlers. Very good experience. Recommend.

The perfect low key get away.

The cabin was secluded and very quiet. I couldn't believe how the stars came to life in the wilderness darkness.

The cabin was a nice weekend getaway for 2.

The bed was comfortable and the cabin was neat. However, only half of the jets in the hot tub worked and the bathtub was stained from I'm assuming hard water. Other than that loved the getaway.

Cozy & quiet cabin in the woods

Location was great! Close to trails and Logan. Lots of privacy. Beds were comfortable & we had most everything we needed! No ceiling fans but we brought our own fans. Unfortunately, there wasn't a great place to plug in a fan in the loft.

Christmas stay

The location is great; central to many of the Hocking Hills trailheads (10-15 minute drives) and to Logan for shopping. Most things were fine (furnace, kitchen appliances, wifi, TV, beds,...). But, we had a few things we didn't like: lots of mouse poop in cabinet below sink was a turn off, even though we didn't see any mice; in general, the place wasn't very clean, seemed like cleaning meant a bit of vacuuming, wash sheets and towels, and that's it; the last evening when we boiled water it turned orange, which was strange; limited usable pots and pans, and the dining table has four chairs in a place advertised for four people; device to hold up the hottub cover was broken, which made it a bit unstable.

Nice area

The location was very nice. Quiet & private. The cabin itself was just ok. It is getting very worn & dated. Not worth the daily price. Towels,dishware,furniture all mismatched. Old mattresses leaning against side of cabin. No extra blankets. No outside furniture on the deck. Hot tub was nice. Never figured out how to get direct tv to work. Kept saying something blocking the dish. The water is atrocious. Very stinky. Towels,dinnerware all mis

It was just an ok place

The location was nice and having direct tv was nice. Th e bath towels need to retired to using as rags. As they were frayed. The kitchen dishes were greasy so I had to wash them . The cook wear is old and needs to be updated. The hot tubs half the jets were not working so we weren’t able to use it overall, I was disappointed and probably wouldn’t stay there again

disappointed with the management

After booking what was listed as a home in town, it was 30 minutes out of town. This was discovered minutes after booking-they emailed the actual address. I spoke to management Co. right away- they would not allow me to cancel give refund. They did allow me to stay in a home closer to town, not exactly what I was looking for but better than fighting more than I already had. That property was fair. Cleaners need some training- dirty towels were in the washer- that meant there were only a couple clean towels and they were very worn out- no laundry soap- the air fryer was filthy-pizza pan was beyond rusted-freezer had dirt in the bottom shelf. Overall the house we actually stayed at was not bad- the owners-managers-cleaners sure seems to not be paying attention to details. Customer service and accurately listing a property goes a long way. I will not be staying in any property this management co. takes care of. , They seemed to not care as long as they got my money this time. This is the only time I have left a bad review after staying at many properties across over the years.
