This beautiful property is located on 1.1 acres of wooded and lake front property. It has 180 degree view of the lake, with most rooms facing the lake. It also has over 300 ft. of shoreline, heated pool and it's own private beach. This home is located in a quiet residential neighborhood. Parties and events are not allowed. We are pet friendly! However, we must limit pet size to 30lbs. Additionally, there is a fee for guests traveling with pets.

Great stay for the whole family.

Exceeds expectations

This property does not disappoint. Family vacation with 3 generations represented. All amenities were as advertised, and the overall property was truly amazing. Property host and management team were professional, pleasant and courteous. Truly a wonderful vacation for our family, the house and rented boat were highlights.

7/30/2022 to 08/06/2022 Stay at Fountain of Young

Our family thoroughly enjoyed our stay. The house accommodated our extended family of nine comfortably. We spent many hours in and around the pool. Our three grandchildren, ages 11,12 & 13, kayaked, spent hours in the pool and enjoyed the media center in the basement. We cooked almost all of our meals in the well-equipped kitchen. The setting of the house and the views were just wonderful. A few areas could use some TLC...but I doubt the house is vacant long enough for that to happen. Thank you for a fine week by the lake. Nice, but not worth the rate

First I'd like to stay that overall, we enjoyed our stay at this home. There was plenty of space for all of us to relax and not feel on top of each other. The pool was excellent as was the dock, with the outdoor sound system being a nice surprise. However, the house needs some upkeep and deep cleaning. There are cobwebs and dust everywhere- inside and out. While the major stuff- such as furniture and toilets were clean enough, the walls, ceilings, corners, doorways in all rooms and entryways were not clean. The recycling bins inside were full as well. There was a busted pillow behind the sofa downstairs which had clearly been there a while. There were also some significant maintenance issues. On the first day, a step going down to the dock completely broke, almost causing an ankle injury. When we called the property manager, we were told maintenance would fix it when they came that Monday to repair a hinge on a kitchen cabinet. They did not come. Then a light switch was literally glowing and hot and the pool lights went out. We called about these two things, which were fixed when the electrician came for the switch. A bolt in the pool ladder continuously came out; the banister on the deck is very, very wobbly; a post was out of one part of the deck; a bar height chair broke when someone sat in it; there's a piece of tile in the basement that the corner sticks up from the carpet which makes a tripping and injury hazard. Further, while we were there the pool maintenance person came and put chemicals in the pool, causing us to lose half a day swimming (we couldn't get in after that until around 1pm); AND the lawn care people came and cut/weed-eated while we were trying to relax and stirred up the swarm of mayflies that had taken over, which then infested the pool and swarmed so that we had to go inside. Another annoying thing was a complete lack of any extra bedding. This could be an amazing getaway place, but we won't be paying this amount to stay again, which is quite disappointing.

This place was great with many amenities for everyone's enjoyment. We loved our own private beach on the lake and the relaxing salt-water pool. We wish our stay was longer!

Mother's Day at the Lake House

Overall, very good. Loved all the amenities: pool, fire tables, kayaks, well-stocked kitchen, and the VIEW!! Issues: No large kitchen trash bin (we used laundry basket with our own leaf bags), lots of rusting broken chairs on property, including one at the pool, which our 80--year--old fell out of onto the deck when it broke as he was sitting in it (DANGEROUS)!, front gate wide open when we arrived, until we tried to leave on our check-out date (never given instructions on gate lock use), lots of clutter on surfaces, which occupants could have put to better use , groundskeepers were week-whacking outside the outdoor dining on Friday as we were eating dinner at 7:30pm(then one was insistent upon climbing the spiral stairs to the back deck with a leaf blower).

House was exactly what we needed! Would highly recommend to anyone looking for a place to stay while in the area. Would 100% book again if we make the trip to Lake Wylie again in the future.

Awesome vacation!

We had a wonderful stay at the fountain of young! 7 adults, 4 kids and a dog and we never felt cramped. The pool was amazing, a highlight of the trip. The kitchen has everything you need, spices, oil, pots and pans galore. We rented a pontoon for 2 days and also enjoyed the kayaks. We had so much fun we barely left the property. Thanks for a great vacation!

Wonderfully Relaxing!

We have 10 of 7s who graduated high school together and rent a house every year for vacation. The house had everything we could need. The kitchen was overstocked, lol! We stayed in the bedroom that overlooked the family room below and once we shut the door it was very quiet, no noise from below drifted up. Plentiful bathrooms and the outdoor full bathroom right by the pool was a pleasant surprise. We even had a masseuse come in to give 6bof us massages and the "coffee room" of the family room was perfect for her to set up in. The property management was very attentive and great to work with. We would absolutely recommend staying here to anyone!

Family vacation

We were blown away by all that The Fountain of Young had to offer. Our family of 10 absolutely loved every minute of our time on vacation! This home and every person we had contact with were the absolute best! We went fishing, boating, swimming, tubing, lounging, kayaking, paddle boarding worked a puzzle, and watched movies on the big screen. This vacation was AMAZING! We are grateful to everyone involved in making this trip so effortless on our end. We would definitely recommend this property to others!

Everything you need and more!

A perfectly relaxing visit. We especially appreciated the fully-equipped kitchen as we cooked a lot all week. It is a terrific location, particularly during COVID.

Beautiful home

We enjoyed our short stay at the Fountain of Young. We were in town for a wedding and needed to be closer to the venue. We will definitely look into renting this property for a future vacation.

Everything for a perfect weekend

We were impressed with how well supplied the vacation home was. Adam was quick to respond to questions and checked with us that we had what we needed. The location and views were superb; perfect for a stay close to Belmont for our daughter's wedding weekend!

Overall a great stay

Great spot for a family trip. The downstairs “apartment” area was great for our +1 in addition to the main family unit. The house was well stocked. The river/lake area was pretty dirty and muddy, so swimming from the beach wasn’t possible (you would stick in the mud) but you could boat down to more open water and swim. The pool made it so it wasn’t an issue at all.

Great end to summer vacation!

We just finished a week-long stay at the Fountain of Young. We had an absolute blast. The house is great - perfectly stocked for large groups, plenty of space for everyone! Our 5 and 7 year olds rated this "one of the top houses" because of the pool, beach entrance to the lake, and movie screen. Adults loved being on the water, the pool, grilling on the back porch and hanging out in the evenings in the gazebo with the fire pit table. Adam (property manager) made everything REALLY easy - renting a boat, finding a place to golf and being super responsive to any questions we had. I highly recommend renting a pontoon and cruising around Lake Wylie!

A House that has it all!

The house was absolutely gorgeous! It had everything we needed. The theater room is to die for. The pool was excellent! Everybody enjoyed it. The kayaks and paddle boards were used a lot. The pier was great! The only draw back was the water was low and very muddy. Fishing was very slow. Communication with Adam was excellent! He is an excellent person to rent from. The house and the property is definitely an 11 out of 10!

Fantastic Stay at the Fountain of Young!

My family stayed at the Fountain of Young for 2 amazing weeks during May/June 2020. The property has high-end finishes and provided all of the fun and entertainment our party of 8 (including 2 little ones under 6) could have asked for. Plenty of room for more people and no need to leave once you arrive. Our kids spent hours swimming in the pool, playing on the lakeside beach, riding bikes in the large circular driveway, fishing for catfish off the dock and watching movies in the home theatre. Be sure to take advantage of the boat rental option so you can enjoy beautiful Lake Wylie - Adam and Charlie make the entire process very easy. If you’re looking for a fun rental to disconnect and unwind, this is the place for you. Couldn’t recommend it more.
