Catalina Got Cart Condomínio!

We work hard to keep everything nice and everyone happy so they will have a good time at our place. I have to agree that the golf cart makes everything so accessible and is a great perk.

As for the pool and jacuzzi, we would love to have it working but we have no control over those two items. We were able to install a brand new muffler on our golf cart so it is quiet now. We just installed a new large screen tv, new flooring, a new stove and above the range microwave, and all new paint, so it will be a while before we do more updating.

At the last minute the party decided they have an extra person which we needed to accommodate. We did our best to make things work. Everything in our Condo works well because we are constantly replacing or repairing anything that fails. We have flower non skid pads in the bathtub to prevent falls for seniors and not for aesthetic purposes. The Jennifer's Convertible sofa is a sofa bed in great shape but not comparable to a permanent bed. The recliner does not have arms that are falling off but it is on our list for the next item to be replaced. We offer a great Condo in Avalon, close to all with a cart to drive at a reasonable price.

Our Condo is right out of the 80"s. When we bought it 15 years ago, it looked very familiar. On closer inspection, we found that we had stayed in our unit in 1984 while on vacation when it was new. We have stayed with the 80's theme since it brings back great memories. Everything in our place, as you can see from the pictures, is in great condition, restored and working fine. It goes along with the entire theme of the island, keeping things great and just as they once were. We have a terrific cleaning service which cleans our place after each party leaves, so there is no need to strip the beds, clean the refrigerator, etc. We have a great dishwasher and a two year old Jennifer's Convertible Sofa Sleeper if you have a party of four. The cleaning ladies will take care of any worn linen items and remove them from circulation since blankets, comforters and sheets are cleaned and rotated throughout several units. They have also exchanged the pillows and addressed the mattress. The pool and jacuzzi are heated on the weekends and not weekdays during Winter months. In May they are heated daily throughout the summer months. Water, power, and landfill space are an extremely valuable commodities on the island and must be conserved. Our toilets and some outdoor faucets operate on saltwater to conserve fresh water. We could spend lots of money on barging over new appliances and new furniture, but we have opted to supply our vacationers with the luxury of driving around our street licensed golf cart and free gas. This allows people to visit, stay in an nice spacious home, and have transporation to see island sights at a most reasonable price. The majority of our people who stay with us are more than happy with our "retro" decor and transportation provided since golf carts rent by the hour at a premium price. As you can see from our calendar, we are extremely busy and thrive on returning vacationers.

Having the microwave on the counter doesn't seem to be a problem since most microwaves are located there. The parking space for the golf cart is in a fenced area where it cannot be seen and a 1 to 2 minute walk is not excessive. When attending a special event it would be wise to wipe down the cart before attending it since the previous visitor may have been enjoying the backroads of Avalon. We have a person who cleans the cart but he is not able to clean it after every single traveler. Whatever items the residents place in front of the golf cart is up to them since we do not own that property and just rent the parking space. The golf cart doesn't even mind having items in front of it. The bathroom towels are supplied by a service so sometimes they are thick and sometimes they are thinner. The bathroom and kitchen are always cleaned after each set of visitors so they are left spotless with new towels, toilet paper, paper towels, etc. We have experienced some problems with our cable so as soon as we are able to make sure everything is good we will be installing wi-fi. The pictures of the interior of our condo are exactly as it is. None of the pictures have been enhanced. The traveler neglected to mention that he was shuttled to the golf cart by the manager to avoid walking and helped with directions to our condo. Also to avoid the steps he could have used the elevator.

We are sorry our golf cart is out of service but it is being repaired. We supplied a cart as our title states and should not be held responsible for the condition of the loaner which we have no control over. The towels in our unit are supplied by a service which changes all the linens so I will ask them to make sure the towels are in good shape. The cleaning service also supplies the soap which is the same bars that they supply to the hotels. In 15 years of service we have never had anyone comment about the soap or towels so we will take that into consideration.
