Detail:
Wildwood Dome is 450 sq ft and features a king size bed, living area and fully equipped kitchenette. Your private bathroom is located a short walk away and has a shower with rainfall shower head, toilet and sink/vanity. The spacious deck is outfitted with a BBQ grill, seating, firepit and a soaking tub.

Amenities: We provide tons of extras so you can pack light. All linens/towels are provided. You will also find coffee+tea, creamer, spices, oils and condiments in the kitchen. Shampoo/conditioner/body wash are provided in the bathroom.

(An extensive list of what is provided and amenities will be sent 14 days before check in to help you pack light.)

WIFI:
We do have Wi-Fi (though no cell service) but we strongly encourage guests to disconnect during their stay at Rooted Domes. Here you will find a unique opportunity to disconnect from the hustle and bustle of everyday life and just BE. Immerse yourself in the natural beauty of the surrounding forest and indulge your senses with an array of engaging activities to enhance your stay, including games, puzzles, coloring books, musical instruments, yoga mats, and much more!

Other Guests:
There is a second Dome on the property and the domes are orientated for the most privacy. The domes/guests share the parking area, the pathway to the site and access to the creek and forest. Please observe a quiet time (low music) between 9pm and 8am so everyone can enjoy the sounds of the forest! :)

It was a great stay. Great ambience. fully self sufficient with a lot of amenities. Peaceful place to relax and unwind. Although the price was a little steep for one night, it was a clean and wonderful stay.

the stay was absolutely fantastic

the cleanliness of the property was amazing - inside and out. The open quiet place was perfectly set up and has everything i could have imagined. This was my first solo trip to relax and recharge and the dome allowed me to do exactly that. I felt safe. The stars were amazing. I would love to return regularly if i could afford the normal cost as i booked a last minute winter holiday deal. The steep driveway had me concerned about getting back up to leave but the day I left, it was dry and fine.

Magical and whimsical stay

We stayed at the Wildwood Domes, the stay was a perfect getaway for a last minute trip at a reasonable price. It had many trinkets and activities inside the dome if we were stormed in, and the aesthetic of the dome was very pleasing as well. Even though we went in the end of November we were very warm with the accommodations and supplemental heat sources provided for our stay. Would recommend to anybody looking for a nice place to stay at in the area

The view was amazing and I loved how clean and cozy our area felt. The details were awesome. Love how accessible and close to Hocking Hills and Athens it was! Great experience!!

I LOVED it! So magical, beautiful, and perfect.

I loved everything about this place, the dome was cozy and very unique. The host Megan is just amazing! She makes your stay even better, always available with quick responses. I loved that you can add on things to celebrate anniversary or birthdays, she also has kayaks which we also enjoyed. Overall 10/10. Also the little lights throughout the bridge and going up the stairs at night so magical & beautiful! The bathroom decor super cute too. I loved everything about this place and the experience.

It was the most relaxing place to enjoy a long weekend.

How peaceful it was, the accommodation and all the details put into the dome made the stay amazing. It was a welcoming place and we enjoyed the outdoor tub and fire. There’s not one thing I’d complain about. One suggested I might have is putting an empty bin by the fridge for the little hand towels. Thank you for an amazing stay!!!

It was a magical weekend.

It was a good distance to not have to drive too far to the trails, and it was a beautiful place to relax after a long day of hiking. The outdoor bath (with included bath bubbles) was awesome, and the dome itself was full of character. I especially love the record player and the different vinyls.

We stayed at the Wildwood dome and it was such a wonderful experience. The space is serene and restful, with thoughtful details everywhere that make it feel both cozy and special. Inside, the design strikes the perfect balance of comfort and style, and outside, the deck and soaking tub were highlights—mornings with coffee in the quiet woods and evenings under the stars were unforgettable. You can tell so much care went into creating a place that helps you slow down and recharge. It was perfect.

We enjoyed our escape to the forest so much that we are already planning our next visit for November

The Wildwood dome felt like stepping into a storybook—every detail perfectly placed. We lounged on the boho swing in the living room, soaked in the outdoor spa tub, and watched the woods and creek from the sprawling deck. We also enjoyed stumbling upon the gnomes and their secret hideouts tucked around the property. Every inch of the Wildwood dome was filled with wonder!

This place was immaculate. Absolutely adorable in every corner. Loved the deck and outdoor tub, loved the bed and little kitchen, all the decor. Wished we stayed multiple nights! Will for SURE come back here if we visit hocking hills again. Recommendation: a little microwave. The toaster oven made our frozen oatmeal from Trader Joe’s a little tricky. But that’s on us.

My Wife and I have been super busy with work and wasn’t getting a chance to really spend time with one another. We decided last minute to book a trip and we stayed here. The Dome was new and different for us but such a good time. For only a one night stay we truly did enjoy our time and we will 100% be coming back.

Perfect get away!

This stay was beautiful. Megan thought of everything you could need and more. Everything was so peaceful and beautifully decorated. There were candles, diffusers and star projectors and even a heating pad on the mattress that made the cold nights cozy. She made this dome feel like you never wanted to leave!

Such a magical and fun stay! Will be recommending to others and love to come again some time!

So many small things that really brought the stay to a new level such as the projector, records, games, Polaroids, instruments. Everything felt so deliberate and set up with love.

My "neighborhood" is the Forest! I share this space with deer, coyotes, bobcat, birds, frogs and so many other critters! I love being able to breath in the fresh air and watch the seasons change. The Forest provides the perfect place to slow down and look at life through kids eyes again! Search for tiny mushrooms and wildflowers, throw rocks in the creek, turn up rocks and see what lives underneath and turn the clouds into any shape or being imaginable!

If you would like to go down a little rabbit hole, search Geodesic domes and Sacred Geometry and its effect on the mind!

If that's a little too much, the simple fact is that we are so use to square and rectangular shapes in this world, that just being in a different shape seems to awaken the mind and bring a sense of awe and delight to your stay! Paired with serene nature views and eclectic design makes Rooted Domes a truly unique experience!
